  1. yeh i wouldnt waste your hard earned on trying to make your already sweet looking r33 into something it isnt. also looks a bit try hard if ya know what i mean.
  2. my brother bought a 93 non turbo supra from downunder auto imports wangara, completely mint condition. has had it for a year or so now and not a single thing gone wrong.
  3. Hi mate, interested in the Apexi Power FC, i still have the stock ecu, is this a plug in piggy back system? or does it replace the whole ecu? thanks, i live in perth btw. oh and it works good?
  4. you reckon the supra had 164kw yeh? and the r34 gtt on redbook.com is 187kw, thats only a 23kw difference? i hear they actually tend to have a bit more than what they say, but still thats a bit mind blowing, lol anyway if i were you i wouldnt waste money on a n/a skyline, buy a shitbox hyundai excel or something, dont put rims, exhaust or neons or any gay shit on it (will be easier to sell and get more for it). own it till you get your full license then buy an r34 gtt, or scrape a couple more grand together and get an r33 GTR
  5. Cheers for input guys. Thats everything i needed to know.
  6. Hi, i had a look through the search function but no luck, was wondering if anyone knew if the standard heat shield keeps temperatures down a bit (meaning external/or near the turbo) opposed to without? thanks.
  7. Hi ive got a 1996 R33 GTST S2, are there any wheel spacers out there that are safe to use? has anyone personally had any problems with them? or is the guy in that quoted thread just paranoid to the shitter? Cheers.
  8. Hi guys i just bought my s2 r33 gtst yesterday so im new to all of this basicly, what does the term hunting mean? also my idle is at about 600-650rpm which is what it should be i think, but would it hurt turning it up to about 800 or 900rpm? thanks. will give it a go one day, wicked tutorial insu, keep em coming.
  9. Im keen on doing something like this for summer, oh and wicked job btw. Does anyone know of a more heat resistant material to use? maybe some aluminium sheet metal with heat sinks around lol.. a little over the top? Also have you had any problems with police? or is it perfectly legal? thanks.
  10. Mate dont risk f**king your engine up, dont touch it unless you know exactly what ya doing, take it, wait, and pay a proffessional mechanic to do it the right way, then you can get that piece of mind and sleep like a baby. dont mean to sound like a dickhead, but i dont want your car to blow up
  11. I might look into getting an oil cooler, ive heard people covering or blocking them up during the colder parts of the year due to oil temps taking too long to warm up, or something along those lines. if anyone could give insight as to how much id be looking at to get one fitted to a stock r33 gtst? cheers. also do they all have to be mounted behind the drivers side fog lights? or is there another place better suited? thanks!
  12. nice work, where and how did you get hold of the GTR wing? was it a mission to find?
  13. Found one! Thanks guys. how to close thread?
  14. Ive seen quite a few R32 GTR's around that are within my budget, now id kill to own one some day, however with a little research and investigating i chose not to buy one. main reason is they need alot of maintainence, insurance would be killer, and basicly just wouldnt be able afford one at the moment. choosing an R33 GTST because they are cheaper/newer and not that far off from its big brother.
  15. Has to be in good working order with decent paint/tyres and NO rust or accident history. Can be modded or stock. Will not purchase without getting proffessionally inspected (by a mobile mechanic). Car-less at the moment and can have the money ready on any day during the week. Mobile - 0423 597 293 Work - 9300 0497 Home - 9301 5861 Thanks, Luke.
  16. Hi guys im new to skylines was wondering if anyone could help me out? well im looking for my first R33 GTST and pretty stoked, now ive got my eye on a 1996 R33 GTST SII, and its a bargain, or is it? the owner says the ABS isnt working and the ABS light is permanently on, reckons even if you paid $600 odd it still might not even work then. i took it for a drive, the brakes work fine but i didnt want to stomp them and see what happens. im just wondering if you think theres something fishy about it? is it even worth fixing even if the brakes work fine though the ABS wont kick in when need be (ive had my license just over a year and have only screeched the brakes once, early morning + wet roads lol) or should i buy one with an ABS that works? any help would be good, thanks.
  17. Yep ^^^ In an ideal world, id rather have a worked/restored R32 GTR than any of the others, that thing has the presence of a a damn ferrari F40 i tells ya.
  18. Go the R33 GTR, imo they look way better than any 34, especially with 18in BBS and lowering, just looks so tougher. oh and they are way faster, probably a downside in your case because it converts into more fuel consumption. but if you earn enough who cares.
  19. sorry but just curious but why do you want to sell it, and downgrade to something less powerful? sorry for being nosey, just mind boggles me
  20. After reading this makes me laugh, my work-mate owns a VY clubsport R8, when we leave work he revs it to the limiter a few times just after cold start, then does a huge burnout down the street.
  21. i had a 98 hyundai excel manual that used to do this, reaaaaally bad when your going like 5-15kms.
  22. Are those the types that are either go or stall? are they worth it?
  23. What sort of clutch is most preffered or most popular for street use? lets say for an R33 GTST SII. Thanks.
  24. Im in the same boat with ya drift4, so can i get this straight. they replace your old ECU with a new one (powerFC??), then they remap your air fuel ratios n stuff on the dyno? or do they upload/tweak your existing ECU on the dyno? I know, i should be shot
