NISSAN GTR

The previous owner in Japan used a rain x style product to coat the whole car -which he sprayed on and buffed out --- weird ?My understanding is natural carnauba wax is also used as shoe polish , surfboard wax ,chewing gum . Will it be long lasting , as my car is used once a month . Whats a good brand . cheers

Can you tell me what the best product is for paint protection , my car has a perfect paint job already yes i have read many topics in regard to waxing and paint protection , so many i am really confused , my car just needs protection/coating from sun and rain without altering the surface with an abrasive product . Should i be using a tech wax or has anyone heard of tough seal - any good ? something else ???????????????

i was pissed off when my neighbours cat sratched my porsche 911 . it is dead now . lol

Its not fun to drive its a farkin beast , first time i drove one , i blew so hard the first time i put the power on . Basically you get major rear wheel spin for a split second and then the front wheels kick in ,thats when it pulls hard , i got the R35 on a track up to 300 kph and backed off before top speed , still felt stable though ! Still great on public roads although some roads in Adelaide are really bad . A very nice ride in comparison to my old 930 turbo ! Great value for what you get , nothing will come close to it on the street in looks and performance, only problem is the poor rear vision and semi auto down change is delayed to long and can be a bumpy shift down .

Yeah actually there is a fair bit of residue around the rear bumper , we definately know its not the turbo seals = new turbs !

My mate reckons its always had the same power since he got the new turbs 6 months ago , i agree with him on this , but we think the smoke issue is getting worse , i have been with Ben when he has boosted after cruising, at night you cant see shit in the rear vision mirror afterwards . We may need a new diagnostic check , sounds like a good idea

My mate Ben needs advice ,his GTR is in near original condition 52,000kms It blows heaps of smoke on boost for the first two times after warm up then completely stops smoking , it blows smoke again after cruising around slowly for a while. i was thinking it may be unburnt fuel built up in the exhaust ? He has had new turbos installed , HKS exhaust and recent tune to get rid of the ceramics , any ideas why the smokey shit .

a good comparison is the GT3 porsche , i think this would be a similar lap time to a full on GTR 34 given the r35 is slightly faster than a GT3, is this a fair comment . GT3 best lap can do a lap of Mallala in 1.14 secs and greg murphy commodore v8 supercar in 1.08 .
