NISSAN GTR

In some states a high mount brake light is an ADR requirement on any car after 1985 , cars that were in factory production first started using them , as standard therefore the ADR. I just recently had to fit one to my GTR R32 , i went to supercrap auto , and got them to order one out of a bosch catalogue book , cost 60 bucks for a 24 led adjustable high mount light and fitted it to rear window . sorted

I have wondered if VAREX mufflers adjustable butterfly could clog up eventually after a while and refuse to open , is this true, are they any good flow wise, also is the sound on a GTR any good , im thinkin of getting turbo back , Is X-force a good unit ! Any guys or girls had one on there skyline for a while now , is the adjustable butterfly still working !

im guessing your talking about coilovers , if so yes they are pretty easy takes patience and some decent tools . I took time with my GTR over two weekends with no help , the hardest thing for me was manufacturing brackets for the ABS which i made out of 2.7mm thick galv plate. If you do pick an R34 gtt you will regret it , why tip toe around like a little school girl , get yourself some balls and get a GTR 32 , you will not rergret the looks and drive of the original godzilla , half the fun is finding one .IRON CHEF IMPORTS

i agree there is no sure way to tell , im sure anyone can tell whether a plenum has been repainted or not , why would anyone buy a car that has a scratched or re -painted plenum let alone any modifications . How would you tell smartie pants how many k's a car has done

Where do you live - hint ? i use a good quality alarm for $750 with glass break, turbo timer chip , boot/bonnet switch + immobiliser , internal sreamer LOUD !!!!!!! Decided against keypad as i had a WRX with one , it will piss you off when you stall at the lights or you dont start the car first time and then you have to put the code in . No keypad ! Nat sav or mobile connectivity is to expensive about $1700 but thats up to you .

Most important is heat damage from the engine ! with GTRs the intake plenum will have some black flecks of paint miss on it 100,000km you can usually tell if it has high ks as most of the paint will be missing . Some stock rb26s have the paint scratched off or repainted or replaced, give them a miss unless the rest of the car is in great nick or its been modified already ! Check out for sticker marks on the filter box and cam belt cover , in japan when a car has its 100000 km service and they replace the cam belt they leave a sticker on the cam belt cover on top , even when this is removed down the track you should still see the imprint - therefor if the speedo says 60000km you know its done 100000 +kms Perfect and not so perfect

i think skyline drivers are stuck up , because we know nothing much will beat us at the lights ! I joined a commodore forum for fun when i was home with a broken ankle , i was really , really suprised how much respect for skyline drivers they have , i wish i could say the same for us . About 90 % of us are respectable but for the other 10 % trolls - hang your head in shame . I will try to like commodore drivers more (GAY I KNOW) , lets face it they love their cars as much as we do !!!!!!

I had a C2 then a GT3 RUF version , but bought a GTR to see all the hype , and it does live up to it , but you pay for what you get .

No, i think you will find a GTR will get owned every time by a GT3 , we just gotta face it

In my opinon the GT3 is an all round easier car to track , compared to the GTR when pushed will get loose around corners easier than the GT3 /2 , drivers of any skill level can tell you this . Some mates of mine say the GT3 or 2s are "boring" to drive when compared to the GTR !
