  1. the first route through scottsdale looks good, i wasnt really keen on the dirt roads either.
  2. hey tom, its on the west coast near queenstown, on the way to an old town called gormanston. the landscape is really bizzare from all the mining that used to happen in the area, some of the hills are covered in sulphur (i think) as they are orange/pink. id be keen for a cruise with some of you guys if you ever want to head down there. a great cruise is, down the the west coast through gormanston and on to hobart for tea then midland highway back home north.. its an all-dayer but so worth it.
  3. hey justin how bad was the damage to your rims? and how much did ian charge? cheers
  4. my r34's also running hks coilovers and yes they are very hard, but i think you'll find that you get used to the stiffness quite quickly, and once you do, you will really appreciate the benefits of these coilovers. the skyline, despite wearing average tyres at the moment handles like a go cart and is more confidence inspiring than my wrx around turns, i credit this primarily to the coilovers, although it does have swaybars aswell. i recomend fitting the rears and seeing if you cant adapt to it, then make your decision on selling or keeping. cheers
  5. i was born in and lived in melbourne for the majority of my life, so im well aware of the public attitude there, is that attitude warranted? you tell me. we are discussing this in a thread where the consensus is that the police are useless to help in a situation of need, yet they bitch about public attitude toward them. (this is not necessarily aimed at gdogzgtr) i wasnt having a go at him, i was just disagreeing with his blanket stereotyping of the public. but you're right i live in tasmania now, my views "mean nothing", continue..
  6. apart from not being able to string together an understandable sentence, i think you have the wrong idea of the publics attitude. from what you write i presume you are a police officer? and you are implying that the general public want to "punch on" (youre words not mine) police who are simply driving past?
  7. you'll be glad you brought youre car, this awaits.. enjoy!
  8. no i agree, im up for it!
  9. very good photo tasmanian roads have to rank as the best driving roads
  10. route link this is the route proposed by nissangts, looks good, but it is quite long.
  11. lots of r34 gtt's have the gtr rims, they look perfect on the gtt in my opinion, slightly overpriced though, every set i see is around $1900.. gl
  12. if everyone drives sensibly and obeys the road rules, there wont be any drama on the sideling, if people insist on driving like hero's then there will be issues wherever the cruise is held. and considering what happened recently in nsw after an sau cruise, i think it would be appropriate to keep it tame. sav man i agree about the cradle route, lots of good driving up there aswell, might be too far for some though..
  13. thanks for the replies, im up devonport way so ill give andy morris a call, do you have a contact number madaz r33? cheers
  14. does anyone in tassie repair gutter rash? 2 of my rims have slight gutter rash and id like to get them repaired as i want to powdercoat the rims. know of anyone?
  15. the sideling is brilliant, drove it yesterday in my parents nissan terrano td in the wet, we had a few quiet and tense moments.. if im free june 26 then ill definately be up for it, hopeing for dry weather though.
  16. ^ agreed with a modified r34gtr, you've essentially reached the limit of mechanical stimulation available to anyone with a budget sub 100k. if youre car is stock, throwing a little money at it, at the right things should re-ignite any lost infatuation. but in the long run it may only leave you wanting more, and the point may come when you ask yourself if the money spent on mods along with the value of your r34, would be enough to get that r35 or new m3? personally, id spend a little on mods for the gtr to bring back the spark and drive a cheap daily most of the time, then just like any junkie youll be itching for that gtr hit, which you can treat yourself to on any weekend. cheers
  17. wow that sucks. will keep a lookout.
  18. +1 on the fuse. i had a similar issue, turned out to be the fuse in the drivers footwell fuse box. i didnt have a clue which fuse to pull out and check, so just decided to pull random ones, turns out the first one i pulled out was blown and was responsible for the cluster and all gauges not working.
  19. are the r34gtr washer bottles the same as the r34gtt washer bottle? if so ill take it.
