  1. Damn! Thanks for the heads up Jake32. Well there goes that idea. Any1 got any other suggestions for me? Any1 selling R33 or R34 GTR stock rims? I head Ford AU rims might fit?
  2. Demon Dave, What do stock R34 rims look like? You must have some you want to sell me. Or stock R33 GTR rims? Any got a pic of them?
  3. Hehe I like your comments here guys. I already have expensive rays 18" rims with some equivilently over prices tyres slapped on, so when it comes to play time I feel a little uneasy burning them up! Basically the wide ass rims and tyres I got on at the moment are too grippy and don't allow me to pull a nice slide through a corner without laying down the full power 2nd in the GTR provides. So I just want to fit something cheap and standard to practise my drifting. I also got a virbation issue in the rear end to address. I think it's the shocks, but need some stockys to play with. So, has any1 done this? Can any1 verify that yes they will definately fit, cause they've done this before?
  4. Can someone let me know if R33 16" stock GTST 5x114.3 rims fit onto R33 GTR?
  5. I went down to Geelong to get mine inspected by vic roads, becuase u have to make an appointment for an import and this was the only thing avaliable for like two weeks. The importer i went with said it was the quickest he had seen any import put on the road. The guy there didn't have a clue about the car, or what to check for. So i recommend going to Geelong, even if you don't live close like me. Avoids problems. Also they believe that I payed $18,000 for a GTR.
  6. Are R33 GTST rims 5x114.3 stud pattern? Will they fit GTR?
  7. I got my GTR at 21.. It can be done! I payed 37000 for my R33 GTR V-Spec. Was financed under commbank at $650 a month to repay, now I refinanced my house and car loan and I pay a lot less cause it's based over 30 years.
  8. NSW don't have it better than VIC. NSW ppl have to be under .02 bload alchol when on full licence, where as we get .05 Also don't NSW drivers have to get a road worth check done every year? How does that work with modded cars?
  9. The manual would cover v-spec stuff too. right? I assume all R33's are covered?
  10. MINES_DATSUN - don't you have a cover on your fuses indicating which one is which?? It is one of those litlle green fuses that controls 4WD/ LSD pump on my R33 V-spec. It was a 30amp fuse. Just pull them one at a time and start the car, when the 4WD light on the dash comes on u know you got the right one. You wont do any damage by pulling fuses.
  11. Ive just been out under my car and found that it wouldn't be that hard to clamp or block that line supplying fluid to the transfer case. Any 1 done this before? Also there are two seperate electric supply plugs for the pump. any1 know about these?
  12. I have now had a chance to add to this topic. Due to a recent skidpan day. With a R33 GTR (non V-Spec) you can simply pull the fuse in the boot located second from the middle in the small fuse box to give yourself 100% RWD power. However on a GTR V-Spec as mine is. Pulling the fuse labeled 4WD/LSD also causes the LSD to become inactive because of the hydraulic pump supplying pressure to both the 4WD transfer clutch and LSD clutch. Therefore making it useless for dirft and skidpan days. So i'm still searching for the solution without removing front shaft or spending $$ on HKS splitter crap. Plus removing the fluid from the pump is going to have the same effect on the active v-spec LSD. right? Neither will work. This option is good for ppl who just wanna use a RWD dyno, but no good for a wanna be drifter like myself. Any comments ??

  14. You would think that some smart individual would have the manual in digital format, this is the computer age! Come on kids, share the manual.....
  15. Here is a few pics. Sorry I didn't get everyone. E-mail me if you want full res copies of pics. I have more than what's here. [email protected]
  16. So does anyone want to post the 'how to' on R33 / R34 RWD only? (without damaging your clutch packs)
  17. I thought this forum was to help people understand their cars??? Private info is just your way of being tight.
  18. One thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that a person on P Plates is banned from driving a GTR by the RTA, hence the reason I bought my GTR at 21. This is the case in VIC, cannot comment for WA. You can ask the RTA to fax you a list of the 'banned' cars list. But bottom line is that it's only illegal if you get caught and at a guess 2% of traffic cops could tell the diff between GTR / GTST. So go the R! U wont regret it.
  19. Thanks for the opinions guys. CerealKiller / Blitz - I want RWD for drift and skidpan days. 4WD sticks too well and therefore limits my fun. harhar (evil laugh) EVL R33 (Brett) - Have you removed this fluid yourself before? Could you perhaps elaborate on how this is done? Where is the 4WD pump found?
  20. Thanks Ash. I'll give it some thought.... Someone must know how to do this without spending huge money?
  21. I have searched these forums for info on how to make an R33 GTR into RWD, and found little helpful advise based on R33's. I'd like for someone who has done this before, by removing fuse or front shaft (from transfer case to front diff) to comment on how this was done / any problems encountered? Also Mine is a V-Spec, so dunno if this makes things more difficult. I understand pulling the fuse isn't the answer (on R33), but what does this do exactly?
