I was working on the GTR out the front and had to duck inside to get something just as your truck pulled up. Had no idea that was you! By the way thanks for the new light On a spotted note, a silver V35 4 door out the front of Japanese Import Spares this afternoon.

You can find it at Autobarn. It’s called 8100 X-max. Apparently exactly the same as X-cess, just a different name for a different viscosity. There is a bit of discussion on this oil back a few pages here.

Changing Registration From Interstate
S1LV3RTRACKS replied to GTAAAAAAH32's topic in South Australia
From my recent experience make sure anything obvious which is not stock is hidden or removed. That includes turbo timers, boost controllers, aftermarket BOVs, suspension, intake mods, loud exhausts etc. As well as an ID check they go over and look for basic defects. Earlier this month I had to take the GTR through for an ID check and I was rejected twice – once for tint, having an engraved VIN rather than stamped and not having an English manual in the glove box. The second time they got me for having coilovers even though the first inspector told me they are fine. If they do find issues I found they like to only list a couple and once you get those rectified and go back they will point out a couple more. Basically make sure they can’t pick on anything. Before you go, ensure the car has some form of valid registration or you will need a day permit from the motor registry. They will refuse to perform the inspection if you don’t have some form of valid registration or a permit and obviously you run the risk of being fined for driving an uninsured and unregistered car if you don’t. If you are unsure and need more information ring Service SA and they will tell you everything you need to know. -
I now know the Patrol so next time I see it ill wave

Think I spotted Matty 31 in his Patrol driving past Braeside Ave on Seacombe Rd just before 6pm today.

I’ve given them a shot before when I needed a temporary LAN. The ones I had (Netgear if I can recall correctly) claimed to run at 200Mbps. I know that’s a theoretical speed however based on my tests I could only ever achieve 30-35Mbps tops which was too slow for my needs. I was expecting at least 50Mbps. Now I have wired the house with CAT6 right through. MUCH better for multiple hi-def streams

Not sure of the price for second hand ones but if you are wondering what a pair goes for brand new expect to pay $3700 from Nissan or $3300 from Kudos Motorsports.

No longer in need of a GTR air box. All sorted
-
Thanks Mitch, I’ll get in contact with him.

That was me I thought that was you Matty. I only realised it was you after you pulled away. Would have had a chat to you if I realised earlier!

Good new tyres will be going on hopefully at the start of next week after I get it registered. Compliance put ten year old rubbish on it. It’s ridiculous that compliance workshops can put such unsafe crap on a car. Still after an air box and snorkel if anyone can lend me one.

My old car had a Boomerang system in it which had a faulty remote. I also wanted to take the non genuine replacement option so I asked around and was told that it can’t be done. Found out that a genuine replacement remote for my system was $300. Unfortunately replacement parts do not come cheap for these alarms.
