  1. Hoping to drop in today to have a look. Will head over to the SAU display and say hey. Never been to Autosalon before.
  2. I can reply to threads again which I couldn’t do yesterday. Wouldn’t be able to tell you about email notifications as of yet as I haven’t had any. The empty topic issue still exists for me which can be seen here.
  3. +1. I have the same issue which is getting fixed at the end of this week. The timing belt was done on my R33 and the timing was set to 10 degrees for some reason. As far as I am aware a manual RB25DET is 15 degrees and an auto RB25DET is 20 degrees.
  4. As of today my plan change takes full effect. Was downloading in uTorrent this morning and was pleased to see that my two active torrents were downloading at 2.5 MB/s. Very pleased Found I had to reboot my cable modem a few times to settle my connection.
  5. ****** 1/8/10 UPDATE ****** Item 7. S2 front fog/indicator lights in silver - SOLD pending payment
  6. Spotted a silver Stagea turning off Finniss St into Hersey Ct, Marion at 5:10pm yesterday. Also at 7pm yesterday spotted a white R32 parked in my street. Today spotted a white R33 waiting at the Diagonal Rd/Sturt Rd intersection around 2:45pm.
  7. I thought they were exactly the same
  8. Still have the S1 front bar for sale however the bonnet has been sold.
  9. Glad I read that Upgraded to the Elite Liberty 50GB cable plan as of today which is now costing only $59.95 rather than $100 for 25GB. Also my speeds have increased from 20Mbps to 35Mbps downstream and 1.1Mbps upstream. Very happy For the price of the plan I was on previously, I could get 200GB of data a month under the new plan structure.
  10. I can confirm that S1 and S2 guards are 100% identical in fit and are interchangeable between both series. Only difference with S2 guards is there is a cut out for ease of access to the coolant expansion tank on the driver’s side guard. I was also told they are different, but it isn’t the case.
  11. ****** 27/7/10 UPDATE ****** Item 14. Two BFGoodrich Gforce sport tires 205/55 ZR16 - SOLD
  12. ****** 26/7/10 UPDATE ****** Item 10. R33 rear bumper - Bar has been stripped back and primed ready to be painted - $100
  13. In the city last night pulled up next to a silver R33 around 8:30pm. Gave a wave and got one back. Sounded nice. Followed a silver 40th anniversary R33 down North East Rd and then onto Ascot Ave around 3:15pm today and then was behind a dark grey 4 door R33 down most of Portrush Rd. At 3:30pm spotted a silver R33 on Fullarton Rd opposite Urrbrae High School.
  14. I’ll take the pair of R33 stock wheels off you. PM sent.
  15. My GF sells her artwork in the Artist Alley every year at AVCon. She does very well and has attracted (as she puts it) “AVCon stalkers” who apparently go just to buy her artwork. Unfortunately I didn’t go this year due to other commitments but would have liked to go She’s planning to head to Manifest next year so I might come along with her.
  16. A mate of mine had his PS3 do the same thing back in May and then a day later his Bravia LCD TV just wouldn’t turn on. He called up Sony Australia and told them straight out he wants a replacement TV and PS3 as both units were less than a year old and it was unacceptable for this to happen (this was said nicely of course ). They agreed straight away with no fuss and a week later a brand new PS3 and TV arrived at no cost to him. If your PS3 isn’t too old I would think you shouldn’t have any issue with getting a replacement.
  17. Spotted a white R33 parked in the St Marys Repco car park around 2:45pm today. Also a red Stagea at the Sturt/South Road intersection waiting to turn onto Shepherds Hill Road about 3pm. Bit later spotted a white R32 heading down Diagonal Road at 3:30pm.
  18. ^ Exactly right. On my other R33 which still has the factory CD/tape head unit, I installed a FM converter box which shifts the FM frequency that allows the stock unit to receive Australian broadcasts but as jrm mentioned the number on the display of the unit will not match up. You can pick up one of these boxes up from Jaycar (link) which I did but I needed a converter to allow the Japanese plug to connect to the box but you can find them easily at any store that sells car audio. If you want you can also order a box with all the connectors built in so it’s simply plug and play from here. I can’t remember the exact model you need, but you can email them and they will tell you. My converter box required a 12V power feed to it but this may not be the same for other similar units.
  19. +2 for checking your plugs/packs and CAS. Had a similar issue with my R33 which was fixed by swapping the CAS.
  20. Speaking of Alienware, I like that they are owned by Dell. Dell tech support just works as in they give you a new replacement computer if you ask hard enough if issues arise. +1 Madaz, I’m with you on that one even though I have an original 60GB PS3 sitting downstairs connected to my Bravia. Use it more as a Blu Ray player and a media streamer than a games console.
  21. Got a rear bar for sale if you want it. Also have a set of S2 fog/indicator lights for the S2 front bar if you need. PM'd you
  22. I’ve used it on plastics (both textured and smooth surfaces) before with excellent results. When I painted smooth plastic, I first scuffed the surface lightly with some sandpaper and then applied the silver ground coat followed by the colour to ensure it would hang on. Apparently you can paint straight over chrome with this stuff.
  23. Duplicolor MetalCast is a great paint. Get hold of the metallic ground coat and the MetalCast Red. Stands up to high temperatures very well. I did my brake callipers in the red and they look really good. The paint provides an anodized finish that is very glossy and sparkles due to the metallic flakes in the ground coat. Take a look at this post which will show you the colour and how it can come out if done correctly.
