  1. You are running the exact same width and offsets as mine at the moment. Lower it by about 30mm and you will sit in nicely. I'm running 275s on the rears lowered and rolled guards. If the OP is wondering, please don't use the sedan's offsets as reference to what suits your coupe. They are completely different.
  2. People have the impression you need to spend $3K+ if you want a set of nice JDM wheels. The markets pretty bad at the moment and there are plenty of bargains to be had. A member here just purchased a very expensive set of Rays wheels in 19s with tires for his V and it cost way under $2K 2nd hand. Do your research and take your time. I do most of my hunting for wheels on forums and ebay. SAU, Boost, Nissansilvia etc... IMHO for under $1K, all you are going to do is make your car look cheap, not to mention finding the right offsets to suit.
  3. Mine came with the intelligent key If you have to ask what it is...then yes its rare
  4. Yea thats it..honestly though I don't miss it that much..
  5. Actually come to think of it...Lakeshore blue sedans...in QLD I have only seen another one or possibly 2 in the same colour as mine..and this is during the 4 years + I have owned one.
  6. ^^^^ Blue headlights...although I have now seen two Vs with this blue tint.....
  7. if u have a portable gps, use that and see how different the two speed readings are...gps vs speedo. That looks very dodgy indeed...
  8. You will probably need spacers at the front to clear the struts..rears are fine.
  9. Look over here with pics. http://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-tires/316385-19-370z-wheels-06-g35-sedan.html You will need to be pretty low, more than usual negative camber, rolled guards and stretched tires...can be done.
  10. hmmm very tempting..will u come n install it for me? As above...what are the expected gains if any? Have you got a photo of it when it was installed?
  11. Anyone has access to a warehouse or storage facility that can accomodate 1 to 2 vehicles?
  12. http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/c792a0c9-92b1-43ee-933b-7bdd8b20842f/pdf_modification_motor_vehicles2.pdf Page 18. its 15 mm and usually works out to be approx 3% variance allowed...not 30%! The rim diameter may be varied from the standard size but the overall diameter of the tyre must not vary by more than +15mm or -26mm. These limits have been set for a number of reasons. Varying the overall diameter of tyres affects ground clearance, centre of gravity, brake effectiveness, steering geometry, performance and speedometer accuracy.
  13. by going 235/45 you have effectively decreased your overall diameter by approx 25mm to factory. In QLD the legal limit is 15mm, not to mention your speedo will also be out and aesthetically, the gap between your guards and wheels will also increase giving you the 4WD look if you are on factory suspension.
  14. yup 235/50 are fine too for front and rear..not too wide at all. If looks are what you are after in a staggered setup, you will probably be quite disappointed because there is not much difference between a 225 and 235.
  15. Are you measuring from centre of the wheel to guard? like so?
  16. Advantages only really noticeable if you are running wider rims on the rears like 9, 9.5 or 10" which will allow you to run anywhere from 265 to 285s. In your case you are better off running a square setup and 245/50 all round or invest in a new tire and wheel package in 18s and try and get them in 9" rears at least. Thats my opinion anyway but you are more than happy to run staggered, i'm just saying don't waste too much rubber on a 7.5" wheel.
  17. Get a tape measure, and measure from center of your wheel to rear wheel guard and tell me what you got in cm or mm
  18. You can't go choosing what profile you want to run just for the heck of it. There is a reason why a 17" wheel runs a 55 profile and an 18" 45 profile etc. its to maintain your overall diameter and ensure's your speedo still maintains accuracy. Use this calculator to work out what you should be using. 215/55/17 is the correct base line OD you can use in the calculator. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp Also, if you are running the factory 17s, no point going stagger widths. These tire profiles you quoted 225/40/17 and 245/40/17 are wrong and definately illegal if you are in QLD.
  19. Hi guys, Below is an expression of interest to try and see if we can gather enough interest to fly Clarence up from Melbourne to do a photoshoot for QLD V's! I myself have had the pleasure of being one of his subjects back in 2009 when Boostcruising flew him up and the results as you can see are pretty amazing and well worth the $$. http://vsp07.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/photo-shoot-by-tangcla.html So here is the deal, to cover his flights and time we would need approx 20 cars to be shot over a weekend. Preferably Fri night/Sat. Cost per car : $75.00 which will include 6-8 digital copies in hi res. Location: TBC - could be a day or night shoot. The person that can offer to accomodate Clarence for the duration of his weekend stay will have his car shot for free. You can view his work here: http://tangcla.com.au These photoshoots will be organised in a way, each car will be allocated a set time, kinda like making an appointment to see your doctor And from memory each shoot should be approx 30mins. Thats about it for now, any questions please ask away and I'm sure Clarence will jump in to answer.
  20. click on my signature below if you want examples of wheels and offsets I have used before. One thing to remember if you are lowered and I assume you are, then there are slightly more options available to you. The lower you go, the smaller the offset you can run on your sedan. Please note, sedan and coupe offsets are completely different so don't even start comparing with coupes. Secondly, The example above from G35 driver is probably one of the many extreme examples (slammed, rolled guards, stretched rubber and excessive camber). I am currently running 8.5 +25 fronts and 9.5 +30 rears mildly lowered approx 30mm on Z suspension. The fronts are perfect while the rears are sticking out the guards by approx 5-10mm due to running 275s. If I lower it a bit more and run 255s it would tuck in nicely. Below chart should assist you. It is assuming you are riding on stock suspension, so if you are lowered you can push the maximums out a bit further towards the guard but more importantly if you are going with wider wheels and the wrong offset, you may also start hitting your struts.
  21. whats the offsets front and rear? should be on the sticker or stamped behind the wheel.
  22. looks like victors car has been sold...shiva, you should buy his wheels
