  4. come on mate, we only attended one show and took home 2 trophies and we still dont have our prize for best engine bay lol Charlie, thanks for the heads up. I got an e-mail from the V8 owners club a while ago shame WSID put a stupid 11.00 cut off on the day as i would love to attend.

  7. if your a mechanic you will have no problems at all doing it. Use a stumpy 14mm ratchet spanner on the top starter motor bolt and some rope to crack it loose, works every time when the box is hanging you should be able to run your hand along the top of the box, from the rear to the front, and undo the bolt with the tips of your fingers. dont stress about the tranfer case hose, some vice grips and a thick rag and clamp it off. To be honest i have never had to bleed one and i have done about 40 0f these clutches. Never had a problem with the 4WD system not working after the clutch was changed. If you have a trans jack it should only take you about 2 hours to change it over.

  17. Item: RB26 Sump extension - Trust Age: Condition: good Price: $300ono To Fit: (What car) anything running an RB26 Location: Sydney Contact: post here, PM or e-mail at [email protected] Comments: up for sale is one used RB26 Trust sump extension. It was fitted to our car but we have upgraded the sump. It has been removed professionally and would easily be able to be refitted. Performance Metalcraft removed it and Leon is certain there will be no probs using it again. Included is the oil pickup, baffle and plate which the baffle is welded to and the Trust sump extension. I will get pics for those may want them.
  18. it says cam cover, but is it only 1 or both.... I assume the spark plug cover is not included and location please
  19. thanks for the pics, did anyone see any of the 6 cylinders on the dyno?? what was top power figure??
  20. anyone see any of the 6 cylinder forced class of horsepower heroes????
  21. to be honest, the R8 does not appeal to me at all.... I drive an RS4 and could not see me forking out the extra $100k+ for the R8. $259k is for car only. They are closer to $300k once on the road. You could probably bargain them down closer to $280 but its alot more than an RS4.... I do admit, it would probably make an awesome track car, but how often do you honestly see anybody who buys an R8 putting it on a track?
  22. i think you will find there is actually something in the road rules that says you need to get to the speed limit as fast and safe as possible.... is it my fault my car gets there faster than his HWP car
  23. why dont you ask the insurance company.... alot of NSW insurance companies dont care whats legal, if its modified they just wont touch it. Best to ask the insurer what they allow as per your policy.
  24. you have no chance!!! The reason Audi ask for your credit card is to actually show them you are going to buy the car, not for the purpose of credit checks. My girlfriends father bought an A4 about 12 months ago and as part of the bargaining they asked for the credit card. It just allows them to see who is serious and who are tyre kickers!!! I dont know why you want to test drive the R8??? it doesnt even get any more power than the RS4, not to mention the extra cost which is astronomical. The chassis is no doubt nicer, but i can assure you that the RS4 has more than enough ability to have fun anywhere you want. And yes, i have driven an RS4 on a regular basis
