Aa was said before, Alan Jones was a person who backed the building of this drag strip, might pay to give him a call and let him know whats going on.... we have had some people visiting our workshop regarding the new development taking place to the left of the dirt road leading up to the go kart centre.... i will ask him who is best to send any correspondance to I was always of the opinion that Jim Read cares of nothing other than Top Fuel.... most disapointing part of it all is that some of us took loads of time out of our lives to fight for this drag strip only to be turned away when we want to use....

you will hear loads of stories on what it will cost, traction problems, weight distribution probs etc etc etc its all BS, you just need to set it up properly. My girlfriends RB26 S14 made 360rwkw and had more traction than when it had the 175rwkw SR20 in it Depending on what level of build you were looking at i would has it at a guess that using stuff like GTR stock radiator and FMIC you would be looking at about $20k. Of course this will change if you plan on running a twin plate clutch etc You could also use the 4WD running gear if you had the cash but that would blow the budget right out of the water unless you just hack it to make it fit

The part numbers are different between RB26 and 34 Neo, so i don't think so but your best to ask some of the other guys with Neo's on here.

The cams are a type B cam which are a 260 degree, 9.15mm lift on both inlet and exhaust. Being a Poncam they are direct replacement cams. They have done about 8000klms and are in perfect condition. The oil in the engine was changed religiously every 3000klms with only Motul oil so these cams are as new. They are located in Sydney and pick up would be preferred. Direct deposit is not a problem as i have access to a courier. Brad

I have asked an engineer this question as i also thought this was the case but he said there is no ADR that requires a car with a manual transmission to have a H pattern or sticker on or near the gear stick only Autos require the markings D etc along the side.

at the end of the day your always going to step on someones toes by canning an event or running an event when the weather is like it was..... i am sure people would have had something to say had the event been run and then cancelled due to a few light showers through out the day.... we should all be greatful that the SAU crew are willing and able to organise events like this for us all to enjoy, even if the weather doesnt make it easy
