or send it off to Mark the Polishing Guy For someone that just wants to give it a go its way to much hard work to get right.... and if i was polishing something, i would be looking at more like 1200 grit sand paper or more if they make it.... the higher the number, the smoother the finish

gtr33r number plates
ido09s replied to wrxhoon's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
dont want to go against forum rules, but these plates cannot be sold unless they are attached to a car..... only the full custom plates can be sold. -
hey all am after a pair of actuators to suit some R34 N1 turbo's. I am after something that is set to about 12psi as the current 6psi actuators wont hold much more than 16psi reliably..... if you can help let me know how much you may be after. Brad

BFG Drag Radials-experiences/thoughts?
ido09s replied to MS-75's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
We have tried it on Bilstein shocks and 2" lowered King springs, no idea of rate though I do feel they are be a little tough.... tried it on brand new standard S15 rear shocks and springs with the Bilsteins in the front and it ended up running the 1.86 finally but it still wasnt squatting and taking off as good as i would like.... next i was going to try some worn out standard S14a shocks and springs and see what that does. Seems everyone with similar power has been running standard suspension with great results..... to be honest no idea of rear alignment angles, it was something i hadnt thought of apart from camber which has been removed with camber arms..... diff cradle is solid mounted. When i say solid, i mean spun alluminium bushes and a standard R32 GTR sway bar and complete R32 GTR rear end. Something you may not be aware of is that this S14 is actually powered by an RB26 making about 360rwkw.... i knew it was going to be a bitch to set up but just need some ideas to try out as i have vnever really run any decent numbers in any car i have owned....... -

Some interesting reading here.... we have some on the back of the S14 and to be honest have been quite disapointed with them We are running 15psi in them and i am already getting a sway up the top end so not really wanting to drop the pressures much more..... what are other peoples experiences with them while running 12-14psi in them..... are they getting much of a sway in the top end??? best 60 footer to date is a 1.89 i think it was...... we are using the 255/50/16 and they are mounted on stock S14a wheels. Do you guys feel it could be the lack of wheel width that is hindering the car running a decent 60 footer?? -
i thought they already allowed pre 86 cars in for dyno comp??? they stuck RDRUNR on the rollers a little while ago, i cant remember if it was for a demo run only though

looks like someone was trying to avoid a defect thats quite funny

dont mean to put a downer on this thread, but has anyone ever stopped and thought what might happen by posting rego's and mods on people's cars..... not every one of the public wants their where abouts, nor the rego and type of wheels/kit plastered all over the net...... i know if i was a thief I would be having a field day with the number of spotted threads about now..... A little bit of thought, and respect for people's privacy, goes a long way.

from what i have heard there are normally scalpers selling media passes out the front... dont know how true it is but its worth a look
-
I could have sworn i read somewhere in Fast Fours mag that the Jamobree wasnt confirmed yet.... i had heard rumours of the cancelations and just put the two together... i know they have also been clamping down really hard on the use of the track so thought it might be true.... obviously not....... I cant wait, i am sure that the track will be primed and ready for racing and i for one cant wait to get out and have another go with hopes of running some better times
-
Are you sure Adrian, i heard Jim Read had politely told Jamboree, Supernats and Drag Combat they were not welcome at WSID any more....... This is going to be awesome I cant wait to get the 260SX out on a properly prepped track :)

Biggest low mounts on stock manifolds????
ido09s replied to JAY-R32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Another option would be to upgrade to Greddy T618Z's rated at 700ps rather than the 600 the T517z's are rated at. They also bolt up to the stock manifold as far as i know. -

as far as i know they dont make clear covers with RB20/25 printed on them.... you are stuck with the RB26 cover..... SXC - if the RB25 and 20 are the same in th front end of the engine then yes, you would fit a clear cover on an RB20
-
There is an adaptor backing plate you can get to fit RB25's they are both available from Advan performance in Sydney.

Danny, i just remembered, i removed the restrictor from that car when Luke had it so unless you know for sure that your mechanic replaced it your not going to find it, cause its not there.....
-
i understand that, but Danny's has had a full engine rebuild in the last few months.... seems his mechanic may have noticed it gone and for running in purposes has replaced it to keep the boost at a minimum.....
-
updated my original post guys... apologise to all as there is no wastegate ACTUATORS.... the waste gates are still on these turbo's.....
-
Danny, if the bloke that put your engine together has replaced the boost restrictor he has done it for a purpose..... i wouldnt go playing with boost unless the builder of your engine has given you the go ahead....
-
turbo's are now off the car ready for pick up from Advan Performance in Silverwater.... also have a Bosch 910 pump if anyone is interested.... $200 ono ready for pick up as well at the same location
