  1. Asahi Tec (Factory Subaru, Suzuki wheels) is an OEM supplier of wheels in Japan. the same as Enkei (Honda) and others. Basically they make the wheels with the agreement that whatever company can buy them and rebadge them. Asahi Tec is a good company. I'm not saying the wheels are bad, just that the are not worth very much.
  2. haha, I replied at the same time as you. sorry
  3. so you were doing 240-250kmh for 10-12 minutes presumably on public roads? okay
  4. It says right on the centercap. SPARCO. Those are really ollllldddd too and not in great shape from what the picture shows.
  5. it say right on that page that they spent 30,000 dollars to do it themselves. So right there is you cost of materials. Do you have 30,000 to throw at an already 30,000 dollar car? well now add 30,000 more because that's probably what it would take to have someone slave over this. I'm done with this thread.
  6. Unless you have a Nismo Z-Tune and have a Japanese registration . They are very strict here. I had to show my registration just to order a starter motor. I know for a fact however that the manufacturers here keep NOS items on hand to fill rare orders. I've seen a set of NSX Type-R wheels from the first gen NA1 brand new in the box. Blew my mind, especially after I saw that they only cost 1 gold bar. Bottom line is that the OP's dream car here will never be built, but I invite him to prove me wrong all day. I'd love to see ANOTHER all carbon R34 GTR. Yes.. already been done to the tune of 100,000s of dollars. Amuse Powerhouse R34 GTR Weighs 1090kg cost them 309,000 dollars to build this car.
  7. -10 degrees camber, done. Seriously. get the same wheels but not in a -100 offset.
  8. rear seat and rear seat safety belts = 31 pound/14.1kg front seats = 34lbs/15.4kg EACH (with rail attached) = 30.8kg door panels = 14lbs/6.35kg Center console = 7.6lbs/3.5kg Stock Floor Mats = 13.0lbs/5.9kg carpet and various plastic moldings = 16.2/7.3kg all sound deadening = 12lbs/5.5kg dash stripped to shell = 3lbs/1.36kg radio and speakers = 7lbs/3.2kg metal plate behind the back seat = 6.4 pounds/2.9kg =81kg and I left you with air conditioning, (which would be another 15kg almost) power windows and locks, and grab handles. So yeah, 100kg is INSIDE the passenger compartment, easy. I got info, son.
  9. you need R34 GTR hood hinges to mount the bonnet. here's a kit with everything East Bear Spec 2 kit GTT to GTR V-Spec look KIT scroll almost all the way down. Good luck.
  10. definitely would be cheaper just to buy the parts than to have someone fabricate all of this. Seems a waste of time since the parts already exist.
  11. Well I dunno, but just to give you an idea. The MSpeed GTR is 1200kg and it looks like this All the exterior panels are Dry Carbon, and their kit runs 50,000 dollars. You can there is absolutely nothing in the car as well. If you want to run a full interior, with windows that roll up and down (guaranteed theirs are lexan) it will never ever happen. They have 8,000 dollar shocks made out of NASA grade lightweight material, and on and on.. Anyway. if a 2.6L than can push 600+ HP all day is too small for you maybe you should get a new Corvette or something with a 7L supercharged LS9 and call it a day.
  12. you can already buy dry carbon versions of almost all of the removable pieces of the car. Why would you need anyone to make it for you? just search online and you;ll find it. the bumpers are the only thing you would have to have made. Like I said, that would be nearly 20,000 dollars in CF and you still wouldn't be near your goal. I would spend 20,000 on a R35 VR38DETT and figure out a way to make it fit.
  13. you will never hit 1300kg with a full interior. Mine's GTR isn't 1300kg. I don't know where you got that information from. anyway, dry carbon doors, hood, boot, and front wings are gonna be over 10,000 USD alone. the bumpers in dry carbon are pretty rare as there isn't much demand for them. I was quoted 4-5000 for the front one alone by Midori Seibi here in Japan. all of those combined might save you 75kg. MIGHT. then if you strip the trunk you could hit over 100kg. If you have to ask how much all of this would cost, it generally means you can't afford it.. Just being real here. Also just as a reference, Mine's sold one of their Demo cars (they had several R34s) a few years ago for about 135,000 Australian Dollars. The only carbon pieces it had were the spoiler, trunk lip, and mirrors. It also started out life as a BNR34 V-Spec N1 of which only 45 were ever produced. Good luck.
  14. the centercaps on my s2000 say honda, but if you take off the wheel and look inside one of the spokes it says 'made by enkei'. Apexi probably contracted those out to a company known for building wheels.
  15. That's a pretty big car show for Athens. haha. Do you live there, or Chattanooga maybe? I'm from Nashville.
  16. Searched around to no avail. Does anyone know if there are really any differences between the two? I understand that the model listed is R34, but I have Bride rails for an S15 that bolted right into the R33, and many other cross pollinated parts from various Nissans. I found one locally for 600USD with the hand controller included and would rather not pass up the deal if it will work for me. Thanks
  17. are you sure it's not oil that leaked out of the block when you took off the old oil filter? check the oil to see if it's still level. If it is you aren't leaking oil .
  18. not even close. they don't even have the same number of spokes.
  19. i might have to try this out just for fun on some of the dash pieces i removed.
  20. 400USD. not mine, UpGarages R32 GTR Wheels I don't know how much it would cost me to ship them, but it would probably be pricey.
  21. You want the BNR32. that's the GTR. wikipedia has ALL of this info on one page so there's no need for anyone to go into detail
  22. here's another picture I forgot to add. I love taking pictures BTW
  23. Thanks mate. These are probably going to be my cruising wheel/tire combo, as it's a terrible set up for the track. probably will opt for the more standard 18"/35 series on the track. here ya go, it's 28 megapixels though. also, completely removed the sound deadening that is cemented to the floor panels. Use a pneumatic chisel and bulldozed it in just over an hour. Screw the fancy dry ice shit. haha, this way cost me free 99. And to celebrate here's a weight update. Weight update... Removed rear seat and rear seat safety belts for 31 pound/14.1kg reduction. Stock Trunk Carpeting - 11.5lbs/5.2kg Stock Floor Mats - 13.0lbs/5.9kg!! Stock Jack/Tire Iron - 4.5lbs/2.05kg Stock Spare Tire - 34.4LBSSSS/15.6kg Nissan Air Purifier, sound deadening behind back seat, car jack - 9 lbs/4.1kg metal plate behind the back seat - 6.4 pounds/2.9kg Stock suspension 57.8lbs/26.3kg and HKS Hipermax 47.0/32.3kg - 10.8lbs/6kg net loss door panels 14lbs/6.35kg carpet and various pieces of plastic 16.2/7.3kg Center console 7.6lbs/3.5kg passenger seat 34lbs/15.4kg (with rail attached) Difference in test pipe/cat 6lbs/2.7kg new seat/rail vs old seat/rail 5lbs/2.3kg dash stripped to shell - 3lbs/1.36kg difference in exhausts 24.2lbs/11kg all sound deadening 12lbs/5.5kg = 242.6 pounds/110.3kgs Stock R33 GT-R 3388lbs/1540kg so I'm at 3145.4lbs/1429.7kgs. Still heavy! Still to come out. Rear windshield wiper assembly, HICAS, switch to CF Driveshaft, stock exaust manis, outlet pipes and downpipes.. to be replaced with SS and titanium respectively, and more!
  24. Pretty sure it's just for newer cars with tire Pressure monitoring. The second valve keeps the system from being tripped and showing a warning light on your dashboard.
  25. It's for TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System. At least that's what it's for on other two stem rims.
