  1. Details: Model Number : 415-X001 Serial : FCC3 010-00806 Working well with new plug but shorter (80cm) cord.
  2. Will check model and serial numbers tonight and post
  3. The above is from my old S15, but compatible with Nissan all PFCs of the same era. Cord is shortened (now approx 1 meter long) and a new plug has been fitted. Otherwise in good working order and no scratches, no fading LCD screen etc As there are a couple of different firmware versions of the Nissan HC, best to check with Apexi first. Can COD for $220.
  4. I have a newer one (bought new from Japan in 2000). Has a shortened lead with a new plug on it. After $200 for it. PM if interested. Gav
  5. Riaz Between the pits guys and the cops you just don't have any luck! Get ya self a bunky for daily duties and go hard core on one of the Nissans for track work or "after hours" cruises when there are minimal cops out!
  6. Diff has developed a whine when cruising at around 70 km/h under no load. Will simply a change to better fluid help - or is this on the way out? BTW - noise developed (not suprisingly) after a fair hemmering at the drags the other night. Suggestions / experience?
  7. Red17 - Correctumundo! The hose has popped off - but from where? Can someone with a GTR have a look where the vacuum/boost hose plugs into the plenum?
  8. The factory boost gauge in my r32 GTR stays on 0. No vacuum at idle/cruise, no boost under load. Needle goes back to bottom of dial when power off, then to 0 when power on or running. I'm guessing that the MAP sensor is either buggered or there is a break in the wire. Where is the sensor located?
  9. Nup - I'm not going to accept that I can teach Jash anything - his VSpec is quite a beast and I'd be shit the first few times I launched it! 110 mph terminal and 1.8sec 60' were for the 12.60 run. BTW Rhino - saw your car in the Sunday Times, good luck - it is a good buy at that price and deserves a good home.
  10. 12.60 was the best I could manage. Great fun on the launches - with the std suspension the front was going everywhere (just like the fottage on the 9 sec GTRs!) Can definately vouch for Ross' 9 puck ceramic clutches now. 7k launches on a prepped track and no detectable slip.
  11. I'll be rolling up at 3:30. Anyone competing feel free to call me on 0409950295 and we'll meet up before. Gav
  12. Brendo Can I try your PFC Commander? It looks like I need a real old version Commander to be compatible with my PFC. BTW - my old Commander of the S15 is for sale. Will cut you a special deal as the cord is shorter now than std (but should be OK with the extension cord). I have also sorted out how to modify the mini din plugs to fit.
  13. For those competing - are you planning to all set up camp at one point? Helps with leaving jerry cans, tools, tyres all together.
  14. Jash ya got any nice coilovers in stock for the R? Gav
  15. BTW - where can I gat the steel gaskets (the special shaped ones that separate the wastegate from the exhaust turbine) from?
  16. Adam whatta bugger - you deserved better karma for the loan of the bits to me. Hope you sort it soon.
  17. The dump pipes were $600 used. I've seen them advertised for cheaper - but like everything it's all timing.
  18. Plan to get the R down for its debut drag session. Pretty stock except for zaust and pods - mebee will have PFC fitted to optimise timing and fuel a little. Good chance to try out the new clutch (one of Ross's 9 puck ceramic jobbies)
  19. I've picked up some HKS dump pipes (the s/steel split adaptors that bolt onto the turbos). Given the amount of work to fit these suckers is there much to be gained fitting onto the std GTR turbos? I've already got an HKS Hiper zaust and will fit the HKS engine pipe at the same time.
  20. I think that you will find it will suit the R33 GTR also. Both the factory and APexi PFC ECUs are interchangable, no reason why the Mines chipped ECU shouldn't also.
  21. Ya showin' ya age now Steve! Don't laugh - I had an EK holden with all that in when I was at Uni:p
  22. After fitting new power transistor last night and regapping plugs, I went for a bit of a fang up my favourite hill near my house (Ewen St in Doubleview). Wouldn't you know it - was pulled over by a cop who was a few hundred meters behind me. As I wasn't (overly) speeding, I wasn't too concerned. He (an older guy on a bike) asked why there were flames comming out of my exhaust?! Before I had a chance to think of an excuse, out he came with it: "it smells a bit rich - is your carby adjusted correctly?" About to add a smart arse comment, but didn't want a detailed inspection of my "Jap spec" Cat, so just answered that I had it serviced today and planned to take it back there again tomorrow as "flames out of the exhaust" are obviously "not good". He then cautioned about 50 km/h in built up streets etc and went on his way. Just lucky on that occasion - a cop who is ignorant, but otherwise pleasant to deal with. PS - might get my dizzy and points checked also:p
  23. Thanks for the info Steve - is that actually you replying on the forum? You're always hanging out of cars on the dyno or jammed into engine bays with broken Datsun motors when I see you! BTW - read your email I sent you - I'm booking Stevie Lee for a day or two next week.
  24. Who can supply/order non-standard NGK plugs? I'm after some platimums that are one range colder than the recommended 6 and pre-gapped at 0.8mm rather than the recommended 1.1mm.
