Nah mine will take at least 6 months we're predicting as customers will always take priority no matter how late they walk in the door through my build So I'm currently in the process of buying a daily for the long haul. Theres 3 engines being built in the engine room atm, all of them RPM 2.8s. I was merlin when I walked in and saw 3 new crankshafts all just sitting there..
Birds hit the nail on the head. Any workshop will build anything you want, but not every workshop will give you the advice you need to make a better decision and end up with a better product.
335kw atm, would like more but this is just a track tune, it's nothing to laugh at, but I'm very used to it and bored already.
Snowy doesn't have a GTR anymore, he's got that Gemballa or whatever now
This makes zero sense Plats.
I can fit 80 litres in the boot of the 33, and a further 50 litres in the foot wells behind the front seats. I can definitely carry enough, it's just trying to work out how much I'll need SAFELY, I'm thinking I'll need about 120 Litres to make it safely.
Is it really that hard to talk to your builder before purchasing the parts? All this fluffing on the internet about how you're gonna buy this first before speaking to your builder is stupid. Telling the builder that you're buying this and this and he recommends that X part should be substituted with Y part and you'll make it 10 times more reliable is worth a 10 minute conversation on the phone, as well as potentially saving your hip pocket. Racepace has built hundreds of engines in the past, they're track record is impeccable when it comes to engines. If you're gonna start building engines against a builders recommendation, you're going to find it hard to claim any sort of warranty if something goes wrong.
You're gonna hate -9s on a 2.6 then! Had some kid try to be hektik in his stock GTST giving those little pulls next to me today at 80kmh. I geared down to 3rd and put the foot down, I basically just coasted away making small amounts of boost, it wasn't very impressive I must admit. That's with -7s as well!
Yeah just did some looking up on that and you're right. Shouldn't be the problem really and I'm pretty sure its BKR6E that we use not BCPR6E. Looks like I'm going to have to just keep throwing parts at it, hard one to diagnose on the dyno as you have to leave it on overnight, check it in the morning on a cold engine and you have to know what sensors SHOULD be doing what at what temperature, and hope that you notice one of them change suddenly and more drastically. Even though all the other ones will change at the same time too.
You might be right, truth be told it was just what came off the top of my head. Now I'm not sure which one. Regardless though whichever one it is its worked on countless cars so it SHOULD be fine in mine, it's the right plug for RB and E85 anyway..
Well I got a second hand one with the car when I bought it so I'm gonna assume he changed it for a new one (coolant temp sensor).
New BKR6E gapped to .08
Splitfire coilpacks
New coilpack loom
AFMs just changed for another set
O2s new
