  1. oookayy... I can't edit my post. That golden ring is bending like a mother f**ker... really, only thing I can think of is unbolting it regardless of the damage to it, and picking up another one from somewhere.
  2. If I'm bored this arvo I might take my shit apart and post back with results.
  3. Or Acers new range which has an i7 processor, dedicated GPU, 4GB RAM and an LED monitor, that can run for 9hrs... Btw, the build quality is actually enough to satisfy me, and I'm a Macfag. You'd be an idiot to run your system on max without AC, the point of docking stations and peripherals is to sit it on a desktop, with power, and do your gaming. Sitting at maccas and playing BC2 is ridiculous. I'm sure your friend is pretty good at making desktop computers, but he's just a little nieve to the new market coming up. With the demographic showing a LOT of focus going into education, and keeping education up to date with technology, we'll be seeing many high-powered notebooks coming out to appeal to the youngens, whilst developed technology is gradually introduced to help these mini-beasts operate a whole day at school. All you have to do is disable the GPU when you're not using it and there's an instant gain in time. SSDs too, those things are amazing.
  4. Why not just get your old account back and use that? Imagine how much bigger your penis would get
  5. We need a forum for posting about our personal rides. Not massive projects, but just every-day-drives we modify for our needs. I have a GTS, I want to keep most stock but I still want to post up about it with photos, and chat about subtle mods etc. But nothing massive.
  6. Would I need to take anything? Eg/ protective clothing etc.
  7. Come off it mate! SAU stickers? That's a bit of a let-down..
  8. P-Platers aren't the worst drivers, you know. The worst drivers I've seen have been in their elderly years, the "EXPERIENCED DRIVERS". I've also had cops ride my ass like a pair of retarded f**ks, and then pulled me over for dropping my speed down by 20kmh just to annoy them. I've seen a cop do an illegal u-turn and sped down a road that constantly has intoxicated people walking home down it, just so he could pull the P-plater with a Skyline over. There was an elderly man in his mid 60s driving a BMW once. He was swerving here, there and everywhere. There was an elderly couple in an Accent driving so slow that they gave drivers the shits and people dangerously overotook them. They caused a massive disruption to traffic. And I personally find that the biggest assholes on the roads are between 26 and 40, or asian, or indian, or both. I'm not being discriminatory there either, that is an honest observation. Asians speed up to block me in. They also refuse to leave room for me to merge when my blinker is on. Indians are in a similar category, but in saying that, there are some great indian drivers I've been compatible with on the road (as in, I haven't raged driving behind them). 25-40 year olds, usually with massive SUVs, like to speed up and prevent you from getting in front of them. They also like to cut you off on a merge, when you're trying to get over before your lane ends and there's a concrete barrier coming up, and they're trying to prevent you from merging. But I agree, we as P-Platers need more instruction, but most importantly we need more realistic instruction. Instead of this "by-the-book" shit that's shoveled down I throat, making us want to be hoons, I got taught the realistic way to drive. You just need to relax when you drive and keep an eye on what other people do. Just.. yeah... I hate my demographic. It's because of a bunch of f**king wankers with no brains that I couldn't buy my beloved GTR now instead of later. I'm going to stop ranting now.. I could go for hours.
  9. I'm jumping the topic here.. but; Only thing that annoys me here is I saw a check point with no signage and a police officer watching for on-coming speeders. He had a radio in-hand and was radioing up to the checkpoint whenever a fast driver approached. They were hidden behind trees on a blunt bend, but they were well covered until you come around a tree and bam, you're caught. I just think they're focusing on the wrong types of drivers. Their anti-speeding campaigns would see much more desirable results if they targeted the dangerous demographic and not the general public. Of couse, I can't determine the dangerous demographic without much thought, and I'm not about to start thinking hard now. Also, there's a simple fix to this. Go do your crazy driving in isolated areas or on a track, and stop doing it in the middle of traffic like a retard.
  10. I own the R33 GTS. I love the car, but there are a couple things you need to be aware of. 65L tank means a full tank could set you back $87.1 (premium @ $1.34), but because you don't fill your tank when it's completely empty, a more realistic price is around $75. A full tank of petrol can last you a week if you baby it, but I've personally budgeted for two refuels a week. As a guide, for the past week I have been driving between 1500RPM and 3000RPM, never really hitting over 3000RPM and the fuel has lasted me a good week. I've gotten 500KM out of a tank once, but I drove out to Penrith and back two times in four days, and the petrol was gone at the end of it. Third party, fire and theft cost me $600-or-so through JustCar, and was a one-off fee I paid for 12 months insurance. If you can afford to pay for the car, then I would love to see another R33 owner (as long as you didn't ruin the car with tasteless mods). But if you're going by your wishlist without taking into account models etc. my friends ford falcon will smoke any stock R33 GTS and it's probably cost him around $6k all up? That's all well and good, but I love my car You could also put $10k into a Hyundai Excel build, and that will give you a 900KG car with an Evo engine in it. Smart cars are also really good. I dare say you would be checked for a turbo, so the 1.3L turbo could be good (not sure on how fast they are though). That's convertible too. I drove an RX7 once, the older one, it had a full leather interior with the security code to start the ignition. Only problem is they are a lot of maintenance (so I hear). You can get nice ones under $10k, and they're really sporty beasts. If you don't care about RWD, there are a few nice Hondas out there, like the prelude. The one with the triangular tail lights are prone to rust and other problems, but i hear the generation after it are quite reliable. They're putting a decent KWage out of it, also. Comparable to the GTS. Iunno, it's your taste mate. I bought the GTS because I love skylines, and it was the best kept one I could find.
  11. Excellent! Just what I think I needed to hear! Thanks mate
  12. I recently found this skyline here. And I went to the bank to get a loan. The girl basically put her pen down when I said I was 17. Do cars like these come up often? If I were in the market in three months, could I expect to find something along the lines of this thing? This is my first post to; so hello Skylines Australia :] I read the article in Imports, there are some nice Skylines on this board.
