Hey guys and girls, Just wanting opinions on some of the brands out there of suspension setups that you have used/experienced. Everyone is talking about the lower priced teins and the entry level mono tube teins, but i want to know what other brands options, etc are out there and what your experience has been and what you were trying to/have set the car up for. I'm looking at setting up my car and wondering what people find works in certain areas, and also what doesn't in others. I have heard of alot of brands, such as buddy club, tein, hks, bilstein, and numerous others, but never am able to find out what these brands compare like and what they have to offer over there rivals. I would also like to know what the ride, handling, spring rates, etc are that you are using with these brands. Pretty much any info you can tell me and others looking to upgrade there suspension and handling on thier skylines. My car will be used as a bit of a all rounder. Doing anything from drag, circuit, mountain runs and a little basic cruising. I know I will never have the best of all these worlds at the same time, but want to make it the best I possibly can. The car will have a fair bit of chassis bracing from http://www.ultraracingaustralia.com/ and a few other pieces which should make the car a lot more predictable when driving hard. I've never been one to always follow the crowd (not saying that its a bad thing to do sometimes), but rather try some other things and see what differences can be made. I understand that there is no reason for reinventing the wheel, but just want to know what all the options are. Thanks Matt P.s. Why has there never been a sticky thread made like this for everyone trying to set up there specific skyline, ect? Also sorry for the long post

Street/track Suspension Setup For R32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to Chris32R's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
Maybe try some suspension bracing. Alot of people don't try this but i have heard some good things about it. Won't affect ride but when you push the car in corners, etc will be way more stable and easier to handle from what i gather. Looking at trying soon myself -
Black 320kph Speedo Or Similar For 32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to 32vspec2gtr's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
Thanks mate. Been looking for ages, but for some reason didn't think of ebay. Will have a look -
Hey I currently looking for a 320kph speedo for my 32gtr. I want to keep it looking as factory as possible as I don't want to make the car stand out insanely and this would fit in better than the white gauges that seem to be everywhere. Does anyone know where i can get one of these from? Tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything. Thanks Matt

After Turbo Install On 32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to kx2fity's topic in Forced Induction Performance
In relation to this... Did you clean your intercooler when you replaced the turbos? If not there maybe oil in the intercooler and when it comes onto boost it pushes it through intercooler and to the intake plenum. When you shut the engine down the oil will sit at the bottom of the plenum and then when started, suck it straight into the cylinder and burn it. Also overfilling an engine is not a good practise as it acutually glazes the bores and does other damage. It would be worth while maybe looking to some rocker cover baffles. These can be had for around 300 if i remember right and if you save a litre of oil every time you drive it then they pay themselves off very quickly if your using full synthetic with out the engine issues. For the original problem. If the fuel is old it also won't burn properly and also is likely to foul plugs, etc. Because the fuel is not burnt properly will come out when the engine is hot as a white smoke. Or as a mist when the engine is started cold. The turbos may have a bit of oil on them also so give them a quick degrease and rinse off and take it for a spin and get the car hot. Then check your work. if there are no obvious leaks and the smoke has cleared up then should be all good. hope this helps Matt -
R32 Gtst Wrecking Whole Car
32vspec2gtr replied to wAAA`'s topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
He said it could be registered in the original post mate. Would make a good project for a drift car.... if only i had the money i would buy it! good luck with the sale -
Yeah but at least your only going to take yourself out in the worst case and besides you don't have a big ol power pole sitting there smilling at you when you loop it and suddenly find yourself sling shotting across the road lol Oh and by the way they can get you for driving a car in a way to create excessive noise. Trust we got done in a mates impala in the city when we punched it off the lights. its like a 300 fine

Hey beck and brandon or anyone else in the know, just a quick question about harry's. I ended up with the NPC twin 1000hp. Seemed the goods and means i can build the car around it without having to replace the clutch when power levels rise . And I also got a few other goodies to throw in it to help tunablity and driveablity mainly at the moment. Didn't get the ecu installed yet buy Hopefully get that in the next month or so.

Ha ha yeah well just trying not to upset everyone Yeah probably will show up to chapel hill if i get my car back by then. Thanks for your help anyway might bring a mate in his rb powered silvia. Would love to go for a bit more of a cruise to see what the new clutch and all is like so thats why i was thinking of heading to harry's to check it out

Wiping drool off face... So nice. Love the sound as it lauches and looks tough as. Hope one day to have a 9sec street gtr!!!! Working on it slowly as we all are ha ha. Is the headlight duct legal? I wasn't sure but seen it on a fair few high horse power gtrs now that are on the street. Good luck with the car mate. Very impressive.

Cam Question And Dump Pipes For R32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to gtr_scottie's topic in Forced Induction Performance
The engine you are using maybe a later model of gtr engine. The 32 dump pipes are know for been restrictive and therefore restricting the boost response, etc. I found with my gtr that the difference with the dumps is very good compared to a mates who only has a 3' exhaust from the front pipes back due to not wanting to remove the turbos. My exhaust runs cooler and also creates a couple of pound more boost. This is only from what i have seen. The Gtss turbos are also designed for response rather than outright power so do not need as much to make them spool up. The ball bearings also help this. So really it depends on the size of turbo in which he is going to be installing. This is just what i have seen in my experience. Not saying that you are wrong but yeah, very interesting to know that they didn't do too much for your set up -
Wastegate Actuator Problems
32vspec2gtr replied to ascenion24's topic in Forced Induction Performance
If you want to run the higher boost, try gapping your plugs closer together. The standard coils can't deliver enough spark when there is higher boost so blows out the spark. If you reduce it to 8 mill gap if i remember correctly this should give you enough to run the higher boost. Not the problem but hey -
Cam Question And Dump Pipes For R32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to gtr_scottie's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Ha ha yeah i know what thats like!!! I'm a diesel fitter by trade and i work with a mate at the drags on a 6 sec turbo 350 altered, but is totally different to this engine so hard to compare lol With the cam gears, big cams aren't as important as on a NA car as the pressure fills the cylinder more as compared to just the suction of the engine, so unless your hunting for big power, and i mean big there really isn't much point. Its more the cylinder overlap that is important as you want to trap the boost rather than blowing it all out the exhaust. Thats my understanding in it anyway. Could be wrong. So yeah, if your going to do the cams you should look at probably going something fairly meaty and upgrading the springs, etc and doing some head work to get the most out of them. The dumps can be used to make 300kws yes, but by upgrading these you will get better spool time and therefore better driveablity and makes it easier to get to the horsepower, etc. Also your turbos, etc will run cooler thanks to being able to breather better Cheers -
Cam Question And Dump Pipes For R32 Gtr
32vspec2gtr replied to gtr_scottie's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Hey mate, In regards to the stock dump pipes in my opinion i would be waiting till i got the new turbos before worrying about them as they are a turbo out job anyway. So this money can be save and put towards more power . As for the cams i would be doing the turbos before the cams as the N1s are still only good for mid range power where as you have the set up and ablity to run much more boost. With more psi this would far out weigh the cams in terms of performance. Depending on what turbos you are running you can get some good power out of your engine while still having good street drivablity. With the cams, if a set of after market cam gears haven't been fitted i would suggest you do this, or do the cams and gears as a package. (have a look on Nengun Co. for good prices. Found they're the best so far.) This also tells you what you need to do inorder to run the cams you wish to run. Just remember the bigger the cams, the higher up in the rpm they will work more effectively and gain more power but loose some bottom end. Hope this helps you mate. Any questions fell free to contact me Matt P.s, this is only my opinion and is not gospel, just what i have found in terms of my car. There are alot more experienced people out there but i hope i have helped. also, swiper the fox = god to me ha ha helped me out heaps, Thanks again Paul -
Thanks mate. Pretty sure this is going to be the ecu i'm going to use. Should be good to finally have it in and see what it can do hopefully have the car in next week
