  1. Getting the timing belt done with adjustable cam gears as well as a n1 water pump, harmonic balancer, crank and cam seals. The clutch is been replaced with probably a twin plate at this stage to handle the up and coming upgrades, probably with a lightened flywheel. Also doing split fire coil packs, maybe hks twin power system and installing a vipec ecu all before it gets dyno tuned. So should be good for approx 300 at all four wheels. From there I will have to look at upgrading the fuel pumps and turbos all before the intercooler is changed out as everything is stock
  2. Sweet well looks like I'll have to hurry up and get the gtr into the shop and get the goodies on it then head straight to chappel hill on thursday night. Hope to see you guys there sometime soon when my cars back
  3. Hey guys, I recently bought a 32 gtr v spec 2 and was hoping to meet up with some more like minded skyline drives and find out about some good cruise places around brissy. Anyway if you know of any good places or wanna go for a cruise sometime, pm me. Been a while since i've been in the performance game because of my apprenticeship and really wanna get back into it!!!! Cheers Matt
  4. Thanks again Danski. As for Bunta, I recently was quoted around the 2500 mark but can't really remember the actual amount. This was through Mark at godzilla motorsports and was fully installed and tuned on thier dyno. However I have led to believe that the best people to do this now adays is Murcury Motorsport and this is where I will most probably be taking my gtr. If you want more info on why pm me. Cheers Matt
  5. When you leave 5 minutes early just to do a check over of your skyline and allow her to warm up. When you fly to Sydney with only seeing photos of the car and details of what the owner has told you and your at his place all of 5 minutes before driving the car back to Brisbane lol When you hear an exaust and look around to find out what sort of car it is only to find a lancer, etc next to you and think to yourself, dam thought i might have had some competition "You know you drive a Skyline when you read this thread and laugh cause 99% of the posts you can relate to." Loved this one lol so true
  6. I currently own a 32 Gtr V-Spec II in a late 93 platform. One of only 1300 or so made from memory so some what rare At the moment its pretty standard with only minor mods such as turbo back exhaust, alarm, rims, turbo timer, hicas lock out and thats about it from memory. Next week but that will be a bit different ha ha still too long away lol for pictures just click on my profile got a few on there cheers
  7. Love the way your car sits Danski! looks sweet on the rims. So i take it that power figure was with the bigger single and the fuel and intake mods. Looks like you got a good package going and is only going to get better! I'm going to try and keep the twin setup to maximise boost response but at yours at 3800rpm at full boost is pretty impressive Cheers for your time
  8. SOOOOOO NICE!!!! Hopefully if all goes to plan my skyline will end up like this someday. Would love to do it with twins but and maybe look more at the 9sec bracket. hmmmm may have to start looking for that higher paying job and stop with this roster crap so i can get some overtime and start working those 80hr weeks that i use to lol But hey nice car mate and looking forward to seeing you out at the drags. hope your still going to be there for winters! I'll be there crewing for Ash Hamblin. if i see you i might come and chat to you. Good luck with the build mate. looks good so far
  9. Thanks Xrated been looking for that sort of info for ages lol. what about if you put a gear set in a getrag box? would it be better for acceleration, fuel ecconomy and top speed? want something that is going to be tough but hopefully still a little street friendly. Not exactly the easiest thing to do but i had a mate with a dog box in a 33 gts type m making 850hp at the wheels but was still ok to drive on the street. It was a six speed. Would ask him but i no longer have contact so regreting not asking sooner lol Cheers
  10. Cheers for the info Danski. By the way what sort of mods are you running to get to the 370hp on 15psi if you don't mind me asking that is? Thanks again Matt
  11. Has anyone done the conversion of the 6 speed? Would love to hear the benifits of this conversion as to say a upgraded gear set/ dog box. Wouldn't the extra gear mean a close ratio gear set is more than likely while still maintaining daily driving and better acceleration?
  12. Yeah i could see that the price would be a fair bit more. I only thought there were the 2 systems and that only one worked on the skyline. but now i know better. Thanks again Greg, you've been a great help mate. Matt
  13. Thanks Darren, I didn't even know there were more types of units. I've only heard of the v44 and v88. Think I'll have to have a good chat to Mark when I take the car in. At the moment its pretty stock and got a few goodies to go on at the same time. But in saying that I'm hoping to rebuild the engine with bigger turbos and try to run at least 10's as well as keep it a street car for the weekends of fun . Cheers Matt
  14. Thanks again Greg. I had another look on the net and found a random forum talking about the vipec v88 and it apparently has 8 output ignition drives. Wouldn't this mean that it should be able to run the 6 coilpacks? The boost setup and ablity to run different levels of boosts in different gears would be good for lauching, especially with the lauch control as well. The Duel fuel map would come in handy as well. Still don't know much about the twin power systems but. Might try to research these some more thanks for your help
  15. By the way would wasted spark be a bad thing? I mean the voltage needed to jump the plug gap is higher and so would end up having a better spark in theory, meaning a better burn and more power.
  16. Thanks Greg for the pm. So if you have to use the wasted spark setup does that mean that you need a new coil pack harness? In this case could i switch to a hks twin power unit and run it off that maybe? don't know much the twin power and how its setup either. if anyone knows please help. Cheers By the way can't pm yet, not enough posts apparently
  17. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the vipec ecu's and how well they preform. I'm looking at installing one in my 32 gtr vspec 2 and mark from godzilla motorsport suggested it, so i'm going with him on that as it about the only thing i don't have some idea about. but i would love to hear from someone whos got one install or has some info on them. Thanks guys and girls
  18. Hey, My names Matt. I've been the forums for a while but haven't owned a skyline for like 3 years cus of my gay apprenticeship making me sell my 32 gtst. But now the hard yards payed off and I bought myself my dream car, a 1993 V-Spec II 32 GTR with only an exhaust fitted from the turbos back. Since then I have uped the boost and fixed a miss fire at full boost due to a bad spark plug earth and too big of gaps. with the upped boost and preforming right, managed to slip the clutch so thats getting done as well as cam gears, cam belt, harmonic balancer, water pump, vipec ecu and split fire coil packs been dropped in as soon as they arrive by Mark at Godzilla motorsports and then its dyno time. not sure what it'll put out but hoping for 300hp at all fours with the lightened flywheel. Its gun metal gray and pretty much gets around everywhere lol I'll post some pics shortly and if you see me around or know of any good events in the brissy/sunnycoast or the goldie let me know. also any good meet spots around to meet new people and have a chat. Cheers Also anyone who knows anything about the vipec can you let me know. would love to learn more about it
