  1. A few cars later slip bettered my time by some 7 seconds...
  2. Yeah it was an awesome day, well done Paul on organising it all for us...
  3. I want in! Send me the details and I'll transfer the money straight away.
  4. I purchased the turbo second hand from another customer where I get work done on my car sometimes, apparently this guy ran it on his car with standard ecu for a while before getting pfc aswell, so it thought bugger it, i have the turbo, may aswell put it on. I put it on myself in the garage while i was installing my fmic. I had heard of the standard ecu power dip but never experienced it, so yes i didn't expect the ecu to handle it too well. In a way that's good though, at least I know the turbo is flowing more air at the same boost pressure than the old one. I was just a bit worried that something wasn't right (esp because I put it on myself), but all seems well, just need the pfc.
  5. Hi all, I have just installed a high flowed standard turbo and hybrid super monster i/c to my '94 car, standard computer (had the opportunity to get the turbo now so thought I may aswell put it on, plan to get pfc soon). When i test drive the car at my normal 0.85 bar (avc-r) it pulled well to 4-5 grand then dropped a bit before pulling real hard from 6ish grand to redline. Turning the boost down to 0.75 bar helped, and at 0.7 bar it's barely noticeable, suffice to say this never happened with the standard turbo. I already have a bigger fuel pump and adjustable regulator. Is this the infamous r33 standard computer power dip? Is so, sh*t it's severe! Thanks in advance....
  6. Yeah i'm stoked with the caliper painting - the difference it makes to the overall look of the car is noticable, spectrix did a really good job too, spent heaps of time on it. He talks a bit though...
  7. I'm gunna buy a uhf(?) radio soon, so i think i may get it on thurs so i'll have it thurs night, anything special i need to know before i buy, and where should i get it?
  8. where do you live charly? there must be two white 33's in the area Caliper painting ey? I will have to come down and say hello....
  9. Wayne Carey - playing for adelaide last i heard, that silvia got crashed the other night, sideways into a gutter.
  10. Hey Spectrix, I'm the guy in your street (same street as adelaide's most suss afl star), near the top up the hill, white car, dark tint, silver 17s, you always have the wheels off your car and other rexs, what the hell are you always doing? Didn't know that thing was an STI, cool. S13 drift machine is just a mate, he loves getting sideways, seen the supra come up too? It's pretty nice aswell. I'll have to stop and say g'day some time.
  11. White S1 playing with me and rex on western free way sun night here?
  12. You think milk is bad - check this, About a month ago I was driving my gf home after the work xmas party - she had also been out to lunch the same day and evidently eaten some dodgy food. Driving along, me: you OK? Yeah, my stomach just feels a bit funny. Not the driving is it? No, no it's alright. okay (me looking across nervously), do you want me to stop? No, it's okay .... .... 10 seconds pass .... Her: pull over, pull over! I pull over, just stopped..... Her with hands over her mouth, bleurgh................... Vomit cupped in her hands, hands not big enough, down her front and pooling on the seat. F*ckin gross. Got her home, straight in with paper towels, rags, pinocleen, then the next day I cleaned it with one of those little personal steam cleaners and upholstery cleaner. Then sprayed the crap out of it with that orange meguiars stuff. All good now - no stink. So I think you should throw everything at it, steam cleaner was from crazy clarks for $30. I didn't break up with her - probably should have though, didn't even get sh*tty with her at the time, just got in trouble for laughing!
  13. I drove past Harry's last night - that place is out of control - I couldn't believe how many cars and people there were - hundreds! People even sitting on the footpath just looking at all the cars! Crazy
  14. Ha ha, on a crazy tangent - isn't the internet awesome for this sort of stuff. So much information but it's so hard to sort through the crap to find decent info - I know I have trouble sometimes, I can't believe I turned into one of those sprouting inaccurate information. Your'e right skylinegeoff - I was just being a bit defensive. Yeah I wouldn't treat that site like it's the bible either - obviously I was misled by it.

  16. Ah, found it... http://www.importforums.com/information.htm This was the info I was going on in my assumption of the bluebird being slightly faster than skyline, 0-100 atleast (by a whopping 0.06 seconds!) Admittedly Skylinegeoff your knowledge is very good, but in you're "battle of wit's against those unarmed", is knowledge/remembering things witty or just, knowledge? Not wit by the definition I know gunslinger, but I have been known to propagate misinformed sh!t - just see above!
  17. sorry r34gtt-r, i was led to believe they were front then back - but you should know seeing as you have one. skyline geoff even though i own a skyline i would still back the stock bird against stock line - i remember seeing the standard 0-100 figures on an importer's web site and one of the reasons i wanted a bluebird was because it's quick, quicker than a skyline even
  18. hey when i was looking for a new car i wanted a jap bluebird, but they cannot be imported under raws, whiteline do a suspension kit and you can do all the usual sr20 mods, apparently they have a pretty weak gearbox though. Pretty cool car, beat skylines without too much fuss. They have attesa but they are front wheel drive til traction lost then rears come in - not as much fun as rwd skyline.
  19. haha, looks like a piano or black and white minstril or something! Seriously though, i'd get rid of it and do something like a gunmetal grey like you said or satin black. I reckon if you are gonna go 'rice' then do it with silver/chrome. Each to their own though..... I'm gonna get mine done soon too, two pack? And what did it cost if you don't mind me asking?
  20. Thanks for that rs73 - shown some good knowledge there. I was beginning to think I had a dud r33, type m type s and all that. I thought the type s was the non turbo aswell, and i was thinking... but i've got a turbo.. what the hell's going on here
