  8. Hi guys Below are pics of the latest incarnation of the Blitz ER34 D1 SPL drift sedan. Well engine bay shots...... What are you thoughts on this particular setup ? Its a Blitz K5-700R (they went one size up this time) on a custom high mount manifold and E56 wastegate. I personally think that there would be way too much heat generated by the turbo and the return pipe is too close to it. Even with all the insulation dont think it will help much...... It seems they ditched the previous RB26 front facing manifold ie this one I would imagine that a company such as Blitz and nomukens own company URAS would have enough money and resources to get the best possible parts to acheive the best results.....But I cant for the life of me see how having the return pipe so close to the turbo could be "better" than the previous setup with the forward facing plenum. This is not another thread to start the argument of standard plenum vs forward facing.....just want peoples opinions on this setup and possible answer some of my "issues" I have with it as stated above. Close up PS Can someone tell me how to modify the topic heading ? I noticed I made a typo...should be YOUR instead YOU.
  9. still for sale ? If it is consider it sold and if your in sydney ill come pick it up and cash on the spot.

  14. hmm to sorta get back on track with the topic heading.. Just curious but with the added "benefits" of the NEO head... when would a T04Z come on boost ? 5000rpm? more ? less?
  15. awesome...thanks for that nismoid now how about my sump question ?
  16. oh and also.....seems like most of you guys are doing the conversion yourselves or from the help of friends. But if I were to pay a workshop to do it...you reckon $2000-$3000 would be enough for labour ?
  17. ouch thats gotta hurt
  18. Thanks for that Driver.... Like I said before I have heard that the wiring is a nightmare but is there any sort of wiring diagram available or is it all just guess work ? and hehe I dont plan to make it a 4WD....I dont need a computer to help me drive.....hhaha well thats my excuse until I can afford an R34 GTR. also about the sump....if it needs to be chopped...is that alright for the RB26 motors ?? I heard they need good oil supply especially out on the track and people actually put extended sumps on them... or am I missing something here ?
  19. haha its actually kinda scarey when a moderator says that !!
  20. Cool thanks for that nismoid.... but one thing I would like to know is.....is it possible to do this conversion with in a few months ? Almost all people I have heard of doing an RB26 conversion have taken a year or longer....I cant afford to have my car off the road for so long. Also I have not seen anyone make any remarks about the weight balance aspects of this conversion and how it affects the car out on the circuit.
  21. Yeah thats the turbo Ive had my eye on for awhile....but im now weighing up the costs on getting the R version and getting a manifold and wastegate to suit.
  22. Thanks adam...I wasnt aware that Driver was doing the conversion. R31. Just with the general trend of things I just thought there would have been a lot of differences between the 33 and 34 to justify a new thread. This has been the case with most parts I tried to get for my car.
  23. Ok ive been thinking about this conversion for a little while and would like some input/info on what exactly is needed and what needs to be modified to make it fit ? Some of the questions I have are. 1. Can I use an PFC from a GTR ? 2. If yes for 1. then will it be pretty much plug and play or would there be a lot of mucking around with wiring looms etc ? 3. Heard that the sump needs to be modified to make the engine fit is this true ? 4. IS the RB26 heavier than the RB25 ? Was told by one person that because of the extra weight it will stuff up the balance of the car. Said it will be quick in a straight line but no good on a circuit.. 5. What needs to be moved or relocated...im guess the battery may need to be relocated to the boot. Thats all I can think of for now...... thanks in advance.
  24. Pics to [email protected] Mines a modified fujitusbo one but its too quite and too many welds... What exactly was modified to make it fit ? did any of the original piping needed to be cut ?
  25. I was lead to beleive its 0.6 or 0.7 ? I turn it up to 0.9 when I feel like giving it a hit... R31Nismoid: AFAIK nismo dont have 550cc for 34s. I think next step up will be 740cc which is a little bit overkill.
