Kel Can you give me a "rough" estimate on when the cruise will be over and without giving away locations how far from sydney will we end up ? Just curious cause I have an exam the following tuesday and dont wanna stay out too late.

the R34s use the opposite to R33s in the clutch department so you may need to do some mods to make it fit. ie if the R33 is push type the R34 is pull type.... Its been awhile since I changed clutch but I THINK its pull type for the R34....

Like I said in my previous post my cooler is 100mm thick and I only needed to trim the front bar....albeit a HUGE chunk of it...but it still fit. :lol:

Ok this may seem like the most fundamental of things to the pros but ive always wondered why people go a lower profile on the rears when the rears are wider than the front ? ie 235/40/R18 front and 265/35/R18 rears. why is it that you go to a 35 profile ? I mean the width doesnt affect the diameter.....so just wondering why this is done ? Also can mismatched sizes have an affect on the handling of the car or perhaps trick the hicas or tcs systems ? I used to have the above mentioned sizes on 8.5inch wide fron and 9.5inch rears. On my last tyre change I decided to get 275s on the rears and keep the same size at the front and for some reason the it doesnt handle as well. It COULD be that something else happened at the same time as the tyre change that affects the handling but im yet to find what the problem is so hence im posting this here to find out if tyre sizing effects handling.

Actually I reckon that might be overkill and effect the handling unless you change the fronts accordingly. I was running 235/40/R18s front and 265/35/R18 rear but on my last tyre change I decided to go to 275s at the back and for some reason which I cant quite figure out the handling isnt as good. This is on 9.5inch rim.

mods have dinner ????? gamatron....just for the record I think you wont be able to insure an S15 either. Its the TURBO factor that is making it un-insurable for you...not the import factor. Since non turbo s15s arent available in oz you may as well get a NA skyline.

hahaha looks like everyone saw that 34... GTRPWR...white R34 M spec outside my mechanics workshop. it had a spoiler though.......and sounded like an animal.

I currently have a custom 600x300x100 cooler (using a PWR core) and had no problems with fitting. Even used the factory holes for the piping. As for cooler choice....if your looking at changing the plenum in future id say go for the HKS out of the two. The blitz one from memory has a bend on the drivers side end tank so it would be very difficult to modify the piping to suit an aftermarket forward feed plenum. On the subject of plenums though..good luck with the neo engine. Ive been looking for quite some time now for a suitable bolt on type plenum and there is not much out there.

haha Scathing you beat me to it... Seconded for Josh at Pro Concept..... EVERYTHING mechanical I wont let anyone else touch my car. tuning is done by hitman and fabrication work by maroun at Race Solutions. So besides tuning and fabrication..everything else like installation and engine work and even suspension work is done by Josh. Cleanest workshop you will ever see. IMHO one of the best nissan mechanics around.

Noticed in the first post you said the rods are same as GTR rods ?? Is the design just the same or the material as well ? Heard that its a popular upgrade in japan to change to GTR crank and rods in high power RB25s.....so I guess in the neo I just need to change to a GTR crank if I choose to go down that path ? Also, whats the difference between the normal Poncams and the Type B ? Never heard of the Type B before...are they still a bolt on style cam ? or are they like the Procams for the rb26 where some modification is needed to fit them ? PS get a TO4Z..... :lol: haha im obsessed with that turbo....it just rolls off the tongue...

Reading this is really tempting me......this was the turbo I had planned to get orginally. But after hearing a few cars I was determined to get a larger turbo with a screamer pipe......god I love that sound.

Unfortunetly ive already committed to going to the christmas cruise......been looking forward to it. Havent cruised with the Sau people for awhile. If it wasnt the same day then id definetly be up for it....afterall its for a very good cause. All the best for the cruise and the future. haha that first prize will come in handy for me.......my car is chipped and scratched like nothing else.

hahha yeah...the car was actually tied to the tree cause we were trying to straighten out the chassis after some "drift damage" the previous day... EDIT Duncan the file doesnt work....
