  5. Its a series 2 with a series 1 grill. My car came like this when it was imported (Probably had a knock at the front =[ ) 97 model. For the exhaust I have no idea, mine just says Nissan and is dual tip =) As far as I know is series 3 only came in GTR's as you said.
  6. This is how I put mine back in. I actually tried both of the options you provided and and had no difference.

  11. Hey guys have a question for my exhaust i'm looking into. Looking to get a catback system, cat, dump pipe (JJR stainless steel dump from Just jap) seperately. Anyone heard of the brand VENOM before? My mate recommended the brand but he drives an XR5 lol. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Nissan-VENOM-High-Flow-Cat-Skyline-R32-R33-R34-GTR-S13-Z32-300ZX-C33-A31-/260953990635?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc211e5eb#ht_3586wt_940 Any recommendations for cats / dump pipes would be awesome guys! Cheers Colin

  13. Already have a spare sitting here, hopefully that one works with no issues. Just gave daniel a ring and got some good info, will drop the car off soon!
  14. My ac compressor is on its way out and I just got it gassed =(. Wonder if Daniel can help me replace the compressor + regas it. Such a pain that i have to get it gassed twice within 2 months =(
  15. Black 33 with SAU sticker on the front windscreen on Windsor Road and turning into the Moore Stephens building! Same building that I work in!
  16. When I took off my shims, the silver ones only covered about 75% of my black metal ones =S This is off a stock r33 gtst. Here is a pic
  17. Won't let me edit above post =( Tried bedding in the brakes. First one or two stops where ok, but from there on the brakes where screaming when i did 80-10. Drove around for about 5 mins after i bedded them in to cool down. On the way home seemed pretty good with light braking. Anyone know if they will stay quiet and only scream when they are very hot? Cheers Colin
  18. Took apart everything, couldn't find any copper grease anyway and autobahn gave me some Bendix lubricant satchets and smashed it on and between the backing plates i have (still have the plastic adhesive on) BRAKES ARE QUIET! I sanded down my brakes a bit, do i need to bed them in again?
  19. Thanks mate, will take them apart tonight and take out the 2 OEM metal shims and sand back my pads a bit. Hope this eliminates my squeek. =D
  20. Just rung GSLRallysports where I bought the pads / shims. He recommended I just stick the adhesive on the back of my brake pads and remove the 2 metal backing plates / shims (not sure what they are called but they are the OEM ones that are in the picture above). Does this sound right? My pistons will be pressing directly onto the adhesive which is cardboard thin onto the pads. I guess there's nothing to lose in trying? Should still be able to stop since the piston is pushing in Would like to get some advice from you guys before i play with my brakes.... Cheers Colin
  21. Still getting used to the car, first manual car i've driven! Maybe in a years time when I know everything is running fine. Back to the brakes. Is it essential to have my adhesive shim + the 2 metal backing plates on? Would removing the half backing plate (the one on the bottom right in the image) help with reducing noise, since its just plastic on one piece of metal? Note: The image was taken just before i put the adhesive shim on.
  22. Just to clarify things in my mind.... I stuck on the shim i bought to the back of the pad, then put the 2 metal backing plates ontop of them. So i have pad - plastic stickon shim - full metal plate - half metal plate and the side clip that clips everything together Sort of doubting if i need double metal plates. I go pretty easy on my brakes no heavy braking or anything... Thinking of taking them out, giving them a good rub / sand... put them back in and give them a goooood bed in session, but its very hard to find anywhere to do it lol. Ruxis - Won't be taking my stock skyline to the track ! hahaha 75coupe - Keep me posted how those shims work, i bought the HPX only because i heard they where quiet + no dust =( Cheers Colin
  23. I'll be there
  24. I've done a run up Maq pass already and have driven more than 1000 + kms on them. Also tried bedding them in 100-10 about 6 times one night... That was before i put the shims in. Should I repeat this process? I wasn't sure if i had to bed them in only when they where new. Cheers Colin
  25. has this gone to ebay or are you going to strip it? Interested in parts if you do!
