  1. I was flicking through an old issue of Zoom Magazine yesterday and I came across an article on Airflow meters. This particular mod described was for the R32 GTS-T. My question is, will it work on the R33 as well? Or has anyone had any success with it? OR even tried it? This is it: The calibration of the airflow meter can be changed by altering it's internal flow volume. Anything you do to the meter to make it flow more air will lean the air/fuel mixtures and add more ignition timing, while restricting the airflow meter will add fuel and retard timing. In the case of most Nissans that run overly rich in standard form, a simple and effective modification is to flick the wire mesh screens out from the meter with a screwdriver. The resulting change in flow area (the wire reduces the flow capability of the meter by at least 5%) adds a couple of degrees more timing and will lean the full load mistures by about half a ratio. Thats good for 3kW - 4kW at the rear wheels of a stock R32 GTSt.
  2. Whoa, some of you guys are paying a hell of alot. I know it's no fault of your own, but I'm 21 rating 3 and I payed $1676 through Just Cars for a 95 R33 GTST. I must be in a good suburb or something?
  3. Yeah, I had a chick take her skirt off in front of me when I pulled up in my black 33. She goes, "can I have a ride in your car?" then flash! I was speechless for a second, but then she got sidetracked by something, so maybe next time. lol
  4. I had mine up around 13psi for a while. Nothing broke but it did develop a few flat spots. So I took it back down to 10.5. Runs fine.
  5. Looks alright, not the colour I would've picked. But still nothing wrong with that. I was thinking about getting those parts done in my 33, since they're starting to look a little worse for wear. Might go for a dark blue or something.
  6. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that particular car holds the world record for highest speed attained on a public road.
  7. I heard the Turbo from the Ford XR6 will bolt straight up to an RB25. Does anyone know if this is true?
  8. Well said, however I think the people they're refering to here are the kind who put a monster tacho in a stock VN V6 or similar sh!tebox. I've got a mate with a dead stock VN executive he bought from his mum, he's got a set of crappy 14 inch mags and yep, a monster shift light tacho. I always give him crap about it. Not only is it an auto, but it's flat out reving past 5 grand, so whats the use of having a tacho that goes to 11 grand? lol. But yeah, his car, his money.
  9. I went for the R33 simply because I had more to choose from. Honestly, when I was in the market I would've been happy with either an R33 or an R32. Would've loved a 34, but they're just a touch outa my price range. But I'm stoked with my 33. Drives great, goes hard. More than capable of wiping the floor with the average Common-dore. Works for me.
  10. Yeah, I got 17's. What wheels do the R34's come out standard with? They come with 18's don't they?
  11. Ok here's the deal, a friend of a friend has this R34 GTR he's been setting up for circuit racing, I was lucky enough to go for a spin in it last Friday night. Anyway, he upgraded the brakes and he's had the stock rotors and calipers (Brembo's) sitting in his garage for ages. He reckons he might only want a couple hundred bucks for them, since he's got more money than most of us will ever see in a life time. My question is, will they fit on my 1995 R33 GTS-T?
  12. I get that clicking noise from the dash too. No idea what it is though.
