"I'm looking for the Bk's but they don't exist as NGK took them off the market, and left the platniums on obviously to make more money, and apparently the BC's cause misfire issues in Skylines (as posted earlier). Also, I called Coventry and they said to use these - ngk - pfr7b - $22 per plug (the original plugs from japan are ngk - pfr5g-11).. But they are still $22 a plug! So no ideas on a reliable, cheaper copper range? I'd prefer copper, if I was going to be forced to get expensive plugs again, I'd just get the iridiums - they took the biggest mofo of a beating - Toluene, octane boosters, tequila and all sorts of shit that went into the tank. Never used platniums before, and plus I'd really like to go cheaper plug so I can experiment without destroying my wallet any further... Because if the 7's go ok.. I'll be tempted to try 8's...Anything to beat this pre-ignition with a stick.." -

guys I can't find copper tipped "7" heat range ANYWHERE! can anyone help me? NGK stopped their line of copper "7" plugs in favour of the platnium plugs that cost much much more... Are their any other brands that anyone can suggest? -

and I'll assume you're on a track... if you on a track...why don't you just let the car idle before you turn it off... If you're going to just do this everywhere on the street and want to "cool" your turbo.... I suggest you sell your car before you hurt someone. -

yeah I wanted to do that, but they discontinued all of the copper range with the heat rating of "7" etc and only kept the platnium range. So if I want to change the plugs, its gonna cost me $20 per plug. Sucks ass. I think they saw that one coming. Wish I could source a simple $4 plug that fits a skyline and runs the "7" heat range -

back to the plug issue - Does anyone see a problem with me skipping the "7" heat range plug and going straight to an "8" range plug? I'm not sure what I should get, 7's or 8's. Aiming for about 17psi and about 230rwkw until I can get the water methanol kit. Don't want to kill my motor... -
nah, just want launch control. As for nengun, they said its been stopped and not to ask for them. I just want to know what they are going ot replace the powerfc pro with.. Maybe they'll make those features standard with the next generation of powerfc?

Well guys, I want IGN cut and launch control, but the have discontinued the production of the Powerfc Pro. What are my options now? Are they making them a standard feature of the standard powerfc in the near future or something? Can anyone help?

same here, tuned my car on the dyno, 20 knock, and then took it to the street and pinged up to 80 - 100. Dyno's don't load the car as much as the road. Get it re-tuned. Or DIY the ign retard on the street if you have a datalogit.

No. Its a Garret GT30 Core, with a TO4S 7 blade 52mm trimmed wheel sitting in a .7 compressor cover. The RB25 Exhaust housing is rated at .63, internally gated, ground out to fit the GT30 core. Far from a high fow. Well, I'll go and see the tuner on monday and get it booked in, probably another week or hopefully it will be done by the end of the week. Maybe they overgroundthis one to make more top end and create less restriction? Apparently its a common technique, they overgrind to make room so that the housing doesn't become too restrictive. Can't really tell the top end power, as all the power has dropped off a fair bit because I will assume the powerfc is using a completly different set of load points. ie, more air and a lower rpm means it will be lower down on the map earlier in the revs, and I doubt those load points have been tuned properly. I'll have to get it sorted. Feels about 50 times better to drive, starts spooling at about 2700rpm and the boost guage rises so much faster, and 15psi at 3400rpm - 3600rpm. But the power feels a little more progressive. I'd assume this will be good for about 250rwkw until the housing becomes restrictive? All I'm after -

not yet, but few guys measured up the VG compared to the RB25 and said the RB25 was slighty smaller... Its really woken up the turbo -

well guys.... its done. I've bolted the turbo back on...and it was a complete.... SUCCESS~!!! I managed to take it for a bit of a run but its hardcause its pouring rain here and I can't hook up, but with little load cause its spinning, I am now reaching full boost at 3400rpm. Starts spooling at about 2500rpm, and FULL BOOST BY 3400 f**kING RPM great eh? Car feels about 500000 times better. I just can't wait till it dries up and I can get some traction. The shed we did the work in is a large circle so they can work on trucks and truck can turrn around in etc and its bitumen... So yeah... To celebrate, I cut some rings in the wet cause i was happy... oh and at full boost at 3400rpm... yeah, anyway, this setup really goes well now. LKike really really well. Just need a bit more boost and some better fuel and I should have as much power as I want.. so yeah - time for some "8" heat range plugs, a bit more boost, and some water methanol injection. Any questions?? f**ken happy right here........... -

but is there a chance that I could do damage to my engine by putting colder plugs in? going from 6 - 8 is ok? Also, took the turbo of this afternoon, took us 35mins to remove the intake, front dump pipe, lines and turbo. Luckily, my family members own an extremely large trucking company, so we pushed the car over a pit, and my cousin is a mechanic (17yo!) and he had a lot more experience that me under a bonnet and I'm 24! Top job none the less. Car sits in the shed, with its balls cut of (no turbo lol) while the RB25 housing gets ground up this week to fit. Saturday, I'll be fitting the turbo back on. All I can say is, f**k it was easy. In the meantime, I'm gonig to source a set of "8" heat range NGK plugs if I don't chicken out and get "7"s, and get some new gaskets. While all of this is happening, I'll be ona road trip to cairns for work! See you guys when I get back. I have a nifty litte gadget that allows my laptop to connect to the internet over a 10kb\sec link anywhere where there is mobile coverage so no doubt when I'm at a motel bored, I'll connect jump on SAU. Thanks for your help guys, and if anyone could get back to me about experiences with "8" heat range plugs asap, I'll make a decision and maybe order a set. -
