  1. Well, I'm going to do all of that, but the turbine is a Standard Skyline Turbo Turbine ground out to fit the GT30. Do you think that could be too small? I'd adjust those AFR's down low, you'll be suprised how much of a difference it will make. As for the power, it doesn't die, it just stops making power after 6000rpm. I'm going to drop that cat at some stage this week and see what the hell is going on. Might be blocked.
  2. THe car pings its ass off otherwise. Mind you, my CAS is advanced quite a bit, so this 10 degrees plus base timing would equal a fairly high figure
  3. Ok, well, last night I threw in the sniffer and pushed my boost from 16psi to 18psi. Car responded ok once the AFRs were set to 12:1, but I seem to be getting no where rom 6000rpm to 7000rpm (redline. here are my maps. http://members.iinet.net.au/~pacey/18psi1.htm http://members.iinet.net.au/~pacey/18psi2.htm Wonder why the car isn't really responding to anything above 6k? Could it be the Ground out RB25 housing on the GT30, or could it be a blocked cat from running stupidly rich maos from the retarded tuner that tuned my car? I'm thinking of dumping the cat and seeing what happens.. Anyone got any ideas? Going to dyno the car on this setup, then set it back to 16psi and my other tune. If the power is less than a 5 - 10 rwkw diference I'm gonig to leave it at 16psi... I had to pull out massive timing on the load row "11571" (thats as far down as the Powerfc goes)
  4. go for it. Don't be worried, a clutch is a consumable like tyres or a fuel filter. They wear out. Just get her changed and you'll be back in business. Get a nice "on off" style clutch. They are fun.
  5. do the idle via the power fc. Nad every engine is different. If it idles better at 750 - 800, then set it to that. 700 is too low for my RB25. It struggles. 800 works niceley, and 950 is good for the aircon.
  6. paul is right on the money
  7. tai, listen to these guys, they know what they are talking about.
  8. safc = waste of time I got a powerfc, fmic and exhaust and managed 210rwkw. Safc would be a dodgey 190rwkw or so
  9. yeah, go for the smaller .86 rear for good power but half decent delivery.
  10. with about $1k spare, you'll be able to get a nice 3100 poundJim Berry Special. It will never slip again (until you put about 350rwkw through it)
  11. I've sent you an email at your gmail address
  12. if the rods are all in good condition, would you take $150 for all of them?
  13. easy way to tell if it's the clutch - 1. Stop 2. Put it in 4th Gear 3. Try and take off. 4. If the car stalls, then not the clutch 5. If the car rev's up and carries on, clutch is shagged.
  14. if your dipstick was blown out then don't f**k around trying to diagnose it mate. Start pulling the motor out. You've got some serious blowby. If you need closure, do a compression test. I bet you have a couple of completely stuffed ring lands..
  15. Hi Everyone. I have done the EXACT same thing. The relays click like hell and scare the shit out of you into thinking that the powerfc is blown. The whole dash goes dim and flickers. There is a fuse that will be blown. Change it, rewire the AFM's, and you'll be running fine. That what I did.
  16. With a t70 on the side, you'd be mad not to put forgies and rods in that motor.
  17. they are a lot higher than our ausie dyno readings.. lol damn yanks trying to show off
  18. Right on the money
  19. hence my sarcasm.. I'm getting tired of these threads.
  20. holy shit, thats a good run. 129mph is f**king awesome. Nice work! Got any videos?
  21. Did it all myself, so I don't have to rely on the dickhead tuners in my town.
  22. no idea, only saying this because I have used bkr6eya and they are excellent plugs. Never had a drama.
  23. I hammered my car around for about 2 months before I got it tuned. Standard powerfc maps run as rich as hell so you're not going to hurt anything. Just keep the boost below 10psi and you'll be right. 8psi standard maps - 140rwkw 13psi standard maps - 165rwkw 13psi modified maps - 209rwkw
  24. so, I hope you are looking at an ECU before anything?
