  1. I'm actually looking at something smaller. Anyone got opinions of a Ford Kuga? I know they are only a small SUV, but I just want a simple daily for now. They have the 5 cylinder turbo volvo motor in them, same as the XR5. 150kw and 300nm and AWD. Should easily hit over 200kw with an edit. With a decent engine and AWD, I thought it might be a good setup. and yes, I know Bennys FJ would probably run right over the top of it, lol.
  2. I got this shits with the last flood. Lost a few things, but was insured. This time, I bought a high block house. Booom, problem solved, haha.
  3. It's not useless cal, just doesn't drain much. It's useful because if you can equalise the pressure between the head and the sump, the oil will drain better. For example, if the pressure in the sump is greater than the head, oil isn't going to want to head that way easily.
  4. Don't be too picky with the rear head drain. It acts more of a breather / air pressure equaliser more than a drain. Tests have been done and barely anything at all comes out of it.
  5. Obviously know nothing about air displacement? If there is a sudden vacuum behind the afm, the air is going to move that way isn't it... Meaning moving backwards through the AFM.. Can't be good for the readings can it?
  6. If you can't understand why Plumb back BOVs are essential for AFM sensing ECUs, sell your car and buy a push bike. f**k, its not rocket science. I don't care how many people have cars that have ATMO and AFMS and "apparently work" because the logs and AFRs will show otherwise.
  7. I can't really mack much of that out because I can't see the colours well. But anyway, if you need another brain, let me know and I will organise a time to catch up. On another note, Benny, you might like this:
  8. I just use to FC-Datalogit software. If its not the program, I can actually have a look if it is something else. I've lost count on how many Powerfcs I've tuned. Ran into and fixed all sorts of problems. Another brain always helps in trouble shooting.
  9. You really need to come and see me, I'll hook my gear up and have a look for you. I owe you a favour.
  10. I wanted a dark grey, non vspec just so it was a bit cheaper. Agreed value with Shannon's insurance was a win. Then bought the wreck back for $2k and sold it in parts for well over $10k. So, I'm not complaining haha. Been slack though. Been driving a 1995 corolla around for the last 18 months. Haven't settled on what I am going to buy yet
  11. nah mate, the GTST is dead. Hit some guy that ran a red light. Parted it out and got insurance so I got some good coin back. I want actually going to buy an R34, then decided on a R33 or R32 so I could spend the money I saved on house renovations. I have a pair of HKS2530s here lol (Thanks Ben)
  12. Its times like these where I wish I had bought a R33 Vspec... Damnit daywalker.. haha I've got the turbos!
  13. Sean, I went into Toyota today, was passed into some dude named Ben. After having a chat to him, I realised that he knew nothing about the car and had very little interest in selling me one. Kept going in about catching him in the middle of this 3 day sale, and it was so busy. I looked around, was 2 customers in the shop. Said I was also interested in a FJ, said they had run out of pamphlets, and didn't even take me to see one. I made it clear I had the funds, wasn't kicking tyres. Next time I should just ask for you, lol. This guy was useless
  14. That happens a lot to me. They just start cutting you off and indicate half way through. These f**ken tools have no idea. How about they indicate first for at least 4-5 seconds so we know what they want to do, and can open up a gap for them? Anyway, Merry christmas to you all.
  15. Thanks mate, as soon as I get a chance I will organise something with one of these guys. About oils earlier too, A mate sent me an interesting test of all oils. Seems Royal Purple and Penrite seem to be the best in these particular tests. http://www.users.on.net/~pacey/sau/Oil%20Tests.pdf
  16. Thanks Sean, I will make another call. That dude must not have been too interested in selling me a car..
  17. Sean I called up and asked a guy to let me know when a A86 came in and he never got back to me. I want to take one for a test drive
  18. I think they are just Densos Callan. They are definitely re-branded
  19. Isn't the new patrol coming out with the VQ56 nissan V8 next year?
  20. Hey Ben, what about a Great Wall? Lol
  21. I can see this 180sx ending up being like the R32... One of the tidiest and best set up in Australia... lol
  22. Will do, definitely not good form from someone like Thiess. Its not like I am some young di.ckhead with no clue, absolutely no life experience, getting drunk every night of the week. I'm an old di.ckhead.
  23. I'm on $40ph now, in town, airconned office, I'm the boss, and I can come and go when I please, so its probably not worth it. I'll just have another look next year and see if I still want a change in career. Thanks for all the advice though, appreciate it
  24. I wasn't expecting huge money, but $17ph was a bit of an insult
  25. I figured What rosters are all of you guys on? Any preference?
