  1. It really sucks, this thread was going great until page 21. As soon as dysonest starting posting. He literally off the bat started the slander and trouble. Goes to show the type of person he is and how a select few of you follow like sheep. Its kind of depressing that people have nothing better to do than to run people down to make themselves feel better. f**king disappointed. Everyone was having a decent yap about Mackay and imports without any trouble or slander what so ever. And I admit that I shouldn't have reacted as bad as I did but after a while you just get pissed off from some asshole with a shit attitude and view on life and other people.
  2. lol.
  3. I must apologise Elite racing. I thought Force Fed was actually representing ERD.
  4. I was merely talking about the tune... *yawn* But I do not know what happened with that.. Could have been any one of you and you're just covering your asses. I have seen it many times. I could point out other things... Like who puts 280+ cams in a car that can only safely rev to around 7500rpm? Nah, just rev the f**k out of it until it blows and sell it to someone. lol. Glass houses... Oh, and now you're using bold, underline, and larger text. wow. Talk about defensive about something.
  5. You have to keep emphasising the fact that I'm "backing up" or that you're "shooting me down" to win your stupid argument. lol. I should start saying that... I shot you down buddy... say I'm a bad tuner yet the car had so many issues... Tuning, mechanically, bad setup, f**ked turbo, f**ked wiring.. the list goes on. Glass houses...
  6. I'm not blaming anyone. You guys persist in saying how shit I am over something very petty. Nick even says that my tunes are shit because the intercooler pipes kept blowing off. lol! But the car did come from you and Nick, so who knows. I guess me making these assumptions is no different from the ones you're making - You know all about me yet you're so far away and haven't seen a single thing. lol.
  7. Shoot me down? Haha! Coming from someone that provided a car that run like shit, had a f**ked head gasket from having too much timing in it, and was a complete mess? Haha yeah you keep shooting me down.
  8. Ok, so it wasn't you. I actually thought you were the person that tuned it because he did say it was tuned or worked on in townsville.. I don't even know you remember - Just like you don't even know me.
  9. you saw the ignition timing I posted didn't you?
  10. Stating confidence once or twice can be every time to you if you want. I don't have loyal followers... I just do my thing. keep saying that tune was never touched... I keep hearing differently... lol. A workshop would never EVER do that.
  11. Its funny, I don't even know these fools and they have so much to say about me based on nothing. Oh well, keep up your sheeping
  12. Actually, once I said I was confident in my tuning ability - After many years of actually doing it. Then Nick jumped on it and rode it like a poofter. Let me guess, the SMS is from Nick? and regarding that that awesome ignition map I posted earlier, with the completely f**k up timing that blew his motor... You know he's pretty much saying you did that. You're what, 23, and such an expert eh? I don't really have to comment - My results actually do speak for themselves.
  13. You're awesome too Force fed. Go back to your threads where you blow your own horn and f**k yourself. If someone bagged you out for no good reason or had no hard evidence you'd react the same way. Wasn't blowing my horn, just getting the shits with people talking shit from hearsay or jealousy - And selling f**ked cars to unsuspecting people as "a perfect running motor"
  14. And I think I know who you're talking about. I guess they shouldn't have f**ked around with the fuel without using a wideband to see if the car was too lean or not. They also had no idea what they were doing. That particular tune, Clapson saw on the dyno and said himself that it was perfect. (Before it was f**ked with to "try and get more power"). They were fools and I will never touch anything they own based on their dishonesty and general shit talk.
  15. Well, I have heard plenty. And continue to do so. If you want to believe that story then good for you, I've heard different from 3 different people. Just like how you hear things. And its amazing, he buys an engine, and its stuffed straight up. All the fully sic limiter bashing pinging its nuts off must have been real good eh? And tell those people that weren't happy that I am happy to fix up any issues they may have had. I've been in touch with almost all people I have helped and none have had any complaints. I'm pretty sure the shit you're dribbling will just be hearsay. Leon backs my tunes 100%, and he's a very honest bloke.
  16. You tell me to get over myself, yet there is nothing for me to get over. You are the fools trying to prove some bullshit point. I'm simply confident in my work. And dyshonest, the man how winds the f**k out of his timing, blows the f**k out of his head gasket, and then sells it to some poor unsuspecting person as a perfect engine... Then bags me out as a tuner. oh the irony. I'm astounded at the "dyshonesty" alright...Was a dog act. And you're his sheep, you and your Chris mate. its ok, good for you. A few of my customers? Let me guess, Blocka, and the Ebay turbo that wouldn't make power beyond 200rwkw because it was a peice of shit, proven by 2 different tuners? I can't help it if people get scammed and buy shit that won't produce the flow. Good for you though. If you want to talk about mis-informed shit, thats your problem I guess. You're a sheep.
  17. This is where I can help - Chemistry was one of my strong areas at school. Always had an interest in it. This is a Ethanol Molecule: This is a Heptane Molecule (The most common molecule in gasoline) As you can see, there are a lot more Hydrogen and Carbon atoms in gasoline (These are called carbon chains), so technically you'd need 2 x more ethanol molecules to take up the same amount of weight as Heptane is twice the weight. You should see diesel - its twice as long again. When you add oxygen (o2) with Heptane, compress it and add a source of ignition, the carbon chains break down via a chemical reaction and re-forms into co2 +h20 + energy (and lots of other nasties due to the additives in the fuel). The reason these chemicals do this is because of electron shells, and wanting them to be full and stable. (Electron shells are another whole chemistry lesson, haha) here is stoichiometric: or simple terms - (Thanks wikipedia) This is is a fairly simple maths equation. If you count the amount of carbon atoms in the Heptane molecule it helps you understand this equation better. You can work out how many oxygen molecules are required to burn a molecule of heptane. If you did chemisty you would have learned this back in school! haha. Anyway, ethanol is more interesting in the way it reacts with oxygen under pressure and an ignition source. Ethanol -> C2H5OH(l) + 3 O2(g) =Heat=> 2 CO2(g) + 3 H2O(g) Gasoline -> 2C8H18 + 25O2 ~> Heat=> 16CO2 + 18H2O Ethanol being smaller, having its own oxygen molecules, and being more "chemically satisfied" means that you can compress it more, and with that extra heat due to compression it is more stable and less prone to becoming unstable and reaction on its own without control (detonation). The extra oxygen molecules also help it also burn cooler. It also produces more energy so the idea of using double the amount on light loads isn't entirely correct. There is an exact way of figuring it out but I CBF'd doing the maths right now. Once any engine is on heavier loads, power starts to simplify and mostly rely on the amount of fuel and oxygen that can pass through, and efficiency. In a nutshell, you can cram more Ethanol into the cylinder because, meaning you will use more, but you will also make more power. If you can't make more power because of engine \ airflow \ other limitations, then you won't use more. The consumption is really based on power output. For example - Bennys GTR would chew the shit out of it because its making bulk power There is much more to explain and I'd need hours and a white board to explain but this gives you a good idea of the differences. Google also helps a lot if you're looking for information on the chemical reactions. I love E85 and the chemisty behind it and I wish they would replace all bowser fuel with it as its much better for the environment, and our precious engines. Oh, and there is almost no soot! To the people that don't know me and make up shit like I read a few magazines to learn how to tune (They know who they are) and think they are cool posting lies on facebook, keep living in that muppet \ sheep lifestyle of not having a clue. I'm more than happy to see you burn money on tuning elsewhere. I'm 8 years into tuning and my friends \ customers are quite happy with the results. To the rest, give me a call if you have any questions, I am more than happy to help
  18. I've seen that many times too. I am hoping they are bringing E85 there since the tanks are being dug up. I'll be buying something forced ASAP if so. I be it runs out all the time though
  19. I'm about 90% sure that they are stamped with numbers so it shouldn't be too hard to get the right ones. It really sucks that they were mixed up though, that's a big no-no, makes the head neary useless without expensive machining.
  20. Why is the cam like that? Will you have to get it line bored or something?
  21. Awesome. I built the RB30 with 8.4:1, and I wasn't happy with the low end power. You can really tell when you're missing that bit of CR. Mostly off boost. Even with the 256's in, it could have been better. Especially with a 3.0L! I had luck with the 2 x 1.3mm but if you're happy with 1 x 1.5mm then try it out and see how you go. Are you increasing the oil pressure? I opened my clearances from 2.2thou to 2.35 thou and bumped the pressure up 10psi - 15psi. Guys on SAU said its kind of like this: 2.2 thou - Factory 2.3 thou - 300rwkw 2.4 thou - 400rwkw Just sharing some notes anyway. If you are going to play with oil pressures, save yourself weeks by cutting a hole in the sump and putting in a bung so you can change the springs in the oil pump without having to take the sump off. Quite a few people are doing this now. My mate did it and had to change his pressures about 3 times. Saved lots of time lol. Leon would probably tig one on for next to nothing.
  22. Callan, what CR are you aiming for? Would be nice if E85 was here.. Could build to 9:1 without an issue. Maybe even a tiny bit more. Also, what is your view on restrictors? I went 2 x 1.3mm with the blocked VCT (For the 3.0L) and at 85psi there was a tiny bit of oil in the can. Dropped to 75psi - 80psi and no more oil.
  23. That's what I was saying. Don't watch the water temp, wait for the oil pressure to drop to normal levels.
  24. Just remember, when warming up a car, you shouldn't be looking at the water temp. You should be looking at the oil pressure. I set the 50c to 1 and forget about it. Those corrections are a pain in the bum. A lot of the drift guys here like to run 70c thermostats.
  25. That is awesome Kingy. I'll never forget that day we checked the tune and it was pulling like hell from 2,000rpm onwards. Shame the clutch started slipping. I would have loved to see the full potential. I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer and get one for myself
