Looking for suggestions/opinions on good quality point and shoot or 3/4 mirrorless camera. Need a smaller alternative to the DSLR (not that a D40x is big) for the mrs to use whilst we are overseas at the end of the year. I think I'll still take my camera but want her to be able to snap some images when she pleases but get some good images also. Fuji X100 is an option altough at the higher end of what I would want to pay for something like that. Pretty good reviews on DPreview and Ken Rockwell. Olympus E-P3 Pen looks okay. Dont suggest Leica. My holiday will probably cost less than a fkn Leica I have (well its borrowed and in London currently) a Lumix something... good point and shoot I bought 4 or so years back. Hoping for something a step up from that for custom control on my behalf, and full auto for the boss (but get good results still).

So is this any good or not? I downloaded it last night, installed thismorning, made a login during today... havn't played it as yet and might not get a chance tonight with the state of origin to watch. I have played LFS for a few years now - one of of a handful of games prior to my PS3 that I had actually paid for. They have been promising this new tyre modelling for far too long... as with everything it fades to me forgetting it exists for 6 months at a time. Either way - LFS is pretty sweet, better back in the day with lfsTweak... with the custom cylinders, engine configurations, tyre sizes etc. etc. - made some wicked powerful drift mobiles... and smoke mod was fun to reduce my old shitty computers framerate to a standstill

Regardless... why does there need to be a newer version already? unless Forza is going down the Need for Speed route and releasing newer versions per year with a 'twist'... eh! Its like the constant fkn release of Call of Duties... nerds cant hold onto their cash with this bullshit!

yea l love the super clear & crisp lines you get on cars... agreed the effect on the background looks great.

I usually get my gear from Camerasdirect.com.au. Couldn't beat there amazing customer service, even when I had a mis-focus issue with a Sigma lens and had to send it back twice, fantastic to deal with. I dont think their pricing is any better than anywhere else, but good range and have had stock of what I have required.
