I just boosted my 33 gtst today up to 9 psi (approx). when giving it a boot the car when hitting high rev's starts to backfire constantly and feels like it is pumping massive amounts of air through the exhaust as it shakes back and forth. The mechanic says i need irridium plugs... Anyone had this problem? I thought the car could be put up to at least 14 psi before needing spark plugs...

As above... i am after a bleed valve prefer turbosmart if possible. Anyone have one in good nick for sale near sydney. going to be installing on tuesday so i would like to buy it tomorrow otherwise i will have to source one through a retailer. Thanks...

When driving along on an open road in 2nd gear or above and i go full throttle, when the revs hit around the 5000+ mark the engine does not run as smoothly as before and begins to like missfire and the exhaust begins to backfire as if there is too much load or stress on the engine. Anyone know what this is? Some one said new irridium spark plugs would fix it? what are ur thoughts? Thanks...

I think my gear box is about to go... I have seen 2 mechanics and they say its the bearing on the front of the gearbox (apparently common on skylines) anyone had this? How much does it cost for a rebuild? Thanks....

skywalker the same thing happened to me last week at bob jane in bondi junction. I dont think they did shit all cause it only took them like 15 min and i didnt get a report sheet or anything...

I think compared to usual stock street cars a gtst skyline is relatively quick but considerrably laggy cause of weight. Mine is stock with pos and turbo back exhaust. I am considering getting a computer, cooler, and boosting it but i dont want to wreck the car. I keep getting told that when boosting a car u dramatically decrease the life of your engine and in some cases totally stuff it up (lean out). what u guys think? who has run high boost on stock internals and how long did your engine last?

I have this problem when i rev my car and its not in gear the revs come back down and fall below the normal idle level. The car pretty much stalls then pics itself up again and idles normally. same thing if i take of fast then put the clutch in. anyone had this problem? Or know what is wrong? Thanks...

Dont all aftermarket front bars crack easy as they are fibleglass and chip away to pieces? Is there anywhere where u can buy aftermarket plastic ones?

I like it but as many say that nissan should have stuck to the r34 gtr model and improved upon that. Comfy looking seats though:)
