  1. Have been polishing up the trailer rims as they had been sitting in the shed for a few years and are really in need of some love. This was after a couple of passes with chrome polish - coming up quite well ✅ .
  2. It cost me $2900 all up for a local trailer / towbar place to supply and install. I did think it was a bit steep initially but after all the work involved and seeing the final result I think its well justified. Hardest part was finding someone willing to customize and fit it up with trial and error basically. Whereabouts are you located? - I had my work done locally in Wangara.
  3. Yes customized and built from scratch pretty much after finally finding a local towbar supply and install place that was willing to do something "different". Very happy with it for sure 👌

  5. Waaay ahead of ya....(evil laugh!!) Will show the fitment and spec details later when it isnt as rainy !
  6. Been a busy but productive day. Axle and hubs acquired. All fitted up after a bit of modifying. Need to sort out wider mudguards and running light reflector covers but other than that the trailer is gooood to go !!
  7. 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
  8. Trailer prep is underway... Lined up the wheel to get a rough indication of how it would sit Then removed all the bits (as far as possible) and gave the frame a light sand and quick lick of paint Then added some carpet
  9. So I ride and race motorcycles for fun and have always used a van to transport my track weapons. Figured towing a racebike with a skyline would be different and if done right could - "look fully sik" or quite cool for us grown ups lol. Pic of yours truly on two wheels I also have a trailer already kitted out to transport my bikes ...and I have a spare set of rims that match the car that I was going to rebarrel to get deeper dish at some stage but they have just been gathering dust. Sooooooo it is only logical.... Stay tuned !!
  10. Night Fury is still going strong. Just added a few recent pics. I have a few projects lined up so stay tuned - I plan to breathe new life into this thread soon!!
  11. New seats and harnesses are 90% in. Few more bits to tidy up which I should have done in the next couple of weeks. Looking great so far !
  12. Refresh the carpets time. Old job I did was getting on in age and thought it would be nice to spruce it up again. Bunnings do a nice thinner more pliable version as well so very keen to have this one up and running and see how hard it is to massage into shape.
  13. Totally get your concern thanks mate. Just watched this as I didnt really know about it in detail I must admit. I dont plan on racing or going too crazy so I think I will be fine. Learnt a few things reading up and watching that video so thanks for alerting me to it cheers 👍
  14. Ordered a pair of sparco 4 point race harnesses. should look like this
  15. Random pic that I am using as my current screen background. Sparco carbon foot pedal covers rocked up. Seemingly good quality overall and no blemishes or defects in construction so quite impressed overall. They will need the original pedals to be drilled so I will work out how to remove them and do that as a project over the xmas break.
  16. MERRY CHRISTMAS to myself !! ✅🎁🎄🎅🏻 see whats coming in my stocking.... 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
  17. Cant seem to stop driving at the moment. Loving it 😍✅ New p zeros make a huge difference and combined with the stopping power and absolutely amazing handling of the coilovers - wow - I am super stoked ! Next project is having the front bar / lip resprayed. Has a fair few stone chips and dings and dents and a noticeable crack / crumple from when the lip crunched on the "low" ramp going up the tyre places hoist which turned out to be not so low :/
  18. Ordered these and another random recent picture of how the car sits
  19. Small split / crack on the top of the guard from catching on the tyre(s) sadly yes. I am actually getting more and more used to the feel of "coilover suspension" with every drive so its actually starting to feel normal 😁
  20. As far as the coilovers go - in a nutshell chalk and cheese over stock suspension with lowered springs that I was running to date. The goods handles like it is on rails - would be absolutely fantastic on track as is very very good on smooth(er) sections seemingly less squat when you floor it and grips instantly / the pull feels stronger does not nose dive as much on very heavy braking looks really nice now and sits at a perfect height The not so goods definitely way bumpier than the aging stock setup which was super comfortable but boat like and very floaty (you do feel every bump and the 16 way dampening setting on the front helps a bit but you still feel the bumps so I just drive with it turned up closer to fully hard anyway. Yet to get to the backs to adjust them (currently set fully hard) as I am looking into extenders that will sit clear of the parcel shelf to allow adjustability without the stuff around my guards cracked during the testing and install sadly but the plan was/is to have them prepped properly and resprayed so I am not too fussed right now
  21. Brakes are very very good. They dont feel super touchy or sensitive like the feel of brakes on a small lightweight hatch for example (but I have always been a gradual / trail braker anyways so it suits me just fine) and really only start powering on from about 10% in. They are very powerful and bitey from there on though and have impressed me greatly with their ability to pull the car up in what I still visually think would take twice as long (and this is without even stomping down on them in a panic brake). So overall very impressed with them over stock brakes with upgraded drilled rotors that I ran previously. I chose the sport pad option from D2 and while they are quite dusty thus far I cannot really frame a judgement on that as I have been braking a hell of a lot of late to "bed them in nicely". So really I have been concentrating a lot more on that in the few drives since installing them and not a true representation of "normal use" The calipers are huge and only just cleared the insides of my wheels so definitely something to think about when going bigger !
  22. Bringing this thread back to life ! Brake and suspension upgrade ✅ Went with a 356mm 6 pot brake kit from D2 Australia and HSD monopro coilovers
