Also (since I forgot earlier) shout out to Joel for being an absolute gem of a mate and remembering that I wanted tinted indicators and selling me his. Beats my DIY tinted ones any day. Though in all fairness to myself I was trying to tint amber lens..haha. Pictures tomorrow !! -

It is the powder stuff that I dissolved with hot water and salt and then used that spray bottle to layer fine layers of mist on so that it would spread evenly and dry quicker -

After a bit of internet research over the last few days, I decided to just YOLO (you only live once - I did not know what it meant either initially..hahaa) and this happened........... P.S. If I end up with a black back and bum don't try this at home !! Everyone knows what stock seats with factory material that looked good 18 odd years ago looks like nowadays. So there is going to be no picture for that..... (insert picture of faded GTR seat) This is after the first light coat... This is after I turned up the heat and went with another two coats.... Getting my black on.... It is bound to dry patchy for the first few coats...so I am not too worried...but hopefully after a few thousand coats it will be nice and even !! P.S. It is drying up quite nicely actually as I type this and has begun to look pretty good YAY !! NOW TO SEE IF IT RUNS WITH SWEAT !! -

This is what the inside of the wheel adjuster thingie looks like btw for anyone struggling to remove it so that you can take the plastic trim off...on the previous seat it took me over half an hour to get a flat head screwdriver in there to wedge open the circlip !! Anyways...the plastic bits are going to be painted first thing tomorrow. -

No racetrack K-Dawg.......passenger on board !! Have nothing new to report really......I have been slacking off on the car build for now as I am in saving mode but I am still very motivated so there is no need to panic. Been building random "jap stuff" for myself in the meantime.......all for the big ass garage at the new place !! Picked up this bit of whiteboard from Bunnings the other day Got out my paint pens and put my artistic skills (or lack of them - lol) to good use.... Few nails later....ta da....a cool personalized tool storage thingo for my basic tools; which will be mounted on the garage wall !! Looks like a two year old was let loose but ah well....I am proud of it...hahaaa -

Okay I am now a Redline fanboy. Has started to really work well and gear changes are a lot smoother than before. Would seriously recommend it to anyone starting to experience gearbox woes. In other news......had a play with the editing software on my phone -

So finally got around to doing the second gearbox oil change two days ago..... Did it through the shifter hole this time as I now know exactly how much goes in. RESULTS First start up and drive around - This was immediately after putting the oil in. Shifted into reverse and first beautifully. Second was still hard to put into and notchy. Got nice and smooth when warm as usual. Second day of driving - This was on the way back from work this evening. Went into second with a tiny bit of grinding for the first three four shifts. Then felt really good with slight stiffness but no grinding or obstruction. It seems to be getting better but I refuse to be happy till it gets really good - so I will keep monitoring for a week......thanks to everyone who recommended Redline as you are right so far - it would be easy to say "should have gone with Redline" but then again hindsight is a wonderful thing. -
