  1. Welcome Paul. You have a Series 1 car, as Series 2 cars are NOT turbo, built >2004. Different interior and a few other things. I'll let the guys that know all about electronics sort you out on the other things. Interestingly, I think the Series 2 cars have a direct Ipod connection, but i don't have an ipod, so haven't tried it. Just know that there is some connector in the arm rest that looks a bit ipod-ish! If your in NSW, Andy can also help with TV. I Think only Chris is doing Cruise control, up in QLD.
  2. Thats what the guy says so in the other forum. "You can pick up an M35 Stagea for around 5k upwards. If you could source second hand parts, which are rare, I reckon that would be around 2-3k So with the car, parts and labour, I reckon you'd be into 10k+" Of course your talking GBP, not AUD. I guess it comes down to how handy you are with a spanner + Welder eh? 2nd hand parts would be the only way to go. Lets not forget, the guy owns a R35 anyway, so he mustn't be short of coin!
  3. There is something not quite right about the look. its the width or something, can't quite put my hand on it. But I think it looks great. Question is, spend 15k on that and have a stock motor? Or keep the normal nose and drop 15k into the engine? I think i know what i'd rather...
  4. 630pm Saturday night, Black M35, Funny go fast strips down the side Hi Jetwreck! Think the Mrs was behind the wheel, coming back from Hornsby.
  5. Yeah, First time up there, I start from berowra truck stop if your in. C34 silver, no idea about s1 or 2, about 830 Southern Cross drive heading towards the city, stuck in the ever present Sydney traffic jam
  6. +1 more M35. Nail some details down eh?
  7. 2005, Series 2, different interior, VQ35de motor, and a few little other things here and there i think (such as a different operating system in the trip computer.) Known as a PNM35. As for smoking smell, thanks for the suggestions. I've given the coffee grounds a crack, and used a ozone generator. it's greatly reduced the smell, when i smelt the coffee out of the car, def smelt like ciggies!I now pretty much can't notice it. I have cloth seats, so don't really have any tips for leather. Maybe you might have to give them some hide feed or something, hydrate the leather a bit before trying to drag the smell out again?
  8. Hope everyone went well tonight. Was thinking bout tagging along, but he with the most Letters is the slowest! Please tell me someone videoed it? post to Youtube please. I'll get her out there next trip!
  9. about 4:00pm today Black NM35 Pac Hwy, Chatswood with QLD number plates. Good polish job!
  10. Yeah thats the place. The only place to get a series 2 atm, Can't say anything bad whatsoever about the service. +1 happy customer I did see yours down there a while ago, the Mrs liked it quite a bit, looks good with the wheels. Yep , M35 meet up has to be on the cards sometime soon!
  11. lol... I just knew that the first thing that would be said would be about a TT setup! It would be great fun, have to admit, that big HKS TT kit just looks sexy! Thanks for the heads up with the screen conversion. I'll be keen. As for TV, we'll have to talk, it'd be nice. Yeah, the guys did the AC filter for me before delivery (great service, great blokes), and the smell is greatly decreasing. Trying a couple of different things atm, which seem to be working. The Mrs doesn't even notice it, which is great! Thanks guys.
  12. Hi All, I'm new round here, so bear with me while I have my forum training wheels on! I picked up my PNM35 yesterday. VQ35de, AWD. Its magic, love it. I'm not a "turbo" person so the VQ35 was perfect, having said that, I have driven turbo cars before and know the rush! And I'm also impressed with some of the atwkw that some of you guys are getting! Now back to my question: Has anyone done a series 2 English conversion to the pop up screen thingo/computer? does it run the same system as the s1 M35's? At this stage I'm not looking at converting TV/satnav, as i understand they are pretty expensive. Thanks to all you guys on here for providing so much quality info on the M35. after thought: anyone got a proven ciggie smell removal technique that doesn't involve gutting the car or taking up smoking!!?? Cheers.
  13. Hi All, Picked up a 2005 Stagea yesterday, so we're getting to know each other still. I guess I'll be found in the stagea section from now on, with all my other wagon buddies. Hope to meet up with a few stags round the place, and have seen quite a few M35's in my area. Mines stock, VQ35de, AWD... 5mts long and Grey- hard to miss! Just want to say thanks for all the guys who have put effort into the Stagea section, because it made researching and finding info so much easier. I will endeavor to make a decent contribution when i can. Cheers.
