  1. Yep, meet at the truck stop, then you can decide if you want to go the Pac Hwy, or the F3 to Gosford- then meet up with another group up the coast. about 7:30ish for a 8pm depart. Man up Iain... its only a little coolant.
  2. post Resurrection- Will be attempting to go this Thursday. Who is in?
  3. yeah, but thats an x-trail.... not exactly a performance car... (but seriously- thats an awesome build.)
  4. i've see thicker drinking straws.... From left to right: HR, VHR, and DE rods. (nico club- US)
  5. Thats why most of the kits seem to be set around 6 psi... some up to 8.5. Way below what the turbo's are actually capable of. If you were to do it, I guess mount up the twin kit, drive it and sort the gearbox while it makes 6 psi. Then when the banks recovered, go blow up the motor with some boost and rebuild with some capable internals Either that go leave it NA and tune that way- which is easy too... Anyway, parts for our cars mainly come out of the states- the G35 has a massive following. If I had unlimited coin I'd buy just about everything here to make a high rev NA VQ35. Swappy gearbox to MT / RWD and reduce the weight... somehow Every time I look at that inlet manifold I get a stir downstairs!
  6. Yeah, I think its been worked out that the VQ25 turbo set up would physically bolt on to a VQ35 straight up. But the turbo couldn't handle 3.5 litres of grunt When looking for turbo kits, you have to account for 2 things mate- 1, has to be able to fit a RHD, and 2, has to be able to fit a AWD. So what your looking for is a G35x turbo kit, that can be mounted for RHD. Have a look through this turbo kit site. I don't know where you would go for engine management, if you went down that path. Alternatively, there is plenty of supercharged kits out there too! lots of options
  7. Typical Bris-vegas...
  8. another PNM35 on here!!!! Don't worry, thermo fans are common on V35's from what I can tell. Best thing it was no problems getting it fixed and the Mrs didn't cook the motor
  9. saw a M35 AR-X today on the F3 heading out of syd, with a LPG badge on the Plate.... wtf? Anyone on here drive that forklift?
  10. lol... bad luck mate. In the first pic, does it say, CAUTION- kerbs may be closer than they appear Just put the R33 wheels on it, and sell them (to me) it'll be heaps less heart ache
  11. tell us what happened to the V35?
  12. original Lolvo... by PMC or Prince Motor Company. My old man stumbled on a original handbook for one of these - fleabay'd it, it got over $120AUD! Someone still has one.... somewhere in Japan! Bit of history for you kids
  13. Oh, and just incase you haven't found it yet, everyone is pretty much in consensus that you can't run staggered wheels, because it screws with the AWD system. (sneaky little point, since your a series 2 M35, you can pull the fuse, make it RWD, and run staggered rims, but only in RWD mode...)
  14. RB was prob designed in the 70's....
  15. +40... I think...? Anyone confirm? I think Keir prob has about the biggest I know - 19x9.5 +30's
  16. Have a look through this , and look through the links. Gives a couple of options- 4 pot sumitomos(GT-R/ GTS-T) / brembos M35 brakes There is a bracket available to upsize the discs on the sumitomo to Brembo size. Looks like most of the conversions are not hard, but just depends on how much money you want to spend - brembos are at least 2 or 3 times as expensive- you pay for the name. I don't think any conversion will actually fit behind stock wheels ( without spacers)
  17. fuel card = win and +1 for 98, just show them the log book... should sufficiently confuse
  18. Picked up building supplies in mine today.Damm I love a wagon! It did get some funny looks by tradies in the timber yard!
  19. Dunno about Brembo's, there is a thread, try a search, or speak to bbenny. he's got some on his. Pretty sure they'd have to fit under CE28's 18" PM sent.
  20. Nah, just get some of those hectik Brembo covers... apparently they melt when too hot as well! Someone had some on a V35 and did a track day... full of fail. If you have wheels (need the clearance, they'll fit behind those rays anyday), look into a R32 GT-R conversion. I have the fronts, 4 pot sumitomos, and original X-drilled rotors, Jetwreck has the same, except he got a bracket conversion to run a bigger disc- a 330mm i think? A cheaper route than Brembo's. Prob just as good? I'm just waiting till I get some wheels, then they'll be going on!
  21. wiki.... where i rely on all info to be correct... So no, not instantly illegal, because the engine is not older than the chassis it's going into. Thems the rules AFAIK. VQ30DET The 3.0 L (2987 cc) VQ30DET is a turbocharged version of the VQ30DE. Bore and stroke remain the same at 93 mm and 73.3 mm respectively, and it has a compression ratio of 9.0:1. It produces 270 PS (200 kW; 270 hp) and 271 ft·lbf (367 N·m). From 1998 onwards, it produces 280 PS (210 kW; 280 hp) @6000 rpm and 285 ft·lbf (386 N·m) @3600 rpm. It is fitted to the following vehicles: * 1995–2004 Nissan Gloria Y33,Y34 * 1995–2004 Nissan Cedric Y33,Y34 * 1997–1999 Nissan Leopard Y33 * 2001–present Nissan Cima F50
  22. R35 VR38DETT trans-axle.... Easy!
  23. W58 or more likely a R154, I dunno. Fitted to the old late 80's Supra's turbo and NA. The R154 goes behind a 1JZ too i think. Don't think they have the best reputation, BUT, compared to a 2JZ Supra Getrag trans, anything might be considered fragile. lilcrash, its not the power but how you use it... this one looks like its had a gentle life
  24. looks like it drifts commodore style- in circles my guess would be that toyota 5spd would be hurting, not the strongest gearbox, but a popular one. Very nice look to it.
