  1. Curiously, I once saw a road registered McLaren F1 driving in Sydney, passed me...quick. One of those things you don't forget in a lifetime! I wouldn't have the slightest clue whose it was, how it got here/was registered etc etc. But I don't think 2 of them got smashed! I do see some NZ megacars (Rolls etc) get around, still with kiwi plates on- maybe there is some kind of strange rule about that? Anyways, back on topic to please Chuckie... Do a search, I swear someone asked the same question. Isn't it either the through the wheel arch/plastic or remove the air box method? Would it be easyier of you removed the Front bar? someone said thats about a 5min job
  2. ah one of the many silly ADR's... just like mirrors, fuel fillers etc etc... It seems Australia knows best for everything, and the rest of the world are wrong with everything.
  3. +1 mine has it. Funny thing is the place where I bought it had "no idea" how it worked... lol. cops Arse, I bet they did. However, it took my Mrs to figure out how to use it! I couldn't make it work! I can now start, can sometimes turn off. Aaron, have you figured how to unlock the car with it? When the car is started with the remote, and you unlock with the Fob thing, the car will shut off when you open a door or boot. is there any way to unlock using the remote start so the car keeps running, and you don't have to re-start? (lol- p.i.g.s = cops in SAU world...)
  4. Saw Spoolin this morning getting on the F3. Love the stance on that car. Finally I get to spot a SAU'er!
  5. Re the first pic, I'd say something to do with the media unit in your car? maybe a switch that means the TV doesn't cut out when driving/moving (if you have TV)?
  6. Your just lucky it was on time, and didn't drive straight past you Once it gets across the border, there is no hope...
  7. Yeah I talked to them when I got mine about the turbo/non turbo thing. The answer was pretty much, it don't matter squat. We'll base it off the AR-X which is in the system. Which would seriously suck if you some how had a 2.5 non turbo... (not that its possible here)
  8. Silver NM35 Axis around Sylvania today, parked up. Looked cared for
  9. Hey, We have essentially the same car. What I find with mine is that the Mrs drives a relatively short distance to work - 10/15 mins each way. This gets the engine to operating temp ( I don't know about gearbox diffs etc) only just. So a lot of time is spent on rich mixture- getting about 450 from a tank. Now, If I take the car for a spin, or we do a longer run, the consumption drops drastically. like in the 10km/L driving up old pac giving it some stick. 12'skm/L on the computer on the F3. I have also had mine on a AWD Dyno. Yes it does run rich (unfortunately I had 95 in it at the time, So i will do it with 98 sometime in the future) somewhere in the range of 11.5AFR at full noise, and about 12.9 was the leanest it saw throughout the whole range. What that says is yes, benefits in both power and economy can be made from some tuning. But you'd want to go with someone who is experienced. Other than that- buy a prius and save the planet
  10. Thats the one! Must have been confused. I knew it did something with the mirrors
  11. yep both of the above...actually no. its the auto mirror folding... so when you lock the car, it folds the mirrors, or doesn't fold the mirrors. Thats what it does in mine I have a S2 M35 Stagea... same interior.
  12. I was like wtf? so cheap! Then I saw Adelaide This is what happens when you live in Sydney. Yes areas do make a massive difference to Premiums. I have 3rd party on my shopping trolley, moved one suburb over (diff postcode) and they wanted to charge me +$100. I had to argue over the phone, that it doesn't make sense as you can drive the car friggin anywhere... Aparently drivers one suburb over are more dangerous Canceled the policy for a cheaper one 3 days later.
  13. Freeway Dolphin Looks like it has the rear wing too
  14. I'm in! Wagon + handling = awesome! Bump
  15. Pft... turbo. Who needs one of them 206kw = 206kw and I have engine response not lag.
  16. Yeah, its a good pick up. can't be many in Aus. post some pics once fitted, should look great. Once I get wheels, I'll have a silly looking tall car. I hope you can live with yourself....
  17. @ Maxima and Fiat power... If they turn up... i'm bringing the '91 323 sedan.... Actually, I'll bring the Stagea. I'm talking silly talk! Can't this Thurs night, going to Gorillaz
  18. bugger. wish I saw this a little while ago. Pity they had to go to a Mexican
  19. the one with the most CCA, that will fit in the hole? I don't know. Of all the batteries I've had, they all seemed to give out at different times, not in line with any quality / price. Obviously things like Gel and other fancy batteries might last longer. Kmart, get the terminals the right way round and the most CCA, and bobs your whatever. Just get it done cause it will die at the worst time possible
  20. Not a Stagea, but saw and followed a white Mitsu Legnum Wagon up the F3 today... explained to the Mrs it was the nemesis! (they have a worse name than Stagea!)
  21. Hey all, Sorry if this is a re-post, but I stumbled on this today. Russian M35 wheel collection Shows what some of the guys in Russia are doing style-wise. Some good, some bad. Enjoy- something different.
  22. defiantly blocked... Buy them by all means, but will they sit any further out?
  23. FYI, should be around the $300 mark at a Nissan dealer, thats including fluids. Thats what I was quoted. I will be getting mine done at some stage, but its not that dirty atm.
  24. Silver NM35 ARX, Rosebery, south sydney about 415 this arvo. BTK.. or something, anyone on here?
  25. I know you like them, but you really should look at some wheels with proper widths / offsets. They don't have to be as expensive as you might think. I think spacers are a temp solution. That being said, I bet there are heaps of SAU people who run them for ages, and haven't had a problem. I think you want "hub centric"? is that right? The otherones are cheap and nasty and will make your wheels fall off your car... promise.
