  2. Hey mate, From what I've HEARD NA skylines are the slowest things on the road. So it all depends on what your looking for in a car. As for moding it I've also HEARD it's illegal to do any modifications while on your ps, ofcoarse everyone does but maybe something to look up seeing as you like your money in your wallet as you've said smart man. As for buying a 34 Gtr, i myself owned a 3000 dollar camry since I was 16, I'm now 20 and got my skyline 4ish months ago when I got my blacks. And the '88 camry may have let me down once with a dead battery hah. So having a small car although is very boring, can save you alot of money, you can park it anywhere, treat it like crap as a fee times the camrys oil has run DRY haha. So it depends on what you can afford and at the end of they day what you'll be happy with. If you buy a skyline now opposed to a run around you may not be able to afford a Gtr because of petrol or mods or theft. But what ever you get do what Terry said above come to events and learn how to drive, it's helped me alot so far and is so much Fun! I hope this made sense, I just woke up hah. Jarrad.
  3. Thanks dude
  4. The guys said they had Facebook, does anyone know what it's called? Or how to find it?
  5. Haha so was it worth it?? I think it was!!!! Tha ks alot for everyone who put in time for tonight and hope to see many more to come. Probly looking at buying Tyres with some spare cha ge. Better not go to to many tech nights or I'll turn my car I to a rocket without still learning how to drive it!! Ah well hopefully these Tyres will aid that
  6. Hmm righteo fellas thanks for the tip. I think I'll get a quote and see how much they charge me. If it's not to much I'll hand it to them If its to much I'll do it myself for sure.

    Help!

Hey dude if you live in the Wollongong region I can let you borrow my stock cat back. And even dump/front pipe if your really keen I live at shellcove, just give me a pm if your keen. Saves you buying or paying for a loan.
  10. Ahk, hmm I may have to do that then Thanks
  11. Those three hoses I mentioned were T'd together and no hoses were connected to the standard solenoid. Well I'm not sure I only have the stock boost gauge, but it felt like 7psi all the time. I was told it'd run like stock if Bo power is connected, then I Hooked power up and it's since been maximum boost. I just read the solenoid is mounted upside down which gravity could be causing it to be closing. I'll try swapping it tonight.
  12. Hey guys, So I bought my gtt about 6 months ago and recently bought a boost controller for it. Me and the guy I bought it off hook up the hoses and while doin that found the turbo, actuator and BOV return Were all T'd together, the guy helping me said this would cut out my two stage boost, meaning I have 7psi all the time I stead of 4 then 7.. So we blocked the BOV return And put the turbo and actuator hose through the hks evc solenoid. So I drove home like that with no electronics and was goin to hook that up at home(it felt sluggish on the way home, suspecting because now it has the 2 stage boost). Hooked it up went for a spin and it was completely different, it took off!!. I read off the monitor 145 kpa!!!! So I unplugged the ebc and ran it how I did all the way home, still overboosting! Not sure what has changed since plugging in the electronics but it hasn't liked it. I then put the hoses to how it was before we touched it, felt the same as before we did anything. Then connected the turbo outlet to the actuator and it felt the same when I drove it home, little sluggish. Since then I've opened the solenoid up to see if the plunger was stuck. It wasn't, moved nice and freely. So that is my experience so far. Question 1: why were those three hoses T'd together?? Is it to get a steady 7psi boost?? Question 2: could my actuator be on the way out and that's why I'm not using a solenoid in the first place?? Question 3: seeing as it works without the solenoid would you guy think that's the problem I'm having?? Any advice or answers will be greatly appreciated, Jarrad.
  13. Hey guys, So I have a 2000 model gtt imported from japan in 06 I think it was. The paint is in bad shape. It looks fine to my eye but when you run your hand over the roof it feels close to fine sand paper (even after a polish). Not good at all! The doors and bonnet arent as bad but still aren't as good as I'd like. It also has a few spots of imperfections, as in scratches and smudge things that auto gylm polish wont get it out . So it needs a cut! I'm not confident on doing it myself, because ive never done it and don't want to experiment on my skyline. So I figure next time I want it polished I'll take it to a detailer. Just wondering if I'd be better off getting one of those clear coats, and wondering what that involves, would it get cut the sprayed or just sprayed over the old paint?? Do you guys think this would be the best way to go??
