I'd just go to one and just ask the question, go to a prominent one in the city if possible. If your paying the money, you may as well get one that knows what he/she is talking about.

You can do it every 12 months after a successful appeal. I'm fairly sure they dont take into your previous convictions either, so if you wait another 5 months you can reappeal and probably get another good behavior.. or take the 6 months on the chin and get your full licence back. I'm not sure about the 5 year ruling, maybe if you had an unsuccessful appeal?

I'm pretty sure someone already said it, you can only appeal once every 12 months.
