  1. Should post your pix on here of what I printed for ya. Any one ever need any vinyl decals etc, can do just bout anything.
  2. Some very good advice. It's one thing to get to the speed limit before people blink, another to speed and lose your money, or maybe lisence and car..
  3. Car is supposedly fine now (I'll know when drive home) They found a hairline crack on one the sparkies. They said when removed em they were a bit tight, and they musta accidently cracked one. He replaced it with the same sparkie, match the gaps and it runs perfect again. He was hugely apologetic, he even dropped the car off to ME at my work on the other side of Mitchell. I'd still recommend their shop for work - Performance Automotive Repairs - Mitchell.
  4. and and eh? I got your point. Got the left side out, but not the right(btw this was after undoing the actual bolts on the front Need to put a bolt in for bottom right hand part of the back rest, it appears to be missing.. I'll give it another shot tonight or monday.
  5. Ah yep cool. I have some stock parts. Stock clutch and flywheel, intercooler, 4 of the 6 coils (he didn't find the other 2 some how, but if does will get them to me), turbo to cat parts of exhaust, a bunch of random nuts and bolts, and a couple of other bits of piping. Tires are a bit of a nightmare though lol, I guess so very much worth it, but OUCH on the wallet. And why must they make the rear seats so hard to remove to do work, seriously *sighs* I gave up last night, but will look again later (wanted to start sorting sterio related stuff). Currently the car is back with Premier Automotive. In theory I'll get it back today running properly again.
  6. Hopefully not, cos if I'll be schitting myself, I found out it's running the blue spitfires. Also supposedly running the iridium sparkies, worth $22 each or something stupid - and a 0.75mm gap rather than 8mm... Going by what I was told any way. I'm sure all this is helping explain the 220rwkw. BTW I looked at some of the papers I got, it's running 6psi and 11psi, not 7 and 12. But either way
  7. I have one pending problem that discovered this arvo when collected the car back from the mechanics... They'd not hooked something back right and now it's misfiring.. So gotta take it back and make em fix it in the morning... Damn bastards. This is why I don't like going to mechanics. We had a really good look and can't find anything, so gonna have to get em to strip it back to the plugs like did today for the compression check, and they better have it sorted for me. I'm so pissed off.
  8. Will see if can, if not this week, next for sure. What time do you guys meet there though?
  9. Thing is, this one has the S1 front grill, and lights, S2 rear lights etc, but S1 Grey bar with SKYLINE on the back. Thats all I really knew for sure. It has NO abs nor does it have either drivers or passengers airbags. Not sure if actually is S2 engine or not (turbo, coils etc)..
  10. Hey, can you guys help me better understand the differences between S1, S2 and S1.5 cos this is a S1.5 and has elements of both together. I read the thread on the differences between S1 and S2, but still bit lost.
  11. NP, I don't want to be thought of as a fool or irresponsible or get myself banned for something coming across wrong. yeah I think so... might just be wiring, not at all sure.. Just gotta take a look and fiddle and see if can sort em out, asap. Least those fixes won't cost me a fortune. Oh they did note "Advise: exhaust height at 100mm". Rear exhaust as it curves under the rear axle it sits at at 100mm, long as as I don't put to fat bastards in the back it's all good. Plus the suspension is stiff enough any way.
  12. I've been making a few posts here and there, but now that have finalized the purchase of my Skyline, I thought it's a good time to introduce myself. My name is Jason, and I'm in Canberra. Just purchased a black 1996 r33 series 1.5. Keen to keep talking to people, get tips and advice regarding skylines and learn as much of the ins and outs of my new car. Those in Canberra, I'm keen to meet up at some point.
  13. EDIT: Ok pending pass, i gotta fix numberplate lights and wing light. It may just we wiring. I'll get somebody I know to take a look monday. Simple enough fixes. Took it to : Premier Automotive Repairs, 5 Winchcombe Lane, Mitchell - 62428450 Great guys there. They replaced one of my wheel studs that was stripped on my Pulsar also.
  14. Getting the car tonight. Compression check, spot on. Rego check - PASS! I put the stock rims on, and all was fine. Number plate lights are out, and so is the wing light, but it was passed - just was told to fix those - as they are things I'd get booked for if drove it like that. So now can somebody tell me how to fix/replace the lights for the wing...?
  15. I never once said I did that on public roads. That's just stupid and irresponsible.
  16. Sorry yeah you did answer my Q. I meant more what is the deal with solving the issue. Kinda sux cos means speedo's top out, even my current pulsar reads up past 200.. And has done so.
  17. Oh, yeah, and whats the deal with the Speed limiting at 180? Is that easily fixable, or possibly something already fixed among the already performed mods?
  18. Haha, yeah thanks guys - I may someday, but prob not ever gonna race it. I love the power it has, but love the look and the feel of the car too. I wanna look after it well and keep it lasting me a while. It's also gonna be my daily driver. Admittedly I work 10mins from home, and don't gotta travel far round town normally, but I intend to keep this baby for a good few years.
  19. Sounds like you are talking bout a fully sic v-tec - However I get what you mean
  20. I thought that would just be where it isn't peaking more power, and decreases... It has to happen somewhere right?.... I'm not all that sure why... (not like I need the power over 150kmh myself as I'll only be driving on streets...) I'd say the car has been custom tuned, it was well loved and looked after, driven fairly minimally and appears to have no issues that I could find - however to be safe having the mechanical look over, compression test and rego check being performed before more than a deposit is laid down.
  21. Yeh I have no knowledge how the AFR's should be, thus why posted it for comments. Things can be retuned a bit later any way. The car was smooth, and neat, the power was consistent and with 10" of rubber on the rears it held neatly (I have the stocks rims at home now though - the fronts of the rims on the car are a bit scrubbed on the inside, needs a good alignment and balance done).
  22. Ahhh rightio (Always keen to learn what I can!). I recall the guy saying something bout they also just look like a standard ecu, but with nice retuning?
  23. What do you mean "untuned"?
