  1. Yeah man, loving auto cause I drive around the city quite often. had my mate pay me out cause he's on manual so I took the m4 during peak hours and he cracked the shits haha.
  2. what are handbrake shoes? and I JUST REALISED i spelled Breaks wrong and one stupid question, what are those tools that you use to remove socket nuts? like the one pictured below: I got a socket set, but obviously two female sockets dont work.
  3. also squeaks on flat surface so I doubt it's my shocks.
  4. It's mainly low speed like 20 kms when it starts squeaking. I assume it's break pads but I'm in doubt since when I let my breaks go and roll slow, it squeaks. Light breaking + rolling wheels = constant squeak until stop "eeeeeeeeeeeeeek" Idle rolling = umm.... "eek eek eek eek" squeak? not "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek"
  5. guize, i put leds on my car (inside). i think im super awesome now. No really, I did. - except for the awesome part. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/405205-my-34-interior-led-mod/
  6. hey guys, just installed on my R34 quite an amount of LED's and I'd thought to share. Don't have a full build log for it since I wasn't too bothered taking hundreds of photos. Bit of background on myself, I'm a PC modder and played with LED's, wiring etc and put my skills and experience with that into my car. This is a full custom and properly done job with heatshrinks, cable ties etc. perhaps the best I've done with lights. I was going to do a log, but wasn't too bothered after a few pics. Now before anyone starts to flame me about being gay or homo or what not, I did this for visibility in the foot wells and not so visible areas during night. But it looks nice anyway and I like it. Strips of white LED's, car charger plugs, switches. Soldering one LED strip to test out. Soldered wires to one of two toggle switches I picked up at JayCar. Drilled holes to suit the switches in the cover under the steering wheel. Added carbon fibre missile switch for extra awesomeness. Driver foot well LED. Passenger & rear foot well LED. Upgraded gear selector back lights. GUIZE THIS IS AUTO? Yes it is, and I like my auto. Carbon Fibre Style missile switch. Installed two LED's to center console/armrest. 48 LED strip in boot. This mod costed me just under $100 sourcing all parts and what I already had. LED strips: Local guy who sells it on eBay, PM me if you are interested. Cigarette lighter plug, switches, missile switch cover, resistors: JayCar
  7. hey guys, my wheels started to squeak recently and it's taking the piss out of me. I've found a few ways to fix it without taking things apart like heating it up by hard breaking but all have failed to stop the noise. besides changing break pads, what else could contribute to squeaking?

  17. to my knowledge, a GTR front bar would be different fit to a GTT. I think you need to do a conversion. what kit do you have on it now? standard or the Altia/Nismo kit?
  18. Apparently there is somewhere in the non-existing universe before ours. I too was trying to find a proper intro thread that I saw in a sticky that said "New To SAU? Intro here [LINK]". When I clicked on the link it was not found. Perhaps admin should make another for forum wide and in each state, a state intro thread too.

  25. Try rubbing alcohol or even bit of petrol. Petrol itself should do the job. If not, I don't recommend this but Acetone or nail polish remover will take it straight off. The only downside to acetone is that it will eat into the plastic. You can quickly and gently put a few drops of acetone on a cotton wool or towel or tissue, have another soaked with just water and once you wipe it with the acetone, immediately wipe it over with the water to dilute and stop it from eating in. Just another thought that popped in my mind, try use a whiteboard marker and colour over the permanent. That's what I did to get rid of permanent markers in school white boards Let me know how you go!
