  1. as long as the r33 was insured he wont have to worry. his insurance company will recover the money themselves.
  2. nah it gives them plenty of opportunity to get footage of cars doing stuff at the track so they can pretend it happened on the street.
  3. i did hear an ad on nova
  4. mine arrived today... the coolant bottle i paid for... along with a window washer bottle (with motors) and what looks like an interior light... interesting

one guy i know ran 18psi all the time for about 6 months without any problems... but i wouldnt recommend it you can pick up a stock turbo for 250-300 these days so it depends how tight your cash is
  6. and theres really no need to threaten us. ps. my pit bull eagerly awaits your visit, he could do with a new toy
  7. noble bum: as i said to you in pm, you told me on the 31/08/05 that you had sent the item that day. yesterday you then abused me for posting in this thread and told me the item was sent off last friday. forgive me for remaining a sceptic until im holding it in my hands.
  8. i would recommend going to a good place (wheels world or wilkinsons) for an alignment. similar price, big difference.

  10. they wont do it mobile but hyperdrive will check it out for you for a small fee. might cost more than Alf down at the caltex on the corner but its worth it for honesty and expertise.
  11. i took out my middle muffler and it just made it sound a little beefier. no droning it all. my rear isnt a cannon though.
  12. i never said all riders are angels riders do some insanely stupid stuff but thats their choice and generally they only hurt themselves. the truth is the majority of serious bike accidents are caused by other drivers' mistakes. FYI lane splitting is legal (and fairly safe) if its done properly. that is the traffic is not moving and the centre line isnt crossed without indicating. if the traffic isnt moving people cant change lanes. they can open their doors which happens but fault there is debatable and doesnt do much if the bike is going slowly which it should be. the maniacs who do 100kmh through moving traffic down the freeway are definitely deserving of the "temporary australian" title.
  13. back when i was getting riding lessons i used to pass this cross walk attendant outside a school almost every time. NEVER speeding but he would always stand half out on the road motioning me to slow down. really pissed me off but i limited myself to smiling and shaking my head at an obviously sad and bitter old man.
  14. try riding a motorbike on perth roads. when its your skin not just panel work on the line you really understand how shit perth drivers are. i also dont like that attitude of "sometimes i make mistakes so meh" because you getting distracted by the chick in lycra can easily result in a trip to the emergency room for me. you take the responsibility of controlling a big lump of metal so you need to devote your attention to that. its not just a case of "oops didnt see you terribly sorry". im not saying mistakes are unacceptable but some of you dont seem to realise the importance that comes with the consequences.

  17. you dont even need a scary dog. dogs will wake up from the slightest noise out of the ordinary. my dog will sleep through a whole morning of me getting ready for work but if theres a tap in the middle of the night hes 100% alert and working out what made it. when they get tense it tends to wake you up as well. hes also built like a mack truck and has jaws like a bear trap, which helps.
  18. it all depends on your plans for after school. but as someone said, really important to enjoy those two years, especially year 12. you will look back a few years later and realise how much your life has changed and it will never be like that again.
  19. get a dog. this stuff wont happen (probably) if you have a nasty piece of work roaming the house.
  20. look out though, the government will take 10% of your power with an R33 GST
  21. well actually we claimed through RAC and they were very good. we had problems with the panel beater doing a shocking job, RAC took the car and said they would take it back to the panel beater and we wouldnt see it again until it was done properly. they had the entire front end redone for us and apologised profusely. my car was written off by a guy who was insured with RAC and i didnt have full comp many moons ago. they undervalued my car initially but i pled a reasonable case to them with ads from the paper etc and they accepted and paid me $9000 instead of $7500. also with just car they have changed their pricing. they no longer work out NCB from years of claim free insurance, but just years of claim free driving. this saved me $700 this year as my insurance was under my parents name.
  22. only one way to find out...
  23. call hyperdrive and speak to them about it.
  24. www.tkotinting.com probably the most well known and recommended. give him a call and he'll help ya with everything.
  25. perth performance car club is another good club for some motorsport. ppcc hold regular events that have so far been at the AHG centre doing skid pan and the track. most of us are starting out so the idea is to try a club day at collie and wanneroo etc as we get the numbers. we have a wet skidpan day coming up at AHG. if you are keen send me a pm and see if we can secure a spot for you. the more motorsport oriented members we get the more motorsport we can do edit: the website is www.perthperformance.com, check out the forums.
