  1. that was the family fun park or something wasnt it?
  2. Congrats to everyone, should make for a good year with some fresh faces putting in some great input!
  3. I was thinking the same thing when it was sitting next to my car on the pier. Now even looking into Work XD9 rims....very nice ride indeed Shane!
  4. the overnight stay and second day went great! fair bit or roadworks the other side of Lavers Hill, but fun day all the same! We tried to go to the Cape Otway Lighthouse....but with an entry fee of $12.50 each, we decided to give that the flick! Stopped at the Apostles for some photos etc... then Lunch in Port Campbell, back through Colac & Geelong. thanks to everyone involved with organising the event....once again an awesome job. I didnt take many photo's, but heaps of people were...so keep watching this thread. thanks again...3rd year in a row ive done the 2 day cruise, will be back next year again for sure!
  5. it really is a worthwhile mod, as CEF11E has noticed, makes the car more resopnsive an boost up earlier. definatly feels faster and more fun to drive
  6. PAID & confirmation email sent. thanks Adz any chance of getting my new card on the cruise this weekend instead of it being posted?
  7. wow.....just realised...im not on the list, but my card says it expires today. going to net bank to pay now. Cheers
  8. yes same dyno same tuner. the 248kw I got at autosalon a while back. the last time it was on the same dyno it only got 236kw....thats the red line one the graph for comparison. red line - before blue line - after. I have no idea what the AT an IT means?? or how it relates? As for the car, yes it definatly feels faster (has more power). Comes on boost around 500rpm earlier than before. No i havent taken it to the strip....I only got it tuned 2 days ago. but i will. My fastest prevoius time was 12.8 on street tyres (255/50/R16 M/T radials), that was with a 2.2 60ft an 113mph from memory. (only ever been to the 2 SAU drag days at hethcote park)
  9. all my mods are mentioned in the first post. engine is entirely stock & has never been pulled apart. stock bottom end, stock head & head gaskit, stock cams, stock maifolds etc etc.... to be honest....with the cam setting, i've just read through the forums and found that most people got the best results with it set -4degrees, but i was basically trying to achieve better low-mid range power, it also brought top end power which is a bonus. the changes made on the dyno were both fuel & spark(timing) to suit essentually the new exhaust cam set up.
  10. I fitted the ex cam and set it to -4degrees myself. then took it an got it tuned on a dyno a few days later. so yeah....worked for me sIIgtst: its a hi-flow from AVO turbos. Fitted it a few years ago.
  11. thanks guys. Im really happy with how its all worked. car is much more fun to drive as its more responsive now, power comes on earlier. happy for this thread to be moved to the section more relevant.
  12. thanks mate! No real plans for further power. more power = bigger turbo & engine bottomend rebuild to cope = expensive just hunting down some nice rims now an thats about it just having fun with it this year, few deca days track day & drift training days.... by tunable i mean aftermarket. I run a microtech LTS-12
  13. the rims with tyres cost me $2300. so hoping around that mark somewhere.
  14. he seems to have removed em...... heres a link from the previous page of this thread of the pic he gave me of them before they arrived here. Racing Hart CR pics pretty small ill get off my lazy ass one day an take a photo
  15. VTC is still there (just not in the photo). Its more resposive than its ever been now 1) No. Maxed out my stock ones at 220kw...so got bigger. Only $20 difference btw 550 & 840 so I just chose the bigger because I know there a pain to change an now i'll never have to do it again 2) the turbo can be pushed to about 22psi safely....but my head gasket can cope with that as its still stock. 3) most people say at about 280-300kw is where you should be looking into forged pistons (even though the stock ones are forged) and better rods (most people use linished GTR rod) aswel as re-tuning the car to suit Yeah, I was over the moon! my tuner cant believe the power my car makes with stock engine an small turbo. Its averaging around 12.5 A/F ratio under load too which is still a safe tune. could get more if i leaned it off an ran more boost....but i dont want to. Maybe for a few runs on the Dyno at Autosalon to impress...hehe
  16. Last friday I installed a Gates Racing timing belt, new idler& tensioner pulleys (and idler pulley bolt), aswel as a new Tomei adjustable exhaust cam gear (now set at 4degrees retarded). Had the car re-tuned today to suit the new adjustment. Last dyno run made 248kw now makes 260kw im stoked with the result! power comes on earlier, smother, and with a touch less boost (17 psi rather than 18). All my runs are on BP ultimate 98 octain fuel. the cars basics: Stock engine pod filter FMIC AVO hi-flow turbo big injectors big fuel pump adj fuel reg microtech ecu turbo back 80mm zaust & hiflow cat cheers Berin

  18. Ive got em at the moment Ash. I probably wont be able to get em back to Aaron for a few weeks. I'll take some pics of them an post them up. There pictured on the Rampant website under the "sold" section
  19. any ideas on great set of rims? Ideally I want Volk GT-N or Blitz Technospeed Z1 Still like Volk GT-C's, maybe Racing Hart CXR or C4R's. I've been searching through Yahoo auctions for ages an so far havent come up with much.
  20. the rims were 18x8 fronts and 18x9 rears with +28 offset. Which will fit a skyline depending on spoke design, these particular rims have very flat spokes, which I think means the X measurement isnt right for my car (hub surface to spoke surface distance) so if anyone wants some cool rims for there 31...reckon these would be sweet (Racing Hart CR, about 1.5 inch dish front about 2.5inch dish rears, multi stud 4 & 5 x 114.3) cheers CRACK: the rims in the powerplay link you put up are identical to what I have sitting in the shed. I'd say the rears are exactly the same with nice dish, but the fronts on the one in your link have nealy no dish compared to what I have here. Not interested in no dish......must have DISH
  21. Very Cool....yes......fit......no..... unfortunatly the offsets on the Racing Harts arn't right for the skyline an hit the front calipers (would need a 8-10mm spacer). So im back to looking for some rims unfortunatly. Aaron already said I could trade for something else he has if I like or will search down something particular for me if need be. Dissapointing for now....but in the end i'll still end up with nice new shoes.
  22. nice shinny new car Joel...look forward to see it darting through hats a deca
  23. No GTR bonnets are 20mm longer than the gts-t and have different latch set-up the series 3 bar will fit a gts-t with a bit of modding, I have one on mine
  24. might be interested depending on the cash adjustment Pav, I know you've probably got 1001 PM's as these are a very popular quick selling item. My stuff is all in good nick, 80% pads left on fronts 90% pads left on rear. Rear rotors are DBA slotted. I can do the swap & bleed up your brake system for ya if need be? you can just watch an sink cans ...lol
