Anyone have a pic of a 33 gts-t with Racing Hart CR 18inch rims on it? preferably a white 33. Very seroiusly considering getting some of these within a week. Just would like to see a set on a car similar to mine? this is a link that has the rims and a very poor attempt at me putting them on my car using the pait program. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...52880&st=40 what you guys think? good or bad? cheers
-
heres some pics of them on my ride
-
new rims coming soon, these need to go..
-
thanks for the links...but 2 of those are 17's, im after 18's, and the 18's in the last link are in Bris and not really my kind of style rim.
-
hehe, yeah they are mighty fine rims! although I dont think the chrome would suit a white car. Im pretty keen on these Racing Hart CR's im lookin at....what you guys think? second pic is the rims.....first is my very poor attempt at puttin them on my car using paint....but you get the jist...

R34 Gtr Rear Brace Onto R34 Gtt?
abcent replied to Bass Junky's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
not that I can anything technical to this, but this is a popular addition to the 33 gts-t's. I bought a set of front & rear Cusco braces for my 33, already had a front one fitted previously an at the time thought it'd be a good upgrade to have both? I can honestly say that I notice no difference in having the rear brace fitted. Maybe if I was looking for that .001 sec quicker time round Phillip Island I might? (will have to try i guess ) as mentioned in previous threads (the B pillar one for eg) maybe if the brace was triangular in shape it would offer more rigidity? If the brace went from tower to tower and also had 2 more bars from each tower meeting at a central point on the boot floor creating a triangle, it may offer more noticable results? my 2 cents, Cheers -
Anyone Used Kuhmo Ku31 Tyres Before?
abcent replied to abcent's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
thanks Bass, thats the feedback I was looking for thanks(yours, not so much the poms, read that a little...i got the jist). after finding out prices on a few other brands etc, I still think these will be of best value. So if the set of 18's Im looking for end up being without tyres, this will be the way I go. Might even throm some 255s on my 17's for now.....as the BF Goodrich ones that are on there suck! (high noise, low grip in all conditions = S#!t) cheers -
yeah I now know the URAS rims dont come in 18 inch. So I can strike that off the list, I already have 2 sets of 17's, I dont need a 3rd, thats why im selling one set of my 17's. so then i'll be back to having a good set of track 17's, and a set of road 18's (once i buy em)...an thats it. thanks for the link Satanic, while i'd be happy with 9.5 width on the rear of my gts-t, not keen on 9.5 width fronts. I'd prefer the "just bolt on" option...no hassle

Just wondering if anyone is running Kuhmo KU31 tyres on there car and if they had any feedback? I've been looking round for some decent yet relitively cheap tyres. I dont want 'el-chepo' no nale brand tyres that are going to be stuffed in 20,000kms, but I also dont want to spend over $300 a tyre on a big brand name that will probably only last 30,000kms. so far in my price range are: Kuhmo KU31 and Hankook H422 never used Hankook before, I have use Kuhmo's in the past and found them quite good. Once I have the new tyres fitted they may be used for a few track days in the future? but mainly street driving. the sizes im after are 235/40/R18 fronts and 265/35/R18 rears not interested in Federals, or Falkens, or Toyos....have used all these previously (in 16 & 17 inch sizes)and obviously wasnt impressed otherwise id be getting them again. also does anyone know what the minimum load rating for a tyre is on an R33 gts-t? I have a feeling its 87 but not too sure. Reason I ask is a few tyres in the second size im after have a load index of 87. any feedback appretiated Cheers Berin

Need Help With Stiff Ride
abcent replied to PeNT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
easyest way to get a softer ride is to get new springs put in with a softer rate. Someone like your local Pedders should be able to figure out what your after if you talk to them for a bit and show them the car. new springs if there just the standard type in there shouldnt cost too much, id have a stab in saying about $400-500 fitted? If there height adjustable coilovers, to change the springs in those (small type spring) id be guessing more around the $800-$1000 fitted for some custom King Springs or something? if you could post a pic of the actual coilovers it'd better help people to give you the right advise? unfortunatly most Jap aftermarket coilovers are fairly stiff, great for handling, but yeah...not so much for street cruising. -
no one wants a cheap set of second rims for track use/drifting... taking up room in my shed...need em gone
-
anyone able to photoshop the URAS silver rims onto my ride?
-
plenty of interest, people still thinking.......
-
yeah the TE37's are a classic. Very cool rim. I want something a little different. an they'd end up costing around $3700 with decent new tyres.....which is over my budget.
-
up again
-
the genuine Bee-R rims are cool, and a decent price too at $499 each brand new. But i think 9.5inch rims might be a bit wide for the front of a gts-t with stock guards. (they only come in that width in 18's)
-
Uras, Drifteks, Bee-R, Nismo's....what ever they are...where can you buy a set? I'd like to know what sort of price id be up for

Skyline Gear
abcent replied to STREET DREAMZ's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
yeah my best mate has one in his 33, also came with it in it. Very nice wheel, his is plain black. SeriesII: I'm guessing he just has a secondhand black one and the pic is just to give you an idea of what it looks like. They didnt make airbag wheels. They are pretty rare, and a cool wheel. But I tend to agree its a bit of a high price. It'd have to be in AS NEW/never used condition. best of luck with the sale -
Price drop.....$800
-
thats a really neat looking 33! I like the rims, where would I look for these? I have the same questions as 'foznice' an yeah James, I do like SA70's, I was looking into a set for $1800 delivered to my door that were 8 fronts an 9 rears...but still dunno. right now im trying to find a set of Volk GT-N...with no luck...but as mentioned, I'm not really sure where to look. Aaron has been a great help in that department! He's pretty confident he can find whatever I'm after for the budget I have. Still need to sell the 17's I recently bought too...no one seems keen though....anyone PM me if you want some good WORK 2 piece 17s....
-
surely somebody wants them
-
yeah thats what I've found so far...looks almost like problem solved
