  1. no-one's ever used Motul brake fluid before?
  2. soo many cars...if I never hear VL turb dose flutter again it'll be too soon... they were goin off every 2 seconds, weather we we're parked at GMH or cruising down the highway... was a huge turnout, I'm sure brocky would have felt pretty special seeing all the support for him. only downside was the typical "who got the bigger dick" burnouts and the average looking tiny "brocky" stickers. hope all went well for the second half of the cruise, as I decided to head to sandown for the arvo.
  3. no u prob wont take it but if u get desperate ill give u $1500 for the complete motor
  4. thanks for the info SK, might find some garbage bags to put em in an leave them in the shed. There not on rims right now as I'm painting em, but when I put them back on i'll put in 15psi an go from there. Cheers
  5. Today I bought a pair of secondhand 225/50/R16 Micky Thompson street drag radials on AVS rims for $152.50. (only seen 5 passes) I was wondering how I should store them between use? I dont go to the drag strip very often, maybe 3 times a year for a bit of fun..... STORAGE 1: I've heard that its ok to leave them on the rims, but shouldnt be inflated? 2: is there anyway to prolong their shelf life (wraping in plastic?)? do the "go bad" so to speak, over time? USE 1: when I re-inflate them for the strip, what pressure should be run in these tyres? 2: will these need decent burnout to get them up to temp? or a minimal one be fine? any other info welcomed Cheers Berin
  6. Just a qiuck few questions: 1: What colour is the Motul SBF600 fluid? 2: how much will I need for a fluid flush? 3: anywhere I can get it cheaper than $30 per 500ml bottle (Autobarn price) cheers Berin
  7. I just bought a secondhand pair of these on AVS5 rims on Sunday, cant wait so hit the strip with em! I've seen heaps of great times run with these, technically still a street tyre too Best of luck with the sale!
  8. are the WRX boy's coming along to this?
  9. any idea when this cruise will wind up? stopping anywhere for lunch? or is it just a morning thing?
  10. I assume these are 17" rims? you given widths, offsets, tyre width...but not rim diameter??
  11. i'll be there, trying to get a some clubs from Geelong to join me.

  13. Top work as usual Joel!! Awsome pics! thanks for all your effort (although not enough of me sideways , but I'm pretty picky)
  14. i'd think that by "special mods" they'd mean softer spring rates? You can get softer rate springs for em through RSR i think? so chances are they buy the Tein's minus springs, buy RSR springs, an presto...."aussie modded" Teins. I thought about doing this after initally installing by jap Teins, but using the car for a few more motorsport events recently, and glad I didnt. Also Teins dont come with any upper mounts (not for that price anyway), so they'd be re-using yours, in which case you may wanna put new bushes in there....more $$$ Being that TEIN's have 16 step dampen adjustment, I cant see them modifying the actual shock it self, there'd be no point.
  15. yeah thats pretty cheap, we do em for $26 per rotor, but add to that half our labour if your not getting pads done at the same time. through my work you get Ferodo Excel pads (bendix advance equivelant) with rotors machined, all fitted an done for $201 just to give you a reference
  16. What a week.....RIP Brockey!!! definatly a sad day for Australian Motorsport fans, even World fans, he was rated 3rd best touring car driver world wide just a year or 2 ago. I will definatly be in for this cruise to pay tribute to an absolute legend!! at least he passed doing what he loved
  17. As the title suggests, I'm toying with the idea of changing my rear bar. Prefer to do it with little to no costs though. does anyone have a rear bar they'd consider trading with my Veilside one? (pictured in signature) an preferably a white one if you might be interested, let me know, show me some pics. I'm after the trail rear bar or something similar, I dont want pods, I dont want 400R rear bar either (may consider series 2 400R bar with vents?) Im located in Geelong, Vic, can organsise to come to Melb or something? not really keen on the idea of posting it anywhere...too hard. at this point still in the "thinking about it" mode.....right thing comes up an I'l give it some serious thought. Cheers Berin

  19. maybe the Ferodo DS3500? but i've heard there not very good road pads. You'd be the first i've heard that wasn't impressed with the 2500's though. Apparently Prodjuct Mu pads are good, but again, only going on what I've read around the place on here. theres RaceBrakes RB74's that alot of people use an recomend but say once over heated once there not real crash hot? check out www.nismo.com.au too, they have a few options with brake pads an different temp ranges hope this has been of some help, Cheers Berin
  20. right now I just have the harness shoulder straps into the lower rear seat belt anchor points, not ideal I know, but looks too difficult to mount in the parcel shelf securely. If I was to use the baby restraint hole, I was going to drill it out bigger for the eyelet an put a 5mm thick large square shape metal plate under the shelf to put the eyelet through. But uppon looking under the shelf,......well...not that simple, so that was abandoned. With the left lap belt anchor, I drilled a hole in the tunnel of the car directly opposite where the right belt anchors from. Put the eyelet through there, an inside the tunnel I put the eyelet through a washer (about 5mm thick an 70-80mm diameter) from the top of a strut assembly from a Ford EF Falcon. Spring washer & nylock nut an presto, strong easy inside anchor point. (after drilling hole I smeared some anit-rust grease round the hole, an once in sealed around the washer with silastic)
  21. I have TEIN HA's, jap spec ones (no Oz modifications) an I love em, they handle great an the ride isnt too overly stiff. They've never bottomed out on me, but I dont have them on lowest setting either, mine are around the same as R DIRTY 3's. what suspension you should choose depends on what your intended use is, also your budget.
  22. XD-EF Falcon stock 15"rims fit on the rear, I've had them on a few times, as has a good mate of mine with a 33.
  23. You Are 80% Evil You are very evil. And you're too evil to care. Those who love you probably also fear you. A lot. this didnt really surprise me
  24. also for that price I may aswel just get the whole kit from UAS, would be cheaper for me in the end. $325 just for the adapters is a bit steep I feel. anyone else know anywhere that has these available?
