i think new stock GTR BOV's are about $120-$150 each...cant beat that value for money! I just bought a secondhand single GTR BOV for $40 to replace the one on my RB25 as I run 18psi boost, just gotta figure out if it'll bolt straight up or if i'll need to make up some kind of adapter?

Replacement / Repair Of Vspec Diff

if you wanna know about the kaaz 1.5ways talk to Al, i think he just had his installed not that long ago. As for the Nismo 2 way, I have one, and love it sure you get a bit of diff chatter on slow tight turns...but doesnt bother me. Makes the car very predictable an controlable when traction is lost. but yeah, is a very expensive way to go, very glad mine had it fitted when I bought it 5 years ago good luck Paul -
only does it on high boost (18psi) on low (9psi) it doesnt do it. I'd certaily hope its not the turbo since its only about 1-1.5yrs old an only travelled around 4-5000km. an it doesnt flutter when boosting, only on gear changes

dont think the spring is strong enough, i get flutter...

I just purchased a second hand single GTR BOV for my RB25DET as I want to retain a plumback bov that can cope with high boost levels. Will it bolt straight up to where the old one is? or will I have to get a new pipe made up? anyone done this before? cheers Berin

even with higher fuel pressure its highly questionable that stock injectors can cope with that sort of power figures. With adj reg, microtech ecu an high volume fuel pump, my stock injectors could only just stretch 230kw....before i tossed em for bigger items

heres the first pic from the link. good luch with the sale!

time to clear out the 6 Bridgestone RE92's 205/65/R15 I have sitting in the shed, I had them to fit to my VK Calais, but just last week that was sold so I now have no need for them. They have 75-80% tread and cost $105 each to buy new $25 each Pick up from Geelong, or can organise to bring them with me to the next SAU-VIC general meeting for you to pick up from there? Will not be posting interstate. Berin [email protected] 0417 546 384

awsome rims!! if they were 9" or 10" width rears id be seriously considering taking em of your hands, but as you could imagine when spend that amount of coin on rims alone, I wanna get what I'm after. good luck with the sale!! -
looks like I'm out, wont have everything done in time.....so i'll just do DECA instead

I'm going to work on my car this weekend to hopefully get everything finished and track ready. But if I dont get it all done unfortunatly I'm out...till next round... I'll let ya know Chris is the DT just for the first part of the day? so I can go out by myself in the arvo? or for the entire day?

just a note on the advanced driver training and such....no advanced drive training can be done without first completing the DEFENSIVE driving course. I have done this course and it was a huge eye opener as to how much I didnt know on how far it actually took to pull a car up to a stop. If everyone saw and physically did this an proved to themselves what it took, they'd slow down for sure!! I improved vastly over the day, being able to stop my car as effectively as possible by the end of the day.....what scares me is the thought that the person travelling near me on the street was like I was before doing the defensive course. Under the illusion they can stop there car in a far smaller distance than the can. the relevance of all the to speeding in any conditions on the street is: The people around you more than likely ARNT educated drivers and you have zero idea as to what they'll do. If you appretiate what it takes to stop a car, then you wouldnt be street draging/racing. Only take one person not consertrating to go through a red light or intersection, and within seconds there meeting with your bonnet as you cant stop in time. my rant over...hehe Cheers

It was bought change over through AVO turbo's in Melbourne an it cost $1450 (with c/o) about 2.5 years ago, thats about all I can tell you about the hi-flow I have. It makes good power/boost btw 3500-4500rpm an pretty much nothing below. I have a microtech lts-12 ECU tuned by Daltons Automotive, might look into another tuner to have a look at it, or might consider another turbo change, but dont want to spend big bucks on another turbo ($1500 is big buck to me). as for my friend in with the stock turbo, its gonna cost $600 to reco the standard turbo or $300 for a secondhand one from the wreckers. I think he's gonna go with the secondhand one for the time being, very little cash outlay to get him by for the time being.
-
it still works fine, but oil seals are stuffed we think
-
yeah i know, just gonna give him some options. His stock turbo is fairly had it, so the the difference in cost between recoing his an an after market set up will make him get it reco'd. anyone put a 34-t turbo on a 33?
-
might look into that suggestion. would that be similar size to the standard t28 stock turbo?
-
I have a hi-flow in my 33 and its laggy as due to the larger internals. Yes it handles 18psi, yes it makes around 250kw with supporting mods, but you need to drive the car like a 2 stroke motorbike keeping in powerband. no hi-flow i've ever heard about is on full boost anywhere near 3000 - 3500, I know mine certainly isnt. So yeah, not interested in hi-flows.
-
what sort of boost you runnin paul? i guess I really just want to know is if he gets the stock turbo reco'd, is there any way of making it stronger an able to hold say 1bar boost
-
yeah thats what I was thinking, but arnt they still a little laggy? also a bit above what he's got to spend
-
I have a freind who is in need of a new turbo for his 33. He's not chasing big figures, just wants 175-190kws kinda thing. His main concern is response, wants to still be on full boost by 3500rpm or less. Can the standard turbo be re-conditioned to be able to cope with say 15-16psi reliably? is this out of the question? I've heard R34 NEO turbos are a little better, anyone tried? only interested in bigger turbo's if the will 100% hit FULL BOOST BY 3500rpm like the stock turbo. I'm too lazy to go through the gazillion pages on here about turbos....so no, I wont use the search button thanks for any help or advise Berin
