  1. Brake problem has been resolved. R33 GTS-t Fronts and R34 GT-T Rears.
  2. yeah Link doesn't work for me either. Copy pasta details in here.
  3. spotted a nice Purple R33 today near the showgrounds roundabout.
  4. Do this. lurk the for sale on here and see if you can get a 2nd hand Apexi Power FC, get it dyno tuned, then you'll be laughing. Injectors, just get brand new ones, no point stuffing around with 2nd hand ones IMO, set of 6 nismo 750cc injectors will set you back about $1k and they'll be good for heaps of power. AFM is a must if you want more than 200kw. (I think the one you want is a z32? someone confirm that) Intercooler kit - Check out Plazmaman; good gear, australian made and decent price too.
  5. Cage painted Pistons going in head going on Exciting stuff indeed
  6. could you fabricate some new sway bar linkages to move the sway bar a little bit? Honestly I've got nfi, just spitballin here.
  7. /me gets popcorn and subscribes to thread. This should be good.
  8. I've got no idea what it is, there's nothing on it to tell me wtf it is. All I know it's like a GPS and phone and DVD player and it's impossible to tune the radio on it and randomly attacks you when you change gears. I hate it. Shoot me a PM if you want it. I'll swap you your brakes for it
  9. Bump, Motorkahna at symonds and Hill climb at oonah. I strongly recommended the Hill climb, it's a tonne of fun Unfortunately I wont be going Skyline isn't quite finished yet.
  10. Yeah I use my old MotoX helmet for car racing. Just as long as it's got that silver sticker on it with the ticks. If you're after a cheap lid like a RJays or something, buying locally is probably the best option, but if you want something special I'd buy online. I'd definitely go to a shop and try some on though, a helmet that's too big wont protect you at all because your head will just be rattling around inside it. When you try it on it should be a snug fit, not scull crushingly tight but snug, as it loosens up a bit later. Different brands are different shapes too so a M in one size might be an XL in another. I used to have an XL in my RJays but now I've got a TLD and that's a M.
  11. There is another thread here by Finny who is selling lots of Rims. 18s 17s and 16s
  12. I've got a double Din touch screen headunit if you want it? Just pulled it out of my Skyline when they were putting the cage in.
  13. 17s, I'll have a chat to you after payday
  14. I went there once... Asked for a waste gate spring. Then the dude got really confused. His head almost exploded when I said it was for an external wastegate. I just sighed and walked away. Me thinks they only do like trucks and the likes.
  15. yeah I'm mildly interested... Just a little strapped for cash atm.
  16. engine bits have started rolling in. yay!
  17. yeah I want to keep my 17s for cheaper skids so I reckon the R34 GTT Brakes are going to have to do, I'll just some nice fluid and pads. Does anyone have R34 GTT Brakes they want to get rid of?

    Track Day

    count me in!
  19. These are exactly the reasons I choose GT Garage over pro automotive. Andy does awesome work, but so do Nick and Ben plus they are just friendlier blokes.
  20. Hey Guys, Just thought I'd make a new thread for my GTS Build instead of flooding the other one. Here is the before shot One ugly, poorly maintained, unloved skyline. Set me back $3500. It's a 1996 R33 Skyline GTS, that's been turboed; albeit poorly. Previous mods included: Stupid head unit that's totally unfathomable. Apexi PowerFC with Commander. Greddy electronic boost controller. lots of B&M gauges mounted on the dash. FMIC Stock R33 turbo that didn't have the water lines connected to it. 17" Multi fit 5 spoke mags. Inside the car it was all pretty good, a couple of cigarette burns but that was about it. Exterior was less than perfect, on the drivers side there was a deep scratch all the way along the door and the drivers side guard had some damage too, looked like someone backed into it. Paint needs a good cut and polish but should come up OK. The car's engine was quite broken and had some noisy bearings so that had to come out first thing. Gearbox had also seen better days and a replacement is on the way. Suspension\bushes\steering..... lets just not go there OK, it's quite broken. As far as clapped out Skylines go I think I took the cake. The original plan was to drift it the way I got it and see how I went from there, seeing as everything was broken and such activities would have been dangerous\insane I decided to bite the bullet and spend the big bucks up front to get something nice. So now, the exciting bits... the shopping list goes like this Engine Nissan N1 Oil & water Pumps Nitto Crank collar to suit N1 oil pump New Low temp Thermostat Nitto 1.2mm head gasket ACL Race bearings Nitto Forged Pistons Nitto forged H-beam rods Machine Head & Block Linish crank Bore and Hone Nismo 740cc injectors Tomei Poncams Management Haltech Plug in Pro ECU Turbo Garret 3076R Powertune high mount manifold 44m Tial Wastegate Suspension BC Adjustable Coilovers Tune agent Adjustable Castor Rods Whiteline blade adjustable Swaybars Drivetrain Stock RB25DET gearbox Tomei Traxx 1.5way mechanical LSD Roll cage Built by AZ. Brakes Atm they're stock NA brakes. Not sure what to get as yet I've also changed the hubs to 5 stud ones. We're aiming for about 300 plus KW Nick and Ben over at GT garage are doing all the work for me and they're doing a wonderful job too! Couldn't be happier. Here are some pics of the cage going in. Plenty more to come
  21. I like Nick at GT Garage, he's doing my Skyline atm and worked wonders with my WRX too.
  22. Where is this video you speak so fondly of?
  23. Yeah I know, their website is fkT, but what do you expect. If you want more info on the come and try day try calling Dick on 6224 4134 hopefully he'll be able to shed some light on the situation. Post up here if you find out anything as I'm sure there are other people in the same boat.
  24. Hey Guys, i thought I'd post this up here because some people have been asking about it. Can one of the mods make this sticky perhaps? Events for Feb 6th Feb - Come and try day @ Baskerville. 12th Feb - Motorkahna @ Symmons Plains 12th Feb - Oonah Road Hill Climb 13th Feb - Tas Super Series Round 1 @ Baskerville 19th Feb - Drift Practice Day @ Baskerville 20th Feb - State series Motorkahna round 1 @ Kempton 27th Feb - LCCT Club Day @ Symmons Plains I got all the details from http://www.cams.com....0125&to=&page=1 For most of these events all you need on your car is: - 900g or larger fire extinguisher secured in a metal bracket with bolts through metal with large washers on them. Needs with withstand a force of 25g. - Tail shaft strap, to prevent the drive shaft from hitting the ground if it breaks. (You don't need this if your car is registered) - Secondary means of securing the bonnet. eg. bonnet pins or strap. (I've seen people use dog collars and belts and all sorts, just as long as it stops the bonnet from opening should the stock latch fail) (Again, you don't need this if your car is registered) - Clear contact over the headlights (Only if there are multiple cars on the track at once.) - A blue triangle on your bonnet (or boot) where you battery is. (Or a white triangle if your car is blue, I made mine from electrical tape) - Coolant overflow can't just go on to the ground, I just re-routed mine into a drink bottle. If you use powerade you get an extra 15kW Normally you'd want to get there at like 8:30-9, scrutineering closes at 9:30 and racing starts at 10. You can usually join a club and get a CAMS licence on the day, cost's a bit though, can't remember exactly but I'd take at least $250 cash with you your first time. If anyone has anything more to add just post here and I'll add it to the OP. I'll try my best to keep this up to date.
  25. I think we're going to be needing videos of this track you speak so fondly of! Love your work mate, keep it up!
