  1. beer baron, i said 20-22 because i couldn't remember exactly. There is nothing stopping you from "making" a Mines GTR, and the same for a Z-Tune, you can make one from your existing GTR. And, as far as i knew, this was the ONLY way to bring one out to australia. Get a normal GTR here, compliance. Ship back to japan. Get Nismo treatment. Bring back to australia. This, technically, is NOT one of the 20 built. Granted the guy who told me that his clients car, that's a Z-Tune, which is not tracked, doesn't know a lot about jap imports. Owner's name was 'John'. i dunno... just something i heard. Because if the only way to bring one here, is to do the whole back and forth thing.. then we still don't have one of the ORIGINAL 20?? i could be getting confused somewhere along the line though...
  2. that lambo titanium silver DESTORYS millenium jade
  3. i thought the R34 turbo was the 12psi max, and the R32 and R33 could take more punishment?
  4. > = greater than... i was never saying KY0 was Millenium Jade, if that's what you took my post to mean... i was saying KY0 is greater than Millenium Jade. i never used the equals sign ppl's!!
  5. KY0 > Millenium Jade
  6. hahaha, it's kinda tuck away in the workshop there although, last i heard, it was near back out prowling the streets? this about 1+ month ago
  7. ylwgtr2 - factory GTR yellow (r34 gtr) KY0 is z-tune silver
  8. $10k? not too bad... i was thinking it was more like $50-100K
  9. thanks andrew, good idea i contacted one real estate agent, and the cheapest was $2000 to sleep 6, for 1 week!! me thinks they know the blues/roots festival is on
  10. what are these "expensive" entry fees?
  11. oh shoosh up all of you fact: it's going to stay "a" silver soooo, why not go for (IMO) the nicer looking one? quite simple really Z-Tune silver... lucky i didn't start that "what type of black should i respray my car" thread... "and that's the end of that chapter"
  12. hmmm... as far as i know, no GTT's had that dash standard, and i've never seen one listed without it saying 'changed to Nismo dash'. So i don't think it's an option, although, you never know... So it's the km's the dash is showing PLUS whatever it had done before. Any history with the car? Probably better to go off condition anyway... do a compression test, all that jazz. Better to choose a car that way... leather seats weren't even an option for the GTT as far as i know. Sounds like a very nice R34, got a link to it? details? year? asking price?
  13. NZ has no car industry to protect, hence the taxes/tariffs/import duties, whatever... are practically non-existent compared to what we pay on our cars here. Even have to pay a luxury car tax over ~$56k, which the GTR will also attract. So even if Nissan oz sold the R34 GTR here, it would still be would have been a lot more expensive compartively than NZ. Will still be $150k+
  14. i think because their "shipping" options, go via Air. 100,000 - 150,000 yen. But even when i asked one of the traders, slidewize or something, who would be using a container, the price ended up the same. so i don't know... all i know that if someone is willing, it can work out a heap cheaper to do excess baggage. I think the fact that it's not really weight, but how much space it takes up is the problem, volumetric price. It would be rear bumper, and side skirts, plus extra bits to fit to the side skirts and rear bumper
  15. cool, i'll check it out thoughts on this one? sorry, paint made the quality go bad. BUt it's the small writing under the main headings, that's the font i'm after as well...
  16. any ideas what font Adobe has used for the text? cheers, daniel
  17. the place i'm getting the body kit from, the owner did a japan-sydney flight with a full body kit. cost him 30,000 yen. otherwise it will cost around $1500 aud to ship it, compared to about $350-500 excess baggage costs. it's been done before, just wondering if anyone is keen EDIT: also can organise for packaged to meet person at airport to check in for the flight, and organise for it to be picked up at oz airport.
  18. hey y'all just wondering if anyone is coming back to Australia any time soon? Specifically melbourne? I have a hair brain scheme that involves some body kit parts and some "excess baggage" for someone to fly back with will make it worth your while. cheers, daniel
  19. a new Xenon headlight? prepare to bend over... rear indicator is very much run of the mill, an autobahn, super cheap auto, etc... can sort ya out for the rear indicator. But the Xenon, if they're factory, might be say, $100? you could ask Nissan to get them in, or you'd have to order online. I think they are D2R type Xenon bulbs. Not 100%
  20. i'm sorry dude. I'm a bit of a golf nut, but my work is just snowed under the moment, and i've been called up for duty on saturday. Don't think this is going to fit. sorry mate!
  21. 1585kg apparently. I think if nissan can keep the GTR to about 1650kg, they'd be doing well. i agree, weight is a HUGE performance factor. Just look at the lotus elise lineup! f*ck all engine power, but some crazy 0-100 times, just because they weigh bugger all. Gotta stay under 1700kg i say...
  22. hey y'all heading to the Blues and Roots fest in April, just sussing out some accommodation, and it's crazy!! i think i could book a chair in a corner of a room, for 1 night, for about $580... anywho... just wondering if anyone has any good Byron Bay contacts? rentable house/apartments? motel/hotel contacts? cheers, chinny
  23. well comparing it to the veryon isn't really comparing apples with apples is it? it costs 1 million dollars. Holden and Nissan are mass producing car companies, and so is Porsche. Bugatti is not. so strictly speaking, it's unfair on the commo to compare the HSV GTS to the GTR, 2 doors, 4 doors. I still say the 997 turbo is still the truest benchmark test for it.
  24. awkw or rwkw
