  1. hahaha what the? i'm like, wow... troy's started a thread, that's been a while
  2. hey y'all heading to the Blues and Roots fest in April, just sussing out some accommodation, and it's crazy!! i think i could book a chair in a corner of a room, for 1 night, for about $580... anywho... just wondering if anyone has any good Byron Bay contacts? rentable house/apartments? motel/hotel contacts? cheers, chinny
  3. don't give up yet Duncan.. gotta compare apples with apples... weight of the HSV GTS please
  4. hmmm... was this a GTR that was sent back to Nismo to get all the Z-Tune parts put on, then the car was sent back out? because i've heard there is one of the 20-22 here, but it's never been tracked. Meaning, there are 2 Z-Tunes. Both in melbourne, 1 is one of the original Nismo factory made ones, 1 is a fully kitted out one...
  5. ok... although, 1 inch is a lot in terms of difference of width... then again, you've got 19's as well.... oh man, this is a little tricky. got some pics of your car? 19" sounds interesting
  6. working till 11:30pm as far as i know.
  7. that's a major rip. from people who've had it done, doesn't cost anywhere near that.
  8. bingo. You're petition wording is flawed and will make people at Nissan scratch their heads when they read about 25 people worldwide wanting Nissan to "continue making turbo imports!!" turbo technology is still a viable performance option, 335i coupe, 997 Turbo, etc, etc, but Nissan has JUST managed to drag itself out of the water, and is going quite well at the moment. But recovering car companies do NOT want to start adding 3 performance models to cater for an ever increasing environmentally aware, public. And i would argue that Nissan Oz is quite happy for us to import, save them the cost of bringing the cars here themselves, market them, advertise them, dealership space...etc. etc. Instead, we bring em in, get them serviced, buy parts, get parts brought in from japan at stupidly high prices. No, i think Nissan quite likes it. We know that the car companies get their biggest marings from parts and servicing, it's probably a nice little bonus for them with all these imports running around.
  9. these articles lose credibility pretty quick when they continuously refer to it as a Skyline. and what's this crap about a 2009 GTR? why the hell would a car that's still got a little ways to go before it's released, be tested in 2009 form as opposed to the one that isn't even out yet? idiots... nice video though
  10. and this scrubbing is going to be a problem regardless of whether my car is lowered or not? and the other choice is 18 x 9.5 +25mm don't think that will help this is going to sound really crazy, but can you get someone to like "shave" down the middle hub bit of the wheel, so it sits in a bit further?
  11. maybe the poster was being sarcastic in regards to the person who said they'd come and then leave later. So drink, drive and get killed. Maybe inferring that, that wasn't the smartest plan... dunno, just a different perspective
  12. that regardless of lowering or not?
  13. 18 X 9.5 +35mm offset. Car isn't lowered at all, and can't really be lowered much. Will a set of these rims fit? Just fit, but not really? On the limit? Not a chance? cheers, daniel
  14. credibility lost when they called it a R35 GTR and i'll say again, 1800kg = no chance.
  15. ^ exactly. and i think some of the type face work on the other ads look dodgy... just looks like a big joke they may have had some grounding in fact at some stage.
  16. that's exactly what started me off on the idea in the first place. Saw a black r34 in HOng kong with black, stock rims. Looked great.
  17. have driven the 335i coupe, cannot tell that's a turbo car. Although, i think the turbo's are quite small, but still supremely impressive power delivery.
  18. i've always said $150-175K, and i'm going to stick with that. 997 turbo beater/competitor for half the price. and 1800kg's?? hahah, the M5 and M6 tip the scales in that direction. Not a chance the GTR will.
  19. 1800kg... not a chance in hell high 1600's is where i'm going to place the ceiling.
  20. feel sorry for you NT'ers who lost the privilege
  21. i was aware that Nissan is using the 997 Turbo as the benchmark. I've said for a while, 997 turbo beater, for half the price. That's where i reckon the new GT-R will fit. I think there is next to no chance of the next GT-R being 1800kg, i'm guesing around 1600kg. I don't think there is going to be any issues with the car, or its performance. The huge issues will be people spending that much on Nissan, and the ongoing service provided. The service levels provided between BMW M car owners (and BMW in generaly) and a say a Nissan 350z owner, are ENORMOUS! Current service is no where good enough to sell a car like the new GT-R. It will definitely need its own specialised team to look after the GT-R customers.
  22. if it goes on sale for $150k, i've got a few 'told you so' replies to post in GTR threads how heavy is the 997 Turbo?
  23. i can rock up at 10am, but i start work at 1:30, is it ok to just turn up for that amount of time? I work in south melbourne, so would be leaving about 1:20'ish... any rough ideas at this stage when the awards will be awarded?

  25. was only using Nismo as an example. I believe the Mines R34 GTR was around the 650hp?? I reckon it would be a decent match for this Porsche
