  1. hey everyone, just wondering if anyone puts it in 5th, when going 60kph?? i'm thinking from a fuel economy point of view, less rpm, less petrol used? It's probably around 1700, 1800 rpm? Is it bad, or make no difference, to use 5th when going 60?
  2. average of 4,700km's a year? do you mind if i ask how much you paid for it? don't think you need a turbo timer or boost controller to make the car run smoother. Just warm her up and cool her down... and the stock R34 turbo's can't take a whole lot of extra boost anyway... that's some crazy low km's... must be in mint/perfect condition....
  3. nah man, this is 2nd gear.... my car go do 350km/hr! yeah, yeah, 5th gear.... thought it was a little high that's all, 2800rpm.. and on that token... is it silly to use 5th gear when doing 60kph? i'm thinking purely from a fuel economy point of view. in that the less the rpm, the less petrol being used? But wasn't sure how good it was to drive at 60kph in 5th, at about 1700-1800 rpm
  4. i have the East Bear gtr bar on my GTT - will post pics when i get home. Yes, as tosh pointed out, it's not the one East Bear sells... and looks like the person has squeezed on a genuine Nismo one... guards don't really match too well
  5. hey all, long time owner, new time driver - so just making sure my car is going ok and everything... Just wondering what other manual, turbo, R34 owners cars are revving at when doing 100kph? My car seems to be around 2700 - 2800rpm, more 2800rpm... i thought it was a little high?? No modifications at all except splitfire coilpacks... is this a normal rpm for 100kph? cheers, daniel
  6. cool, i had a dodgy coilpack initially, over 1 year ago now... and the split fires took care of that... would run on 5 cylinders... but the car wasn't driven for like 20 months, and when it was turned on, it was just idle... or a quick spin round the block but wouldn't really go over 60kph, so i was wondering if the sparkies have just built up some crap on them after not really being used for so long. NGK Platniums.. good/bad? is there is anything recognised as the BEST spark plugs?
  7. has anyone installed one of BATMBL's kits?? I got the Kaixen (korean) kit off him but haven't put them in yet and when i looked the installation booklet, it wasn't very detailed.... plus the idea of having to take the front bumper off... so yeah, anyone done one of BATMBL's kits? otherwise... i might have to find time one day and make a DIY thread about it cos i'm sure other ppl have bought the same kit off him
  8. Hi guys'n'gals... i'm thinking i need new sparkies, but just wanted to check to see if it could be something else. Car on idle is a little chuggy... in that... if you just sit there, every 10-15secs or so there will be a "shudder" that goes through the car? if that makes any sense? is this maybe some fouled spark plugs? I've got splitfire coilpacks, but haven't changed the spark plugs... could the rough idling, chugginess, shuddering be a result of anything else? the shuddering isn't huge by any stretch, just feels like the car is running a bit rough that's all... cheers, daniel
  9. i didn't think the standard turbo's like any more than 12psi
  10. bump, $800 - these are in PERFECT condition everyone.... would be great powder-coated as well - have seen black ones on a black GTT, looks very tough. ALso seen white, looked great too.... gunmetal i guess would be an option as well. cheers, daniel
  11. ^ good luck getting a skyline there, unless you have limitless amounts of cash. consider yourself lucky in that respect.
  12. tyres are Federals, 225/45/17, not sure of the exact model... i'll have to sus that. they were kinda sold but have not heard from buyer so i guess they are still available. perfect condition rims. $800
  13. didn't know chrison did any animation... the designer that everyone wanted for the next GTR
  14. ^ ahh.. brighton east... i live in Sandringham - don't see many lines down our way
  15. heheh, i'll take that in jest and respond because the question has been asked. a big shout out to our friends in the Engineering community and the RAWS team... i'll leave it at that.
  16. there is a place that has prizes for simpsons trivia???????!!! there is never a conversation that goes by where you can't reference the simpsons in someway... and between Fox 8, Fox 8 +2 and Channel 10, there's bound to be the Simpsons on Troy in a dress??? i'm not sure if i'd want to see that *thinking of episode where Bart and Todd have the mini-golf championship, and homer and flanders have to mow each others lawns in their wives best sunday dresses *
  17. well KK in America is currently under investigation for tax fraud i think, or some tax dodginess - so they might fold in the states, and then for those worrying about american companies "invading" one of you guys can buy it and then it will be aussie owned i think they're really nice... but i think it's more due to the fact that i don't think aussies eat a lot of donuts and if we do, there isn't a huge choice besides like Dunkin's - so if someone came out with something nice like KK, for a type of product we aren't use to having a lot of choice for it seems like it will go down well. I'd imagine the Sydney shops are doing well... oh well, waiting for this guy who supposedly bought 12 franchises or something, to open one up a bit closer
  18. thought i'd mention that these rims look great powder-coated. have seen both white and black done. IMO black looks awesome on a black car (saw it done on a GTT in Hong Kong) - if i was keeping them, they'd be getting the same treatment. could even go gunmetal- look good without the centre caps as well cheers daniel
  19. well how much is different? - different body kit different rims engine mods? exhaust mods? interior changes don't matter. if you really wanted one, it wouldn't be any different than bringing in a modded R34, just gotta find standard parts. Actually come to think of it, i don't think the kit may matter too much... as long as it's not too low, spoiler too high, etc...... hmmm...
  20. ^ i liked that idea. will try and put that to use EDIT: referring to silver gts-t post
  21. $800 not one scratch, 95%+ tread left.
  22. by Bi-Xenon i guess you're referring to both hi and low beam being Xenon? i thought that Xenon for high beam wasn't worthwile as it's hard for the hi-beam to be instantly on? or is that not an issue anymore... man, Bi-Xenon, i know the newer bimmers have em... but fark... that's gotta be bright.. can you Bi-Xenon stock OEM R34 Xenon assembly's? i haven't put in my Kaixen lo-beam Xenon's yet.. hey marcus i see you decided to have a bash at this yourself good to see!
  23. have some stockies left over from my R34 (which is the same as SII RB25 as far as i know) thing is, 1 of them is buggered... would you know how to test which one is screwed? i put some splitfires in
