Will Z Tune Style Kit Fit Onto Standard R34 Gt ?
SS8_Gohan replied to ms.apexi's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
ahh.... no. The question says "if i have z-tune guards and bonnet", so the answer is yes, a z-tune front bumper will fit if you have a z-tune bonnet/guards, or any GTR bonnet. all the parts will fit if you've changing it all at once, plus a few other bits and bobs like bonnet hinges and latches. You can also modify a standard GTT bonnet to fit as well, if you're after a cheaper option for the bonnet. -
change the $ to GBP (pounds) and you're about on the money - they were low-mid $2000 - which i think is about equivalent to what Mines want for their uprights

What Is The Best Gear Knob To Suit Lift Reverse
SS8_Gohan replied to ricknismo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
so ah.... how do you actually get into reverse if the g/k you have at the moment doesn't account for it? -
1000hp R34 Gtr Vs Veyron
SS8_Gohan replied to adamskill's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
jeebus, they went to town on the interior of the 34... wonder if it's even still a 26, maybe RB30 perhaps -
i'll try and get the Saab organiser details - there were more 'skills' tests, like the reverse one, so i'll see if i can get a full run down of the day but i'll see if i can get the Porsche one as well, they look to have much more involved 'track/motorkhana' setup
-
i searched the Saab club forum, no real info - just basic flyer stuff like 'be there at etc, etc, directions are etc etc' - although there was a nice touch of 'bring a picnic lunch' very civilised, Saab owners didn't find much from a Porsche search, but was only a quick google. Found the results is there some specific info you would like and i'll try and dig it up?
-
that's why i was thinking for a bit of difference, a panel of judges on the skid pan - so you still have the clock going from start to finish, but you get extra bonus points for your best attempt at full lock action on the pan - 3 judges, scores out of 10 maybe it's seconds OFF your time. So you have your time and you can get a potential of 30seconds off your time if you are a dab hand at opposite lock
-
hahaha, i have no idea... i would think not but hey... if there is only 1 car/vehicle on the track at one time.... maybe?? Porsche guys obviously take things seriously, http://www.pcv.com.au/PorscheClubs/pc_vict...al_V5_Final.pdf
-
nope, i think here you either take out Mr Portacabin or Mr Gumtree - i think there might be a fence running along side the 'straight' just watched the Porsche run again, that's a nice little circuit. Should have kept the GTT! i guess the question is do the executive see any merits to the idea? Saab club could run the day for $40, that's great value
-
no offence to the Saab club, but just found this on youtube.... those Porsche guys got the idea! for the skid pan, should introduce style points for that bit though
-
Ok, a friend of mine did this with the Saab club a while back and i looked like quite a bit of fun for only $40! Basically, it's using the Atwood driving complex in a different way than what we're use to. For those who've done the Driver Dynamics days there would be familiar with the skid pan, and also the "track" as well for driver training. Well this is using the complex as a 'long wang' of sorts. Close to Melbourne, pretty bloody cheap and looks like you have to be pretty precise as well There was also a reversing comp they were running, but the video doesn't seem to be there anymore. Basically it timed runs through a cone layout whilst in reverse I would officially suck at that, but looked like fun. Here's the Atwood version of the 'long wang'
-
no dramas i know what you mean though, the off the shelf 'canned' tunes for 'any' application are playing with fire a bit it's interesting though how different tuning philosophies have developed between Japan and Oz though, maybe slight diff, but different none-the-less
-
hahaha, that would have been funny to line up, TYE132 and TYE133 - you rego it around March '06?
-
the ECU was fully tunable 'at the time' it was tuned. We just don't have the software to use it out here. But the setup for my car hasn't changed, so the ECU is fine for the current setup.
-
that's alright, i'm interested too! compliance wasn't cheap, obviously a decent whack of labour involved and required patience... just looking over some of the bills for this thing. I wouldn't undertake the exercise lightly if doing it again. Compliance was $$ but still presented some decent value i thought at the end of the day, although not all might see it that way

profile update!! thanks mate. You have one of the best 33's on here, hands down - if i didn't go the R i would have serious started contemplating building up my 34 more the way you've gone. yeah, some random guy gets in the passenger seat just completely out of the blue! lol just gets in... he thought it was like the motor show or something! hahah, strange fellow... It's definitely not in keeping with some of the established Australian tuning philosophy, that's for sure but Midori did build a time attack car that could best the Mines car on occasion around Tsukuba, so they must have some idea what they're doing The titan exhaust is definitely louder than the GTT, took some getting use to but it's ok now - i really don't think it would be illegal under normal testing conditions. Would be interesting to compare to the Racepace exhaust. If i can find a 34 R airbox that doesn't cost a zillion dollars, i might try and do a back to back comparison. Pods prob weren't my first choice but i know these guys have been at GTR's for a long time, so i trust their judgement. I'm sure i'm bound to fiddle but this was how she was built, so i'll just enjoy it like this for a little while. we got some of the Midori receipts, and the owner certainly put down the $ that's for sure. Better him than me! hahah It's still no HKS Step 2 RB28 Vcam Matt, let's not forget that! In the hands of some handy drivers, would be interesting to see whether all the suspension work on mine is able to make up for the power/torque difference around a track - i'd prob think highly unlikely, but would be an interesting test none-the-less yessss..... such a shame you weren't there............ the wing has grown on me. Ze baron knows how i've um'd and ah'd on that point But it's FULL carbon, another Midori item, and mega $$ new... i kinda feel guilty replacing it ooo... is that the city of the Porka? something different for Trent to tune thanks for all the kind words peoples! hope to get out there a bit more now that blackie has been sold and the new one is here
-
i can post this now my R was built by Midori, and they used an Impul ECU with their tune - from what Trent can tell the timing is pretty damn aggressive but it's pretty rich by our standards, easily 11's - and something in the order of 200-220kms of normal issue driving, shifting at maybe 4K, absolutely grandma-ing it i 'think' i managed 300km once, but generally in the 200's. we'll see if we can get some more info from the ECU, be interesting to see what the maps look like
-
did this happen towards the beginning of long wang? dude, so sorry to hear glad you guys are alright though, that is definitely something to be thankful for after a motorsport 'incident' yeah, just make sure everything is ok in the next little bit, you can get delayed reactions to these sort of things
-
your case was mega bad luck, you were in if it weren't for some other plebs in the business doing deals without the big man knowing it seems and yes, there was severe disappointed at one stage when it seemed this car was gone, but ze Baron persisted! we also have ze Baron to thank for getting this beautiful car to Australia. The man knows how to import cars oils ain't oils and importing ain't importing - muchos gracias senior Baron, may Rex Banner never find you

same, diff centre caps of which i'm not particularly a fan, so i rock em without them. 18 x 9.5 +12 that might be it wv2 - is there any silver codes with G in it?
