  1. i agree with the Baron, BUT i think Nissan are going for a cash grab, leveraging off the popularity of the base model. They'll sell out of them, however many, as given the price, should be making a profit on these ones. THEN, my guess, is there will be a V-Spec II or something else which WILL have a decent power increase, etc... i think it's safe to say most of us are disappointed that there wasn't a significant power increase, or greater use of CF for big panels like bonnet/boot/front guards, etc... But i'll withhold judgement until we see how it performs on the track. Because if you think about the base models specs on paper, it shouldn't do as well as it does. No Ceramic brakes, fat as without monumental power, no liberal uses of CF, etc... But it's still blown away almost everything. So i'm hoping that the SpecV whilst on paper may not look much different, which pull the same trick and just turn out to be an absolute monster. As long as it can knock off the ZR1, that's all that matters
  2. GB is useless, you just need to machine polish the outside with paint polish. You just need an aggressive pad and polish combo

    Nurburgring

I know someone living over in Germany Chard, who goes to the Ring every now and then just to have a bit of a sticky and take some photo's (DSLR, and all the good gear, etc) so he might know the score. i'll let ya know
  4. old pic, but if you need some spares or whatever...
  5. let me know how you go with this, i have some interesting noises that ALWAYS disappear whenver i drive near my suspension place, so damn annoying! mine are 99% from the rear only though. They have also checked once to make sure everything is tight. Does your happen whilst turning or just going straight over bumpy roads?
  6. if you're using HP soap from a DIY, it will strip your wax... that shit is just too harsh. Not even say Z2 Pro will handle much of the DIY soap. I have tank + Karcher setup at home. Leaf trap -> silt trap -> tank filter -> tank -> in-line pump filter -> pump -> inline Karcher filter -> Karcher wash when it's raining or the sun goes down, so the panels don't dry. And will be monitoring the pH levels in the tank, and correct if need be, if the pH level goes into a range where it will be detrimental to wax. love being able to wash at home now.
  7. error 21 can include coilpacks, a very common problem. my car did the same thing, seems to be a common thing with the RB25's. Trent at Status was able to take it out with a remap, so it was prob the ecu pulling timing. considering it's an ignition error, what you checked the coils/spark plugs? how new are the plugs and what are they? if you're in melb, take it to Trent @ status
  8. bout $800 i think, it's on the website somewhere
  9. usual local dribble
  10. "The improvement in engine power is the result of ECU tuning and engine craftsman’s accuracy and skill level gains" oh dear, someone unpossibly failed english. Skill level gains? wtf??? and how povo is the attached pic of wheels? Man, if someone at MB or BMW put that sort of shit out to potential customers, they would be fired on the spot. It's just atrocious. It's the sort of thing you get when buy shit from the yahoo auctions or the for sale section here! "Pics inside, no gutter rash!" and yes, demand a 375kw MY09 GTR! Are you sure it's a mistake? it's not a MASSIVE jump...
  11. i "think" with a GTR fuel rail, they might
  12. i think the GTR injectors for R34 are 400 or 440cc, ok to around 300rwkw on the 26 setup, i think. but i don't think they fit a NEO RB25, but haven't found a definitive answer yet. And just did some searching for 'deatschwerks' and there's lots of hate and lot's of love... i thought i had stumbled onto something new'ish obviously not... i'm kinda leaning away from them now. damn it, back to Nismo....
  13. ahh Dan, the trail blazer once again I've been looking for new injectors, and all i could find were Sard or Nismo. Sard get shit-canned and Nismo ones are about $1300 delivered. No thanks. Scoured everywhere, can't find any 2nd hand Nismo ones and just came across 'deatschwerks' today. Was just about to search this section, and saw this thread. Firstly, what cc did you get and what do you think of the Deatschwerks?? I believe people like the Nismo and blitz (discontinued) because they had a 4 hole spray pattern, how do the Deatschwerks compare to Nismo? The only other mob that might be able to offer something seem to be RC engineering, again, another US alternative. Did you ever come across those? Price wise the Deatschwerks are very competitive compared to the Nismo ones, but would be great to get some real life feed back cheers, chinny
  14. so this is a response mod then rather than a power mod??
  15. so what exactly do the cam gears do and what are the benefits of upgrading to these? and from the previous post it seems for a NEO RB25, i'd only need 1?
  16. Trent, it's Christmas mate, have a break! hahah, guess i'm still up (stupid present wrapping) - see ya soon for some new turbo goodness!
  17. for what POSSIBLE reason would you want that to happen?!
  18. idle seems ok but it's through the revs that has me a bit concerned. i also started hearing this knocking noise too?? don't know what that was. From the drivers seat, it "seemed" like it was coming from my left a bit, and quite close to the firewall, so the back of the engine bay. That's what it seemed like. two together point to anything??
  19. Never looked at my oil pressure a whole lot but noticed the other night that at idle, is sits on about 2 and prob doesn't get much passed i guess 3? (which is the next mark along) I'll have to check again, but i think that's what it's about. I've had the car for about ~30K km, and it's seen one lot of Mobil 1 0w40, and i think 3 lots of Royal Purple 5w30. I swear i've seen the gauge a lot higher before, like halfway and higher, so i'm concerned my oil pressure is too low. I'm assuming weight/viscosity of the oil makes a difference, but for those running TRUE synthetics (ie, not castrol edge, etc) is this pressure too low?? cheers daniel
  20. do you guys have a turbo that is say comparable to the HKS GTRS? looking for the most response possible, and maybe 230-250rwkw
  21. reckon any of these would be comparable to an HKS GTRS?
  22. you rang? that turbo, that wouldn't be the one i'd be looking at would it? i'd be after the hi-flow option? i don't really know much about reading those graphs, but is the GTRS a lot more responsive down low? or is the actual road difference not that much?
  23. if you have no wax on your car previous to the water marks, unfortunately i'd doubt clay would do anything. you'll most likely need a machine polish and quite possible an aggressive cut as water marks can be stubborn buggers
  24. Sandringham, near sandy east primary, maybe about 5-6 in a couple block radius have lights. don't see the attraction personally
