  4. Is this for CAMS regulations? I was reading some regs of theirs recently and I got the impression that only cars built before like 1986 or something needed secondary restraints.
  5. Chassis stands? I have a set of stock suspension but one of the front struts is missing the rubber bushes from the top and one stud on it is damaged meaning you would only be able to use one of the two upper bolts to hold it on. It was be fine to roll around on but I wouldn't do much driving on it. It is repairable, and the rubber bushes shouldn't be too hard to find but I couldn't be bothered atm. I'm in ryde.

I think it was a low 1.9 but I got a high 1.8 on another run but accidentally short changed 1st gear and made up for that blunder by hitting the rev limiter in 2nd giving a crap time instead of what it could have been. If I had known you were keen I would have let you know Brad. There was a few spare spots. I'll pm you if I see something come up. I keep forgetting to bring the timeslip in to work to scan.

  8. There has been a few very indepth technical discussions on here about painting intercoolers black.   9. Ok we have some price drops. Front pair GTT seats $400 Diff, shafts, hubs etc for rear end, $500 the lot. Good for 5 stud conversions.
  10. It's not going to be good enough at that boost level. I had 190rwkw with it and that was fine but I wouldn't go much higher. Remember to a certain extent, an intercooler is just a heat sink and if you have a small one you will get heat soak that much quicker.
  11. It was an auto only tip. Basically I had one foot on the brake and the other stalling it up but the tip was to use the handbrake as well so as to hold it stronger. Got about 150 extra rpm which got me about 5 psi boost off the line. I also utilised previous 2rismo tips in doing 3rd gear burnouts. Tyres were nice and warmed up although a couple of times when the burnout wasn't quite as big I found out how far down the track the prep went. Top of 2nd gear wheel spins anyone? It doesn't even do that on the street with my shitty Falkans.

  13. Thanks guys. No new mods since my last 13.4's, just practice. Still auto. This is from the other thread I started: I've been quite frustrated by my bad drag times so far in my car. Even when I had the stock turbo I seemed to be way behind the pack. I've been to a few wednesday night street meets and in my unprofessional opinion they suck for everything bar socialising. Too many cars, not enough runs, too many rotaries dropping oil all over the track. I figured what I needed was a private track day with lots of runs to practice so I went to the V8owners track day on sunday (I was invited by the organisers who know me) and I practiced. First run 13.4 Second run 13.3 Third run 13.2 Fourth run 20.4 Fifth run 13.08 Sixth 13.4 Seventh 13.2 Eighth 12.9!!!! At this point I rang 2rismo who gave me a little tip and told me I had a 12.8 in it. I didn't believe him and consequently stuffed the next 3 runs up. Next I started paying attention and I got about 4 12.8's and then 3 12.7's each time dropping a few hundredths on my ET. My MPH on my final pb of 12.764 was about 105.xx but interestingly I got 107.95 and 107.88 on other runs so maybe I've got a 12.6 in it? I've got steel wires sticking out my tyres now and a grin from ear to ear. I made lots of smoke and put some of the V8's to shame, although one guy made my 190km/h burnout over the start line look lame by burying me in his tyre smoke.   19. I've heard a fwe people say R33 boxes are stronger but I read about a silvia workshop car that used the GTT box cos the guy thought it was stronger. I've never heard of a GTT box dying in my years of GTT interest. That said I've picked a GTT box up and it's quite light, dunno if this is good engineering or anything else though. Ratios FYI: 3.214 - 1st 1.925 - 2nd 1.302 - 3rd 1.000 - 4th 0.752 - 5th 3.369 - reverse 4.111 - diff I've got a GTT complete rear end available if you need anything.
  20. Compression ratio is different and I don't know how they arrived at it. Probably just in the head but don't really know. I don't think the gearboxes are the same. Are we talking manual or auto? Search 666Dan's posts on here. He turbo'd his DE rather than going DET swap. I would think there would be some wiring differences.

  22. Have you had your injectors flow tested and cleaned recently? Cometic make a fairly good quality gasket and they are pretty cheap by comparison to big Jap brands.
