  1. +1 Can't work out what actually happened here.
  2. When it sells out you will have missed out but just before then is ok. The catch is that we don't know when it will sell out. Looks like coming down to the wire this time. This is correct Michele. $17 and 20 minutes. Even if you buy it and then fit it on the morning at the track it's worth it.
  3. I was with Famous and didn't like the way they dealt with my claim but if I was younger I wouldn't worry about that.
  4. You don't shit stir but the way we do things is "crap", Duncan - who does all his own mechanical work bar machining - is a cheque book racer, you say he "thinks he's so awesome" when in actual fact he is far more humble than someone with his skills behind the wheel should be, you happily gloss over facts like comparing a thursday track day with 60 cars to a weekend track day with 40 and massively misrepresenting the cost difference but you don't shit stir? Just to clarify: 1. Our track day is 45% more expensive than the other one in the events section if you are a member and 64% more expensive if not. Do you think we are making profits to go cheque book racing? 2. Our track day is on a weekend and the other one is not. All tracks charge a lot more for weekends because that's when most people are available to race. Supply and demand. 3. Our track day is limited to 40 cars whereas the other one is 60. If you think you will go faster with a 60 car field it's because you have no idea and no experience. How can a bunch of cars getting in your way make you go faster? It makes as much sense to say I can get to the airport in peak hour faster than at 10pm. 4. Regarding the whore threads and club membership; It has been personally explained to you numerous times that there is a distinct difference between the club and the forums. If you still don't get it it's because you are stupid, however I know you do get it, you are just being belligerent. If you think this last sentence was me calling you stupid you are being belligerent again because I plainly was not. FFS man, come or don't come. I don't care either way. Just stop being so rude and belligerent and please check your facts before you post.
  5. I was like, sif not be splitting already. The only time a car spends any amount of time behind me is when I'm waiting at the lights.
  6. Wont that heat up your rear right tyre?
  7. Ok time to ramp this up people. We need: A) Excitement. B) More entrants. Can you all please tell all the people who you know like track or could be interested in it as we need more entrants to make this financially viable. If you are a keen and helpful club member put it in your signature and let's get this show on the road!!
  8. You'll find that a lot of guys on here have fast bikes as well. They are different beasts. I kept the Skyline when I got into bikes though. Only $6k for a 10yo Bandit that supposedly does 10' s off the showroom floor.
  9. I've got one sitting at home.
  10. No problems.
  11. I've always thought it was dodgy to say that the price went up in Singapore so it goes up at the bowser. I mean, the petrol was already at the servo before the price went up in Singapore.
  12. So the whole peak oil thing is starting to look like the real thing.
  13. Thanks Matt. It's looking more and more like his fault to me.
  14. Thanks man.
  15. I think the speeding factor is largely irrelevant. I had a similar crash years ago and the woman who hit me came through a stop sign without stopping. She said I was speeding and the coppers said they didn't care cos she should have given way. Also a case came through my work about an accident in same situation re the intersection, the other car was said to be speeding, speedo stuck on 85km/h at impact but he had locked up a bit before the impact. Anyway the judge said that he was probably speeding although by how much was in doubt and that the car coming out of the T intersection should have given way. This was a civil case so different standards of proof than if it was a criminal case. If I remember right it was the car in your equivalent position that sued for injuries and the other guy died. They won but had a large amount deducted (50% I think) for contributory negligence. I guess you could read into that that it was 50/50 fail to give way/speeding but it is well known that when faced with an injured plaintiff and a responding insurance policy, the judge will do their best to get the plaintiff up. I read that the fail to give way is more important than the speeding. I couldn't see the skid marks in the pics though. Can you somehow highlight them?
  16. It almost looks like he was trying to turn and didn't make the corner, hit you instead. Where did you end up? (car)
  17. Bump to keep it fresh in people's minds.
  18. Justice and money mate. One buys the other.
  19. Yavuz should know. You can test the bov by blocking it off with a piece of aluminium but it could just be the boost controller not set up right or not enough preload on the wastegate actuator. Anyways, regardless, you wont care for a couple of months at least.
  20. Hmmz, sounds like a tough one to diagnose over the net mate. At first glance it appears to be all your fault but second look not so sure. It would depend a lot of where you both were exactly in relation to the intersection but the possible speeding I don't think will be a factor. At it's most basic level, you were supposed to give way and it appears you didn't. He might have made some crazy crash avoidance move which went wrong though.
  21. Very nice ramp up Chubb. I wonder why it drops off up high though. What exhaust?
  22. I don't understand what actually happened.
